Well how did you? How long have you been into Gothic Lolita? Who or what got you started into it?

Three years ago I was watching a show on TV with my mother, they were talking about Japan (Harajuku, being specific). We both fell in love with the lolita style, and then did some research. The style then had me get into Jrock music, mostly Malice Mizer, Dir en Grey, and PLC. But, since last year I have decided to 'dress up'. It's about time anyways.

Plutokat Well how did you? How long have you been into Gothic Lolita? Who or what got you started into it? I've been into Gothic Lolita for about a year, I'd say. I blame jrock for my interest. Mana and Kana in particular. Hey, their names rhyme. I never thought of that. xd

I got into gothic lolita three or four years ago when I first heard of Malice Mizer while looking for J-pop. When I first saw them I loved them soo much I learned ever thing about them in like a month. I even bought one of there CDs which coast $36. well in the prosses of finding all this info Gothic Lolita came up so I looked into that and from that day forward Gothic Lolita has been a HUG part of my life.

I have admired the fashion for quite a while, and I'm not sure how I originally found it. Just that lately I've been looking more into it.

I admired the idea of dressing up in puffy skirts and victorian style fashion for a while... and i thiought they had beautiful clothes... and then i stumbled across the gothic lolita thread in general discussion and discovered how wide spread this whole fashion was. i love it, but to buy a lot of the stuff is $$$$ and yeah *shrugs* so i just make do with what ive got and dress kinda weird. *shrugs* but yeah ^_^

I had heard people talk about it for a while, but didn't really know what it was until I found NV's gothic lolita thread that she had before she made this guild. I was like "woah! this is the coolest thing ever!", and have been into it ever since. So yeah. basically I've been into Gothic Lolita for only a couple of months....I'm still a EGL "newb" ^_^

Sailor moon = Anime = Japan = Music = Fashion = heart XD But I've always adored anything to do with Victorian clothing that sprang from when my Mother used to make corsets for a living; and when I found out about E.G.L's a few years ago; I thought it was the most dandy thing.

I went on the internet to look at pictures of it and voila! I discovered Mana and then J-Rock.. and.. well.. yeah.

Um....I saw all the j-rock threads in the Music Discussion...and I downloaded some...and saw pictures...and saved a bunch...
And then I kindve saw Gwens video "What you waiting for" and was like " Hey! Its like J-rock clothes!" and heard her mention of Harajuku and researched it, and still didnt know the name of this wonderous culture...and then found a thread in the Site Discussion asking for more Lolita clothes, then I went to some links she had posted, and then I knew. And know I love it.

I had always admired the style, even though I didn't really know there was a name for it. o.O In reality, you could say that I have loved it all my life, but I really got interested in it throughout the past two months.
I think it started with a gothic lolita section in my cosplay book. xDDD

I saw a picture of Mana and foolishly thought he was a woman. But I lived his outfits, and reseearched on him, and thus I was into it. A little while back, I foudn Kana, and loved her just as much, which pulled me into making the clothing, as well as loving it from afar. I would dress up, if I lost some weight. Its been, lets say, almost two and a half years. Lolita's becoming a lifestyle for me, though, fast. I can't help myself, I love it too much. ^__^ <3
