About Lyra

Alright, I've decided that this is going to be done in Q&A form, just so you can really get a feel of everything.

Jayde: Alright, first question...

Lyra: Why are we doing this?

Jayde: So everyone can get to know you.

Lyra: And?

Jayde: Just answer my questions. >.<

Lyra: Fine. Ask your damn questions.

Jayde: Ok, first question. How old are you?

Lyra: 227.

Jayde: o.0 Really?

Lyra: Is there a problem?

Jayde: Er, no...*ahem* next question. What did you used to look like before you went elder?

Lyra: I'm a constalation kath.

Jayde: Wait, you still are? But I haven't seen your star markings since you changed.

Lyra: I guess I can show you if you want.

Jayde: Where is it?

Lyra: **whisper whisper whisper**

Jayde: o.0 Alright, next question. What are your favorite things?

Lyra: Sunbathing, and being left the hell alone.

Jayde: Do you like kids?

Lyra: Of course not.

Jayde: But they follow you around everywhere.

Lyra: So?

Jayde: And you let them.

Lyra: ...and?

Jayde: And they tug on your ears. And play around your feet. And ask you all sorts of questions that you try so hard to answer. And they do all this stuff and you don't send them away?

Lyra: scream next question!

Jayde: Well, no need to get huffy about it. rolleyes So, how long have you been a part of the family?

Lyra: ...?

Jayde: stare When did you get here?

Lyra: It was when you first got the job at Critter Haven. I knew that you needed some serious help with that fu--

Jayde: **glare of doom**

Lyra: **clears throat** Freaking hoard of yours, not to mention you're psychologically imbalanced.

Jayde: I'm not crazy! STFU! And furthermore, why would you offer to help me with my hoard if you didn't like kids?

Lyra: ...>.< Damnit

Jayde: And the way I remember it, you followed me home and started mooching off me.

Lyra: Of course not!

Jayde: No, I think that's what happened.

Lyra: No, you definitley asked me for help.

Jayde: stare

Lyra: Seriously.

Jayde: Right then. Well, I guess that's it. This is Jayde, reporting from the treehouse, over and out!

Lyra: ...

Jayde: ...

Lyra: Jayde, cut off the damn camera.

About Alto

Jayde: Alright, so Alto, when did you come to live with this family?

Alto: I guess my old old owner fell off the face of Gaia, and Kylin gave me permission to go home with you.

Jayde: For christmas. Awww, it was so sweet!

Alto: I...suppose so.

Jayde: **glee**

Alto: Er, you had more questions?

Jayde: Oh, yeah, that's right. Ummmm, so what are some of the things that you like to do?

Alto: I read a lot, and I like to watch old moves.

Lyra: **mocking** And I like to take long walks on the beach, gazing at the stars and thinking of the girl just for meeee

Jayde: Lyra, what are you doing here? This is Alto's interview!

Lyra: Just telling things the way they are! Hell, he's never even had a girlfriend.

Alto: stare Well, that also means that mine didn't quit talking to me and leave me for someone else **innocent look**

Lyra: What was that, kitten?!

Alto: I'm just telling thins the way they are!

Jayde: **shoving Lyra out from in front of the camera** Moving right along, Alto, do you like kids?

Alto: They're alright, I suppose. I prefer older people that I can have a conversation with, but I do like the boundless optimism and hope that children have.

Jayde:**getting all moony again** so sweet!

Alto: Jayde. Questions.

Jayde: Oh, right. So, what do you generally do around the house?

Alto: sweatdrop Mostly sit in the living room, making sure that Damen and Lyra don't destroy anything.

Jayde: You keep them from fighting?

Alto: No, they're fighting is fine. I just don't want them to break any of the furniture. 3nodding

Jayde: sweatdrop Right then. I think that's it though. :3 This is Jayde reporting, over and out!

About Jayde

Lyra: twisted

Jayde: Lyra, what are you doing with my camera?

Lyra: It's your turn for an interview!

Jayde: *deadpan stare* You are going to give me an interivew.

Alto: Not with out me here supervising. I'll try and keep him from doing something stupid, but well...no promises.

Lyra: What the hell is that supposed to mean?

Alto:I can only do so much from here. I don't have opposable thumbs, so I can't hold the camera, and it is really difficult to keep you from doing something stupid.

Jayde: XD You guys had questions for me?

Lyra: Yes! So, Jayde, when did you get here on the island?

Jayde: I...don't know, really. When I washed up on the shores of Lunis Isle, I had amnesia.

Lyra: ....

Alto: That means she can't remember.

Lyra: I knew that. *clears throat* anyway, What are some of the things that you like to do?

Jayde: *glee!* I love to read, write, draw, pretty much any kind of craft like knitting, crochet or cross stitching, and I really enjoy singing...

Lyra: rolleyes No kidding! We can't get her to stop.

Jayde: sad I'm a good singer.

Alto: We know that. *pats her on the leg with his paw* Lyra is just being himself, that's all.

Lyra: Alright, kitten, what the hell is that supposed to mean?

Alto: stare If I have to explain it, then it definitley speaks for itself.

Lyra: One more comment out of you, and I'll...

Alto: You'll what? Sic the kids on me?

Jayde: *rushing in between thim* Also one of my jobs here at the treehouse is being the peacemaker. Usually the biggest fights are between Damen and Lyra, but sometimes...

Alto: Yeah, sometimes the 'great elder kath' realizes that the truth hurts.

Lyra: Only when I finally realize just how pitiful you are. Then I crack a rib laughing.

Jayde: sweatdrop I'm also generally the mother figure to the little ones, and a sister figure to the older adoptees, and I have a 'more the merrier' attitude toward more people joining our home.

Lyra: No freaking kidding!

Alto: Oh, silence, mortal. You know if she didn't feel that way you might actually have to work.

Jayde: Well, this was supposed to be Lyra and Alto reporting...signing out!

**a loud crash sounds**

The Treehouse

{As told by a boring narrator describing the house}

Off the coast of the Isle de Gambino are a couple of islands that are generally uninhabited. They are shaped like the sun and moon, joining together to make a lagoon in the middle and are appropriately named Isle de Soler and Lunis isle.

Lunis Isle, the side closest to civilization, has on it's coast what's left of a petshop named Critter Haven. It's mostly just storage, but it is part of a small collection of shops there. Just down the beach can be found a relatively large jungle, where massive trees grow.

In the highest part of one of these trees is actually a house. It's octagon in shape with a circular window on every side, framed with green curtains that match the tree that it sits in. Leading up to it is a set of spiral stairs that circle around the trunk.

There aren't that many people on the island, so there really isn't even a door--only another green curtain to keep out any rain that might come.

When you first open the curtains to reveal the inside of the house, it is amazing how big it is on the inside. About ten feet from floor to ceiling, it's a full story high, but most of it is empty space.

On the ceilings are lazily turning fans that keep the temperature inside down dispite the heat of the island. Along the walls aren't much other than a great deal of windows--on on each side of the octagonal room, letting in a lot of light and the soft sounds of the ocean crashing on the sand.

almost directly in front of the door is a large pile of pillows that serves as a living room/entertaining area. Along the walls to the left and right are small bamboo book cases.

If you walk past the pillows and around the pillar is the kitchen, separated from the rest of the room by islands that food can be set on. It's a modest kitchen, with little more than a stove, an oven, and a refrigorator, although it serves its purpouse well enough since a great deal of the inhabitants of the hosue hunt for their meals.

Continuing around the trunk of the tree is what serves as the dining room. And by that I mean a table and four chairs. Jayde always says that she's going to get something bigger, but no one really eats at the table anyway, so she keeps putting it off.

You could continue to talk around the house, but that would just lead you back around to the doorway, and I'm sure no one wants to read this whole thing again.
(this might be replaced with something more interesting later)

As told by Jayde
5.27.2006
From Anastasia & Fantasia's house

I've been over at the twins' house for a little over a week now and I'm starting to feel like my old self again. The security in knowing that he doesn't know I'm here rejuvinates my senses and allows me to relax...at leat a little.

And the twins are wonderful, of course. It takes a little getting used to at first, their being psychic, but on a light note, I never have to ask for anything. And the house is always full of music. I'm at peace here, moreso than I have been in a while.

But Lyra came by today, and said...well, better tell it from the beginning.

I was sitting in the livingroom, pretending that I could play the piano, when Anastasia opened the front door, revealing Lyra, ready to knock. To his credit, he only blinked a couple of times before greeting her and coming in.

"I've got news," he said gravely as he approached me, having a seat on one of the fluffy, overstuffed chairs in front of the piano.

"New of...?" I asked, my fingers hovering over the keys. Anastasia excused herself--probably to go and tell her sister the news. She probably knew already anyway.

"Kylin...disposed of the nusance."

"He...he's gone?" It seemed almost to good to be real, but I couldn't keep my heart from dancing and my face from lighting up. "He's gone..." I repeated. It seemed like I couldn't say it enough. Lyra had a funny look on his face by this point, though, so (a bit hesitantly) I inquired about it.

"Er, it seems during the scuffle, Ky felt the urge to add another door to the house. A rather large one." sweatdrop

"There's a hole in the house?!" Another door, indeed. Did he think I was some sort of...well, nevermind. I know the answer to that question. I turned more fully to face him, and we discussed the damages.

"Well," I said, after getting over the shock of things, "I suppose between you and Damen it can be fixed in a little while." The kath looked thrilled, as he always did when we discussed work, but he was more serious about the situation now than he had been before.

Well, I told myself, he didn't really think there was a 'situation' before. He just thought you'd lost your mind.

"I think that perhaps, during it's repair, you should continue to stay with us." Lyra and I both turned at the melodic tones of Anastasia's voice. She and her sister were standing in that funny way again; shoulder to shoulder, and it was making it difficult to tell them apart. I dont' suppose it matters, really.

"Ky has offered--" Lyra began, but the older of the two shook her head.

"It is best," they said together. He looked like he was about to argue, but he stopped. It seems that he, too, realized that sometimes (actually, quite often) they knew things that the rest of us didn't. So he shrugged.

"Well, in other news, Aiko is back on the mainland."

"Aiko?! She's been gone for so long! Where has she been? Why didn't she tell anyone where she went? Is she alright? Is she back home? How is the shop? Have you seen her?" A few more questions rattled off before Lyra, who was doing his excellent impression of a deer in the headlights, interrupted me.

"Yes, I've seen her. I..spent some time with her yesterday."

"Ahhhh," I said, raising an eyebrow at him. "Now I know where you've been." He gave me another funny look, but continued to speak.

"I had a question," he said, a little softer this time. I tried to look open to anything he had questions about, but honestly, I was a little concerned.

"I mean, we were...what's the word? Kissing? And everything was fine, and then suddenly it felt like my pants were too small."

o.0

That about sums up my reaction. Of course, I blushed to high heavens and stammered out, "W-what?!" He looked a little offended at that.

"You're a human! Don't you have that problem?"

"N-no!!" I looked half desperately, half mortified for Anastasia and Fantasia, but it seemed they had long since made their retreat.

"G-go talk to Damen!" I finally managed. The kath, apparently puzzled at my reaction, shrugged and stood.

"Well, I guess I'll just tell her you said hi and asked about her," he said, leaving.

"You do that," I replied weakly. "Nice to...see you..." He waved nonchalauntly and walked out the door, closing it with a loud snap behind him.

Oh. My. God. I'm still a little in shock, hours later. At the time, though, I just lay my head on the piano, trying to take it all in.

It kind of figures that he doesn't know anything about...well, you know. I mean, The way kaths do it just involves their fur; nothing like the way people do it. I guess since he grew into an elder, he's been more human than we thought.

I wonder how his little talk with Damen went?

As told by Lyra
5.27.2006 (later on that day)
From the treehouse

I went to go see Jayde earlier today. She seemed to be feeling better, although she did some of the strangest things. I don't know why I'm surprised anymore. ::sighs:: All I did was ask her about this funny thing my pants have been doing, and the damn woman flips out. I thought she'd blushed so brightly she'd pass out from blood loss--it was all in her face.

So she'd managed to stutter out, "Go talk to Damen!" This would be exciting. I made the trek back to the treehouse in silence, which may or may not have been due to the fact that I was by myself. By the time I had arrived, I had a pretty good plan about what I was going to say. Hell, I didn't even have to go that far to talk to him. He was sitting out on the porch, dangling his feet over the edge of the roof, laying back looking at the sky. Probably figuring out which one of his girlfriends he was going to see tonight. Ugh.

"So," he said as I approached, "you banged her yet?"

At that, I almost crash landed on the roof. I barely saved myself, but I still did this strange hop thing as my wings dissappeared back into my back.

"What kind of a monster do you think I am?!" I bellowed. "She just got back from a war man! I would never hit her; especially not now!" It was then that he opened his eyes and looked up at me with a rather incredulous look on his face.

"C'mon man, you know what I mean."

"No," I replied flatly. "I'm not sure what you mean." He rolled his eyes at me, that stupid gesture I hate so much, especially from him. My hands clenched together but he started rambling off nonsensical phrases to distract me.

"Yano, the horizontal tango, the midnight fandango, gettin' jiggy with it," he continued for a moment, but I think the completely confused look that I couldn't keep from crossing my face stopped him.

"MATING, Lyra, come on!" he finished, sitting up to stare directly at me.

"You're finally making sense, bounty hunter," I growled. "I don't know what all that other crap is, but I'm no kitten. I know what mating is." So I explained mating to him. And to think, Jayde thought he would be teaching me something! But it seemed like the longer I went on, the less it made sense.

"That's...er...not how people do it," he said, a suspicious grin spreading on his face. I stared at him, not sure what to think.

"Well, then how do people do it?" I asked sarcastically. What other way was there to do it? He indicated for me to lean down, so I did, and he whispered in my ear what he thought was necissary.

"Well, first you whisper whisper whisper." I jerked my head back, giving him a disbelieving look.

"You're kidding," I said, not sure he was telling me the truth. But Damen raised his hands in a defensive manner, assuring me it was the truth.

"That's not it, though," he said, drawing my head back down. "Then guys whisper whisper whisper and put it whisper whisper whisper."

It was then that I stood upright, pulling away from him completely.

"That's discusting!" I made a face as he started laughing. "I don't know what you think is so funny about that...that...but that's discusting! I don't know how your species survives!" I all but jumped off the roof and landed on the deck, where Alto was sunbathing.

"Was Amaryllis trying to cook again?" he asked, inquiring about my bellowing 'discusting!' Well, I'd show him.

"You'll never guess..." So I repeated what Damen had said.

"Surely," he said, looking up at me with eyebrows narrowed, "you jest?"

"I'm not kidding!"

"...that's discusting." For once, we agreed. Giving a simultaneous shudder, we silently agreed never to discuss it again.

Ugh.

People.

Technically, this should have been the first entry, but just in case anyone was wondering what happened when Aiko saw Lyra again after having not spoken to him in six months...well, here it is :3

Tenoh Aiko
(( ArPee. 3nodding ))

I can't do this, I can't do this...

Aiko paced back and forth in front of the shop, the Critter Haven shop she hand't seen in almost six months. Almost half a year. How would she just walk back in? Surely Lyra wouldn't be very happy with her -- she knew him well enough to at least know that. Jayde would probably fawn over her, mouth working a mile a minute, asking her where she was and what she was doing.

'Oh, well, I was in Japan killing dog demons, fighting a war for my father's clan that hates and despises me!'

No, that wouldn't work...

Even worse, what if Jayde wasn't the one there? What if it was just Lyra? And what if he was alone?

She felt sick enough to throw up.

Running her hands over her sweater, she stared at her clothed arms. It was unusual for someone to be wearing long sleeves in the summer, especially someone like Aiko who was known for wearing tube tops and the like all year around. She'd been wearing one of her said tube tops underneath, but out of a sudden fit of self consciousness, she threw on one of Nigel's black sweaters. She didn't want anyone to see the scars she'd gotten in the war.

Taking a deep breath, she puffed out her chest, deciding it was going to either be now or never.

And she stepped foot into the ship

That's it. Just one. And she froze.

Lyra Fammrihk
Damnit. It was like since Jayde had been gone, there had been even more work to do than usual. She always picked the best time to loose her marbles. But this time...She didnt' loose her marbles. She was really in danger, and you ignored her...

Lyra shook his head as he continued to clean the counter. Damn pets were such a mess.

It was then that the bell chimed someone's entry. He was about to look up and begin his sullen welcome again when he actually looked up to see who it was.

When he did, the words died on his tongue.

It was...Aiko.

She was somehow different, though, he thought as he stood staring at her, frozen mid-wipe of the counter. She was dressed unseasonably, and standing like a frightened doe. And she hadn't run in, she'd...only taken one step.

Like she was afraid. His eyebrows twitched for a moment at that thought, but he said nothing, only nodded, attempting to continue his work. She was probably here for another pet, anyway.

Not for him.

Tenoh Aiko
So it was just Lyra there.

One side of her lept for joy. The man she'd been dreaming of since she'd been held prisoner to fight in a war she had nothing to do with was standing here in front of her. It was almost like idol worship.

But the other side of her evaluated his expression carefully. He most deffinitely didn't look happy. Of course he wouldn't, she scolded herself. You left so suddenly, without any warning, without telling where you were going. Of course he wouldn't be very happy.

But how I've dreamed of this moment.

Of course, when she dreamed of this moment, he ran to scoop her up in his arms and hold her tightly, never to let go.

Damn reality.

Slowly and carefully, she started crossing the shop floor to stand in front of him. Heart in her throat (which she tried profusely to gulp down), she tried to make eyecontact with him again.

"L-Lyra?"

Lyra Fammrihk
He tried not to watch her as she approached, tried not to listen to the slight trimble in her voice when she spoke. This wasn't happening, she wasn't here.

Damnit, he thought, I tried so hard to forget you...

But that one little voice inside his head kept saying, It didnt' work very well, did it? He told that voice to shut the hell up as he wiped the counter more vigerously.

"Aiko." He had to clear his throat after he said her name. It had been so long since he'd spoken it aloud.

Only in my mind, asking you where you've been, begging you to come back to me...

Tenoh Aiko
Her heart was doing back flips as she heard his voice. It was better than she remembered it, better than she'd dreamed.

"Lyra..." she breathed his name again, trying not to let herself choke and burst into tears. It felt so wonderful to say it with him standing right in front of her.

But she wanted to feel him. Even if he just touched her shoulder or her forarm... her body ached for it.

"Lyra, please look at me." Her voice trembeled and she held her hand out toward him slowly.

Lyra Fammrihk
His name brushed over her lips, hardly a whisper. He knew that it was tearing her apart; his sensitive ears could hear that, even if the part of him that was male didn't want to.Why? Why, after all this time, would it matter so much that one solitary Kath wouldn't meet her eyes?

"I can't," Lyra finally said, not even pretending to work anymore. His hand clenched around the cloth as his eyes were drawn, as if by a magnet, to the tiny hand reached out towards him. "I'm afraid that if I try to see you, you'll turn to smoke and drift away, like just another dream..."

Tenoh Aiko
Here, she brought back her hand, almost as if trying to draw his gaze to her. Her tiny hands clasped themselves as she held them against her chest.

"And I'm afraid if you don't look at me, that you'll be just another one of my own dreams."

Her voice was still hardly above a whisper.

Lyra Fammrihk
As if by it's own will, one of Lyra's hands moved forward as if to catch her retreating one. But right at the edge of the counter that separated them, he stopped it, and it curled into a fist.

His eyes were a different matter. He couldn't shake them from the path which they were following, back to her with her hand, and then up to her hunched shoulders, the soft skin of her neck, and her face...Gods, her beautiful face. It's perfect features were drawn with an emotion he was hesitant to name, and her skin was pale.

And he just kept asking himself, "Why?"

s**t. It'd just slipped. In his irritation with himself, he stood back up, taking his hands back and flinging the rag to the ground in discust.

And he couldn't keep his eyes off her for long.

"Why?" he asked again, softer this time. Where were you? Why didn't you tell me where you were going? Why were you gone so long?

Why did you leave me?

Tenoh Aiko
He was looking at her. It was more than any of the dream Lyras had done. In... a way.

She jumped lightly as he threw the rag and pinched her lips together, holding her arms tighter against herself.

And the simple question slipped from his lips, the question he had the right to know the answer to. She clammed up for a moment, searching for the right way to answer.

"To protect you and my family... I had to go."

Lyra Fammrihk
"To protect your family, I can understand," Lyra said slowly, the wheels in his mind turning. "The children...I know you would never let anything happen to them."

He thought of Corli then, about how feircly protective of the little demon he'd become. Yes, he understood her looking after her family. As he continued, his voice seemed to harden, but become brittle at the same time, slightly breaking here and there with the strain of it all.

"But you have so little faith in me?" he continued softly. "You think that I would not, could not, help you?" As his eyes kept her gaze, they broke only for a moment, a hurt expression flooding them before they went blank again.

"It seems like the only person I can't protect myself from...is you."

Tenoh Aiko
She gazed at him for a long while, looking just as hurt and heartbroken. She had no clue what to say that would make the situation better.

Soon, she decided that nothing could possibly make the situation any better.

"No, it wasn't that. You're so strong, but there was nothing you could have done... Lyra, please understand..." She broke eye contact and looked down at his hands, then slowly, hesitantly, she started taking off the sweater she wore, revealing that she was, indeed, wearing her favorite purple top underneith.

Her once perfect, flawless skin was matted with scars. Claws, fangs, maybe even poisons could only have caused such things. She looked as if she'd gone to hell and back. Perhaps the only peaceful thing about her body was the necklace -- the pearl and seashell necklace he made -- rested around her neck.

And she couldn't look him again in the eye. I'm hideous...

"... I had to hurt you to save you..."

Lyra Fammrihk
Lyra's first reaction was, why the hell is she taking her clothes off?! because all he saw was her removing the bulky black sweater. It wasn't until a split second afterwards that he noticed...why.

He couldn't move, he couldn't breathe. It was as if the world stood still as she revealed what the past six months had done to her. Nausia rose up within him, not at the sight, but at the thought.

What had happened to her? What kind of hell had she been through? And that one, unforgettable, undeniable question--why? So many mixed emotions flooded Lyra that he could barely think. He wasn't quite sure if he'd gone over, around, or through the counter, but he...he had to get to her.

The words she spoke blurred into nothingness, it didnt' matter. For over all of the pain, all of the scars and old wounds, and new wounds even, was a pearl necklace with a single seashell in the middle.

The necklace he had left at her doorstep. His heart lurched sideways painfully as trembling hands reached for her, tracing gently one of the worst scars on her stomach that led up, and ended by her collar bone, where the necklace lay. Words excaped him, but when he looked up, all defences were gone. He was sure that she could clearly see the battle as ferocious as the one she must have gone through going within himself; the almost undeniable need to hold her versus the fear of her leaving again.

"Aiko..." he rasped.

Tenoh Aiko
He was touching her...

Oh god, he was touching her...

That's when the dam broke. She choked, she sputtered, she tried not to cry, but she failed. Her body remained ridged still as she sobbed, and she still couln't look at him.

"My father's cat demon clan sent me an ultimatum," she choked out between sobs. "They told me to come back to Japan or you and my family would be killed. I got there to find out that a war had sprung up between the Dog and Cat clans, and they were desperate to find new bodies to throw into the field; so desperate that they would reach out for the hanyou that they hated and despised. I was the last to arrive and the only half blood to survive." Here, she grabbed his hand and clutched it tightly, setting it on her cheek and closing her eyes. "I thought of my family almost every waking moment of my every waking day, dreamed about them almost every night. And when I wasn't thinking and dreaming about them..." She opened her eyes again and looked straight into his, doe brown eyes sparkling with tears...

And untold love.

"I was thinking and dreaming about you, Lyra."

Lyra Fammrihk
Her tale of horror washed over him and his insides clenched with fury and sadness at the same time. He thought of the battlefield, fighting a war and leaving the front to fight another. What kind of madness must it have been?

And then the tears. His hand shook even as she pressed her face against it, and his chest physically ached more with each tear that fell.

"Oh, Aiko..." Although he knew he should say something more than her name, over and over, Lyra couldn't for the life of him think of something to say.

I'm sorry just didn't seem to quite cut it. But when those eyes, sparkling, turned up to him brimming with thoughts and emotions he was afraid he'd never understand, something inside whispered, telling him what to do.

Lyra moved the hand from her face around her shoulders, and his free arm to her waist, pulling the hanyou up against him with almost a rough movement, as if he could sheild her from the memories and the pain, as if by holding her close he could make all her troubles go away. God, he wished he could.

"It's ok..." he muttered against her hair, knowing that it wasn't enough. Fleetingly, he remembered a gesture she'd taught him back at her own shop, and pressed a firm kiss on the top of her head.

"Everything's alright now..."

Tenoh Aiko
She gasped lightly at his sudden movements, her cheeks turning a shade of rosy pink as she suddenly realized that he, the real, not dream Lyra, was holding her against him. Her heart stopped, then skipped a few beats, and she was afraid of her knees giving away to let her collapse.

Her arms wrapped tightly around his middle, her face rubbing against his chest. So warm, so strong... She never wanted the embrace to end.

His words echoed in her mind, and her head tingled where his lips had pressed. The tingling sensation was one she remembered, after she'd woken up from one of her dreams she swore she tingled where he had touched her... but this was so much better.

Unable to help herself, she clung to him tighter and nodded her head, closing her eyes as she tried to controll her sobbing.

"Lyra... Lyra, Lyra, Lyra..." His name became her mantra, as it had in her dreams.

Only this wasn't a dream. She wasn't going to wake back up in a lonly hut, sleeping on animal furs.

This was real.

Lyra Fammrihk
It was a strange feeling, having her up against him. It wasn't bad; far from it. But it made Lyra feel strange, almost like he was going to explode or be sick if he didn't do something. Right then.

That little voice in his head whispered to him again, and the kath got the sneaking suspicion that it wasn't his brain. But it was the only part of him that had any idea at all what to do, so what was he to do other than listen?

That, and it seemed to have some pretty good ideas.

Carefully, and still slightly unsure of himself, Lyra removed his arms from her shoulders and gently tilted her chin up to where he could look into her face. Her face was still too pale, and was streaked with tears, but there was no longer the tension between them. And her lips...

Slowly he leaned closer to her, his eyes not straying from hers, guaging her reaction. What if what he was doing was wrong? What if the little voice was just the part of him that wished he knew what the hell he was doing? But it was too late to turn back; his eyes closed, and he softly pressed his lips to hers.

Tenoh Aiko
Her eyes grew round and she stopped sobbing when he tilted her chin so they were once again face to face. Was he really... doing what she thought he was doing? Something else the dream Lyra wouldn't do, even when she demanded it of him. He'd never look her in the eye, and he would never kiss her.

And now here she was, in lip lock with him.

Her eyes slipped closed as she set her hands against his chest, feeling his strong chest muscles, melting against his body.

What he was doing couldn't be more right.

Kylinari
Kylin had returned from her break. Lyra had been helping alot lately and she was debating on letting him take the rest of the evening off. He was... after all... helping for a change...

Humming to herself, she gave a smile as the building known as HQ was coming back into view.

Ah! HQ. Otherwise known as home. It felt good to be back in the normal swing of things... well... as normal as she half expected. Jayde was still in hiding, from what Ky wasn't sure of. That Tony guy was definately out of commision and there wouldn't be any more of him around here. Not without Ky showing off again.

And how did she beat the crap out of him so easilly? That fact still puzzled her. She knew she had some abilities that surpassed some humans, but... how...?!

Shrugging it off again she sighed and opened the door to HQ. That forever happy smile of herse shining as she looked briefly over the two. "Hey Lyr---..."

Wait...... were they...? Looking back, her cheeks glowed a bright shade of red as she turned quickly and waved over her shoulder. "FORGET I WAS HERE! CALL ME WHEN YOU'RE DONE!!" she giggled and quickly scurried out the front.

Once outside, she tilted her head. "Umm....That was awkward...?" she thought aloud and looked around the front of HQ for a familiar (or not so familiar) face.

Lyra Fammrihk
"s**t." Lyra muttered the obscinity after Kylin closed the door, although it was moreso because he'd been interrupted and less so because he was supposed to be embarassed. This was something new that people did, and he was pretty sure that he liked it.

...A lot. The concept of being embarrased about it was foreign, so Lyra just gave Aiko a rakish grin.

"Where were we?" he said softly, capturing her lips once more.

Tenoh Aiko
It was hard to embarass Aiko, being a creature of little or no modesty, but even she had her sensabilites. She blushed a crimson scarlet as Kylin walked in and promptly back out, looking more like a child with their hand caught in the cookie jar.

She was a little more surprised when Lyra just shrugged it off and caught her in another kiss. A moan sounded in the back of her throat, and she ended the kiss sweetly by kissing down his chin and along his jawbone. Arms snaking around his neck, she rubbed her cheek against his as she looked up into his eyes.

"Lyra, don't you think we should probably move to a place that's more... private? So that doesn't happen again." She indicated the door with her eyes.

Lyra Fammrihk
Enjoying the sight of the pink stain spreading across Aiko's face, but not sure why it was there, Lyra quirked an eyebrow at her as if to say, Why?

"It it such a bad thing?" he asked in all seriousness. He wasn't familliar with this new display of affection, and he couldn't quite understand why it was such a big deal. But he shrugged it off, doing what he normally did--which was accept what Aiko told him as truth.

"But if you want," he continued, "I know of a place down by the lagoon. It's private." Lyra winked then, as he said 'private.' With another smile, he took Aiko by the hand and walked her out the door, leading the way into the night. There, at the lagoon, they could...talk all night, and maybe into the morning.

After all, they did have six months to catch up on.
