Usufii's jaw popped as he yawned. It was getting late and the grey wolf was tired to get up and well....get up. He was tired. Lately he has been. Ever since he met Sesere and Tajwar, the young wolf has met so many animals; all of whom varying from the last.
"G----od" he cried out, laying sprawled on the rock adjacent to the main watering hole of the Pride Lands. The wolf's tongue lolled out from his maw as he stared into the endless night sky. What was he going to meet next? A hyena? A lion? Maybe another maned wolf. Who knows?
A soft, warm breeze flowed around him, it was the Acacia Tree. Usu closed his eyes and then sneezed. Not now..... he whined to himself. I don't want to go back, not yet. I'll just hang out here for a little while longer. Usufii threw his paw over his muzzle and closed his eyes with another wide mouth yawn.

Saa starred up at the sky, eyes unblinking. She wondered what she had done to displease the gods. She had not been able to catch prey for a whole afternoon. Her stomach rumbled hard as she began to walk. The stars in the sky never took shape to her even if she watched for hours. Her eyes stayed towards the sky while she brought her head down. It was odd for her to venture far but her walking cleared her mind. Maw slightly agape she scratched at her bright muzzle with a paw. It was quite a breezy night and her nose seemed to not like Dust.
A scent.
Another thing her nose could have done without. Saa realized that it could have been another wolf. Tucking her plume between her legs she crouched down and slowly walk toward it.

Usu's nose twitched. A scent. His nose twitched again. The wolf growled slightly. It was a scent of another and the curiosity of it was getting to him. However his body refused to let him up nor did he want to in truth.
Usu let out a bark and rolled onto his side, starring at the moonlit water surface. Wonder who's sent this belonged to, and where was it going?
Maybe a little influence. Usu took in a deep breath and unleased a loud howl shattering the night sky's silence. Hopefully this will be an intresting encounter.

Saa coughed lightly as she continued slowly towards the others scent. She hoped that she wasn't interupting said ones sleep. Her coat was barely muted even in the moonlight. It seemed to glow brighter. Her paws stayed light and her steps were calculated until she heard a howl break the silence. Saa crumbled in on herself when she heard it. This wolf was wither angry or annoyed. Whimpered lightly she barked a response. "I don't mean any harm." The gods must truely hated me to make me cower this way.

A call returned as a reply to his howl. It was asking for peace. Strange, did he come off as harmful?
Usu raised his head and replied, "Who's there? There's no harm here come on over." he shouted back that even made the water ripple slightly. By the sound of the voice it was a female. Wonder what species she was. Thoughts of a young wolf invaded his minds, but were easily shook off.
Wonder who she is?

Saa wondered if it was a trick. The female wolf walked slowly towards his voice. She brought herself until he spotted the branches of an acacia tree. Her body was numb as she scanned the horizon. The tree grew larger and fuller as she came to it. Saa lowered her head when she spotted the male. She had been taught to not address a male until he told you to. Her tail stayed tucked between her legs as her ears twitched.

Usu's eyes grew wide at the female. She was wonderfully colored. Her fur was a soft, toxic green with silver makrings. Usu never seen her before.
"Who are you?" he asked with a c**k brow. Another breeze from his Acacia Tree was calling him again, but he disregarded. The watering hole and the Acacia Tree he called him was very far and he wasn't really willing to walk back. However, this female was intresting.
"Why are you up so late?"

Saa whined softly when he eyes grew wide. Her coat had always been a cause for alarm to others and normally detered her from meeting others. "Saa'tayari Sir..." Her voice was soft but strong. She hadn't been around a male inquite sometime and it was odd to be submissive but it was what she had to be. "I'm normally up this late Sir." Maybe the gods weren't punishing her after all.

"Sir? What's with the 'sir'?" the male wolf asked. It wasn't everyday when someone called him sir, why, he almost never heard the word. "So Saa'tayari's your name." he laughed a little. "Sorry, I forgot to give my name first. Name's Usufii." he smiled
"So why are you up so late so often? It's not good for one's body to alter their sleeping patterns often."

Saa lifted her head slowly at his question. She always called males 'sir'. it's what she had been taught. "I'm sorry Usufiri sir and yes that is my name." She lowered her head quickly after she spoke. 'I am out collecting for the gods. They will be angry if I do not sir..."

Usu cocked brow, he still called him 'sir'. It was strange, but what she said was stranger.
"...Collecting for the....gods? Why do they need you to collect for them?" he asked. It was strange for an animal to do a god's work, especially if they are capable of doing it themselves. WHo exactly was this maned wolf?
"What are you collecting, mind me asking."

Saa's eyes went wide when he questioned her. He didn't know the protection that the gods sheltered over her in her times of need. Usu didn't see the fate of those who didn't honor the gods. "I must honor them or they will take away my food. They are my anchors in life and will protect me from so long as I leave them offerings in the day and the night." She lifted her head slowly and weakly smiled. "It does not matter. The gods that watch over me have no specific preferences. Whatever I may find I give to them."

Usu smiled and rolled onto his left side, revealing the mark on his right. THe mark was tribal, been there since birth. THe smooth curves with no lines that really go straight.
"Well, you see this? This is what the gods said, they said I would live a really good life." he smiled, usually this darn thing brings bad things onto the wolf, never imagined talking good about it. "Yeah, it hasn't bee working for me at all. Not all gods are like others. THey don't have prefrences." he smiled weakly.
THe mark he had was to bring him good fortune and a pospurous life, lately it hasn't done any of that. Why, it's pretty much done the opposite.

Saa looked fondly at his mark. He wasn't the one she was looking for but he could have been of use later on. "A mark? You were born with it yes?" Her yellow eyes scanned the other wolf quickly before she lowered her head again. "It works very well for me. They keep me safe." It was hard to believe her considering her thin body and less than healthy state of mind.
"It will bring you good luck I'm sure."

Sure....luck, like that'd every happen... he smirked. "Yeah, I was born with his thing. It was a pack thing." he huntched his shoulder for a better view. Honestly, the only times he has ever seen it clearly was off the surface of steady water.
"For such a believer in these gods who are said to protect you, you don't look like your in good health."
