Great. Just great. Seph's being borrowed by Colin and Dan for the day, mom's gone somewhere again, there's no one at the other house but the emo fox to talk to, and I'm bored as heck! What am I to do but to wander the halls of D-Corp. The EMPTY halls...It's so....frustrating.... "Why does this day stink like a skunk?!"

Vivina slouched and trudged through the hallway, turning corners left and right, and pretty much getting lost. Or at least trying to lackadaisically. Her wooden sword was at her side in her new leather belt which she bought not to long ago. Her hat was pulled over, casting a shadow over her large, dark eyes. The next corner turned led to an unlit hallway, making Vivina's mood even more dismal.

Shrugging, she stopped halfway through and looked up at a bulletin board filled with paper and announcements. Joy, more legal stuff about training and classes. She wondered when her mom would sign her up for the fighting classes she's been looking forward to. In fact, she wondered when her mom would be back from wherever she was to remind her.

For the past few days, Et has been out a lot working on "business". Vivina knew it wasn't work since her mom didn't have an official job except some paperwork to be done at home and on the computer. She guessed it was one of those home jobs. Sure didn't seem like it now.

Besides her mom's absense, no one was ever at the Mushroom house to talk to over the phone nowadays. Colin and Dan are intrigued with Seph so no point into asking for him back for a few days at most. Wonder what they're doing to him. Probably testing the tickle quality of his tail feathers. Vivina giggled at the thought and turned back to the main hallway.

Was his mind developed to think up the phrase Terpsichore would be thinking 'screw it'. He was so sick of this shedding stuff! It had only been going on a couple days but his mood had worsened since it started, his vision was blurry, he felt itchy all over, he was just... plain... pissed off!

So he'd abandon Ligeia who was far to optimistic and his father who was saying it was a 'natural' process that snakes went through. He could say it calmly because he wasn't the one who's skin was coming off! The cobra child looked back and forth down the darkened halls, he had no idea where he'd gotten himself since he'd snuck off but... it looked like everything else looked: Blurry. And on top of that dark...

Dark... He tilted his head, groped his way along the walls until he found a doorway then slithered inside. Maybe he could find somewhere dark and peaceful to coil up until his skin finished falling off? If he were luckily. He reached his hands out in front of him as he made his way into the classroom, then gave a hissing sound when he found something that could suit his needs. He pulled himself up and then crawled through the hole that was inside of a large bass drum in what would have appeared to be a music room could he see, and he coiled up inside it.

It was warm in here, small, safe, and quiet. Not a bad place to way out the hell that was shedding...

Vivina paused as she heard something move. Now who else could be here in this building on a dull day like this? Peeking over the corner, she saw something vaguely familiar crawl into a room. Curiosity taking over her, she tiptoed over to the door, wondering if what she saw was just her imagination from boredom, for she didn't hear anything else coming out of the room. It was quiet again as if nothing happened.

Standing on her tiptoes, she peered through the window, only for her vision to be obscured by a poster dead smack right on the glass window of the door. Great, just her luck. She relaxed her legs and peeked through the door, which was partially open. She didn't see any signs of life in there, nor did she think there would be any. Vivina took a deep breath and gathered her pride and her phrase of wisdom "Girls think they're weak because they let themselves be in front of boys. Show them they're wrong and be tougher than tough." Where she got this little phrase she doesn't remember, but it surely had an effect on her.

The sugar glider pushed the door open and nearly jumped in, just in case someone was there to attack her, just like in the movies. Frowning and slightly disappointed, she calmed down and stood up straight. She didn't know that that could have been embarrassing had anyone saw her. Fortunately, there wasn't anyone around, or to her knowledge there wasn't. She looked around the room and wondered what this itching feeling was. She usually got it whenever she's alone and someone decides to sneak up to her or approach her from behind. It is because of this that hardly anyone is able to sneak up behind her to attack or simply scare her. Must be the intense fencing she's been doing.

Vivina paced and wondered why she got this feeling in an empty room and suddly froze in her spot as a thought dawned upon her. Maybe someone was here to attack her. Or even kidnap her. But this is D-Corp...they wouldn't do such a thing...or would they? She didn't like the looks of some the whitecoated men so she wasn't entirely sure on that. Apprehensive, Vivina quiet stepped up to a bare wall with no cabinets or desks near her so she could get a view from wherever she might be attacked. She slowed her breathing and chanced to speak, hoping that she wouldn't have to regret this decision. "H-h-hello? Anyone in here?"

Ter's yellowed eyes fluttered open, he was just getting comfortable and someone had already found his secret hiding spot that wasn't really all that secret? He have a hissing sound which only seemed to echo within the bas drum and make it sound louder and more intimidating from the outside. A loud, low hissing sound that came from one of the darkened corners where one could only see the vague shapes of the intruments that were stacked there.

Apparently it seemed there were monsters loose in D-corp? Ones that took up residence in the music room?

((xD goes to show you that I am not paying attention to anything...gah I feel like dur...))

Vivina jumped at the noise that seemed to come out from one of the more crowded corners. A hissing noise...like steam escaping out of a small opening on a pot, except more animal like. She looked around the room, more so at the corner and wondered what was making the noise. A broken steam pipe? No, there would have been a noise indicating that. Plus, that kind of noise was more of rushing water than a hiss. Hesistantly, she crept over to the corner where the noise was loudest.

The instruments in this corner were stacked high, although the dark shadow over them made it look more of a single large behemoth of a musical tool. Vivina walked closer to the base of the pile and noticed a few large drums. Inside one of them, however, was something lumpy and black. At first she thought it was some sort of cloth stuffed into the bass, like the ones she's seen. Except those were white and not black...

The hissing noise was definitely coming from the drums, but it seemed that it was everywhere and as if there were more than one thing hissing. Shuddering, Vivina decided to check out one of the drums, despite her shaking body. "Uh....is anyone...h-here?"

Augh! It was getting closer to his new hidey hole. Whatever it was, whoever it was would discover him here... he would have to go back! He didn't want to it was nice and quite here... He coiled up some and pushed so that he was half out of the drum, he gave a loud hissing-roar sound... as scary as he could make it then brought his hands down on the side of the drum. Which in turn made a loud sound in and of itself that gave the snake child a startle and he flared up.

He flailed his hands a little bit then looked around trying to figure out what that sound had been seeming to forget that someone else was in the room. He had the attention span of a small child it seemed so... maybe he wasn't that much of a monster.

Vivina jumped a good distance as she heard a louder hissing noise right in front of her as well as a loud banging noise. Falling over onto her bottom, she noticed a figure moving behind the bass drum where most of the noises were coming from.

Crawling slowly over, she noticed it was the snake boy she's seen around now and then. What was he doing here? And hiding? And hissing? She didn't notice that he was shedding due to the dark of the corner and so did not know immediate answers to her questions.

Vivina took her wooden sword and decided to nudge him from a distance, to see if he was alright and if he would attack her or not. She favored the former and hoped that she wouldn't be in trouble. Prodding gently, she asked a question. "Uh....are you...ok or something?" Ok, maybe that was lame, but Vivina just jumped 2-3 feet right after what might have been several dynomite fuses slowly being burned and a roll thunder. Her brain was still recovering from temporary shock and didn't have much to think of.

The snake flared up then lunged to bite the swird, blinked a couple of times as he realized that he was gnawing on something that was made of wood. He blinked again before he released it started to rub at his eyes again, "Hissu?" Who was there? He flicked his tongue out at the person that was standing there, she smelled different then anyone that he had gotten that close to before, "Hissssssa!"

He crawled up and pulled himself up and coiled up on the top of the drum, "Hiss Hiss Hiss." The end of his tail flicked back and forth as he watched her, she was a blurry shape that he couldn't make out. Nobody dangerous though or she wouldn't have poked him with the sword. He would have gotten beaten with it...

Vivina blinked and stared blankly at the end of her sword. Ew....saliva and other icky stuff was now soaking into the wood. Her attention then snapped back to the kid. "Oh! It's you....the...the...the...snake kid. Ligeia's brother? Uh....like I said, whatcha doing here all alone? Lemme guess, bored to death?" Sighing, Vivina bent down and pet Ter's head. "Now what's your name again? Begins with a T. Ter...Ter...Ter...Ter something." Gah! How could I forget something as simple as a name? Well that happens a lot. Oh well.

Putting her sword away, she looked at Ter and wondered if he knew who she was. It hadn't occured to her that snakes shed and Ter was flakey all over. Her mind had not gone to that conclusion yet. "Ooh....got a skin problem? Does it hurt? It's creepy kinda..." She looked closely at Ter and observed his body, amused at this phenomena. "How'd you do this to the skin? Do you use medication?" Of course, it also hasn't dawned upon her that Ter didn't know how to respond back to her with nothing more than just hissing. Her endless questions seemed to string right out of her like a long thread unraveling from the spool. If she only knew the frustration she'll have to face.

Girl voice? Did he know any girls? None that popped into mind but that was a good thing right? She couldn't go off bringing him back home if she didn't know where he belonged! His little arms flailed in the air as he was patted on the head, then gave a hissing sound of defeat. Was hard to fight a blurry enemy after all, how annoying and infuriating this 'shedding' stuff was.

He paused in his little angry, flailing tyraid when she spoke again, "Hiss!" He informed her trying to tell her what was wrong, "Hiiiiiiisssssssu, hisssssshiss." He then nodded before lifting a hand to scratch at his skin again suceeding in catching some of it on his fingertips and pulled it back so that a almost translucent piece came away giving him half his vision back.

The piece was tossed aside and he looked up at her with one, curious yellow eye, "Hiss?" So this was who he was talking too.

Vivina giggled as the boy flailed about. He did seem cute after looking at hom for a while, despite the patches of skin that was peeling. Vivina blinked as the boy hissed back his replies. Oh dear, she didn't speak...er...snake. "Um...uh...sorry. I don't speak in hisses...right now I wish I did." She frowned and sat down wondering what he could be saying. She then saw Ter peeling away some skin, revealing a more vibrant and shiny layer of skin underneath the dull, peeling skin.

"Eep...shedding skin? I've heard of shedding fur but...ohh! I can see your eye now! Can you see better now?" She looked from the piece of skin that was tossed aside to the fresh layer of skin and back. How amusing. She's never seen this before. Well there you go, another new experience to remember. "Hrm...is there anyway I can help to make this shedding easier? Just nod of shake your head since I probably won't know what you're saying through the hissing."

Vivina guessed that she'd have to make Ter use some sort of body or sign language or something to be able to understand what he was saying. It was a good idea, but she wondered if he'd understand her if she tried explaining it to him. In fact, she wondered how she'd be able to learn his name this way. Oh my. Another thing she forgot. An introduction. She was really horrible at first impressions and greetings.

Ter tilted his head, then thought harder on it. It wasn't as if he'd not been listening to a lot of people talking around him so one would think that he might be able to do it if he put his mind to it. So he concentrated, opened his mouth and, "Hisssu!" He then blinked, well now that didn't seem to work out any now did it? He grummbled to hismself, the end of his tail twitching a little bit.

He listened to her closely, understanding some of what she said, ahh. She knew that he was shedding huh? There was a word that he knew and didn't like at all. Snakes got the worst of it there. Shedding, feh.

He shook his head when she asked if there were anything she could do, according to Red he had to wait it out and the skin would come off. He said snakes rubbed up against things but he didn't feel like doing that, though...

Terpsichore held his hands out, making grabby motions at Vivina's hand.

Vivina giggled at Ter's attempt to speak. He was still young so she shouldn't be surprised that he couldn't talk normally. Even she was babbling nonsense when she was younger. She'd say gurgerithles when she wanted attention, squeenee when she wanted food, and nyugah when she wanted to play. She shuddered at the thoughts and focused back on Ter.

Vivina frowned when she found out she couldn't do anything to help. Maybe she could scratched him in places where he couldn't reach if he got itchy, but it didn't seem he was itchy at all. Sighing, she thought of other things she could do and what she could have been doing if she hadn't walked in the room.

Her attention once again snapped back to Ter as he made gestures showing that he wanted her hand for something. Blinking, she hesitantly gave him her right hand, confused at the small boy's actions. Note to self: learn more about the behaviors of younger kids before interacting with them.

Ter gave a hiss as he took the hand and held it up with both of his before he started to rub his head against it, at first it seemed as if nothing were going to come of it... then it some of the dry, loose skin started to come free. Ahh! This was working! Excellent! His tail swished back and forth in a pleased sort of way as he continued doing it as long as the other child was going to let him get away with it.

The longer the better as he would be able to get more of this annoying stuff off of him, maybe even get his other eye free?

Vivina blinked and her hand twitched a bit as Ter started to rub his head against her hand. She tilted her head in confusion, but as some skin came off against her hand, she realized that Ter really wanted the skin to come off. Smiling, she sat there letting him to his work. She giggled now and then as the rubbing tickled. "Ooh, I remember now! Snakes usually rub against objects such as rocks while shedding to make it easier for the old skin to come off. Hehe, I guess I'm that object then." Giggling, she lost herself in her own thoughts, thinking of her next fencing class and other adventures that await her.

However, the thinking didn't last long. Her hand began to feel numb and she had to pull her hand away, but not before offering her other hand. "Eh, sorry. My hand was getting tired and numb."
