My best friend has been missing for 4 days now. And I mean literally, missing, no ne has heard from her or seen her, not work, friends, family school.
She lives in another state or I would've filed a missing person's report myself. Because her family isn't planning to.
No one but me seems to be worried that she getting a divorce from her abusive husband, filed a restraining order against him, he's contesting the divorced, and she magically disappears.
Maybe I'm being overly worried. But when both her parents and her younger sister all call me in a panic trying to see if maybe she's contacted me over the past few days, I think that warrants being worried.
I've been calling her cell phone but it only rings once then goes to voicemail. Her roomates don't know where she is either. She just disappeared. She's been so depressed lately and calls me when she needs to talk. She called me while she was filing the restraining order just so someone was there for her.
Her husband has a horrible temper and is very abusive physically and emotionally. Not to mention he's being accused of watching child porn on the internet.
I wouldn't put it past him to do something to her. But I don't know what to do and I'm so worried.
I don't think I'm really looking for advice....I don't know what I'm looking for, I'm just worried and want support I suppose.....I don't know.....

*hugs* Hon, you can and should file a missing persons report. Keep making a royal pest of yourself til someone listens. Find out if there are any shelters for battered and abused women around where she may have gone. The big thing is to get a hold of the authorities and get someone looking for her. It sounds to me like you're the only one taking this situation seriously enough.

She finally called me last night around 2am.
She's been hiding at a friends' house to stay away from her soon to be ex. Apparenly his threats are getting more disturbing and ar enow coming rom his family as well, so they came over to her apartment extrememly late one night and packed her and her stuff up and got her out of there.
She has a court date set up to finalize the restraining order and to set the divorce in motion. But she's hiding until then.
Thanks for the support. Sorry for the "over-worried"ness.
We're planning on getting her out of state until the ivorce is finalized, so as soon as the money is scraped together she'll be living with us for a bit. Hopefully, if it all works the way its supposed to.
