I have a question about the new movie...
What was that giant monster thing they fought, the one Hidage summoned?

It was a Bahamut. I think it was Bahamut Sin or Bahamut Zero, I'm not sre what they call it nowadays.

Sin. It's a new Bahamut, he's never been used before! Which is what makes his design so freaking cool!

Indeed! Indeed! If you've got the movie, with the 2 disc set, put the second disc in and watch the making of the movie stuff. It explains Sin.

Hell, I just guessed it was Bahamut the first time I saw it, cause it was so big, so dragonlike, and was in FF7. Cause that's how my mind works.

It was Bahamut Shin, the 'shin' meaning 'Earth.' It has also been written as Bahamut Sin, but that could be due to a difference in romanization.
On another note, the name of the character who summoned Bahamut was named Kadaj, not Hidage.
