I think these are some of the most superb books in the world, and I have read each and every one of them. I own several.
Be Careful:
Do Not Read Outcast of Redwall. I think this one is horrible.
Aside from that, I think the rest are very good.

I used to read that series! I think my favorites were Mattimeo and Martin the Warrior, they were awesome. I also liked Marlfox and Pearls of Lutra. Pearls of Lutra was great because it was fun trying to figure out the riddles. Then again, all Redwall books are fun to figure out riddles.
My favorite thing about the series is reading the mole-speech. Its so funny! Especially in the Bellmaker, which I only got halfway through, then I had stopped for some reason that I cannot remember now..

This1 read the original one where the little mouse got all the weapons of Martin the Warrior and fought aginst that big rat. Other then that this1 has seen some of the cartoon series where there is, for some reason, another little mouse who gets kidnapped.

Moppeh I've read every single book in that series, (my reading speed is 1000-some words per minute, so it's not that big of a deal for me), and while I think that the plot is good, there is only one plot. The books are repetitive, and tedious. I wouldn?t recommend them as a series, though only reading one or two books is fine. It's a bit repetative, but not so much. The places are different, the people are different. So what is they allk follow the same track. Most movies today follow the same track, but everyone still wathces them.

Most movies today follow the same track, but everyone still wathces them. No, not all movies follow the same track. And not all other books do either, but Redwall as a series has one plot for the entire series: something bad happens, young redwaller must find sword/fight evil, evil defeated, all have big feast. There are of course a few exceptions, my favorite book is The Long Patrol, which does not follow that plot at all.

Well...er... I thought Redwall was a very boring book. I didn't enjoy the way he wrote. I don't know... something about the novel was bland. It didn't appeal to me... which is weird because I'm addicted to Erin Hunter's The Warriors series which is simular in many ways besides the fact that it's about cats instead of rodents. It must be the author.

I love this whole series, with the possible exception of Outcasts. All the descriptions are so rich and the characters well drawn.
Yes, the plots do revolve around problems and heroic actions, but there are many series like that.
So, a big thumbs up from me!

I LOVE THESE BOOKS!
Or rather, loved. I think I got sick of the series around book 8? 9?
Anyway, Martin was my favorite character!! He was pretty darn sexy, for a mouse I mean. xd And Muriel of course, for she was the one with girl power...oh and I didn't like Outcasts either. That was the one with Martin, and the prison place...yeah, haven't read them in a while.

Anyway, he was some kind of "evil" vermin. I didnt like that one much either. I used to obsessed with this series, like some are with Harry Potter. Now, since I've read all of them so far, I really only read the new ones just so I can still say I've read all of them. It sounds silly I know, but I can't help it. I do still enjoy them, and I think I read Loamhedge twice because something didnt quite click the first time. My favorite one is The Legend of Luke, because angsty Martin is just so much fun to read. ^^
