I came across a topic like this in ED earlier, so I thought I'd bring it up here. Do you think animals have souls?
I do realize by this being an animal guild, most of you will probably agree with me that they do have souls, so to expand on this subject, why do you think other people don't believe so?
Personally I think religion has a lot to do with it. Most Christians believe that animals do not have souls, I think because it is in the Bible that it is not so. I'm not exactly sure on that, but I've heard from another source.

I think people might not think they have souls because they have trouble believing things lower on the totem pole than humans have souls

Dea and #Teddy# I think people might not think they have souls because they have trouble believing things lower on the totem pole than humans have souls funny thing is, based on attitude towards other living beings, some humans are lower on the totem pole then the aminals

of corse animals have souls!!! there living breathing creatures that each have their own personality and they sometimes do fall in love, my cat charlie is in love with my stuffed animal, andtime he sees her he is a kitten again and he purrs sooo much, its like a joyous reunion. things happen... animals have lives and yes they most definatly do have souls!!! 3nodding 3nodding

Well, if you're a japanese, you would believe animals have souls. Its part of their lifestyle. It really depends on what religion you're in.

like duhhhh of course they have souls and i believe they live on after death because i believe i was a cat in a previous life
