A long time ago a bar called Tigonochi sat embedded in a thick forest, run and patroned by demons and them alone. Over time new comers became scarce and the demons there became family to each other as each seemed to have problems of their own and needed the others to cope. The owner of this bar had been Scytheress, a young fox demon at the time, but she had mysteriously disappeared and left the bar relatively defenseless. Though strong demons were still there they weren't enough to protect it.
Many, many years later Tigonochi was invaded by human demon-hunters and by then very few of the patrons remained. The small group resisted the best they could but the numbers of the enemy were too great and weapons too powerful forcing all but one demon to flee. The last one to remain was a dragon demon by the name of Baikou Kimodo; Scytheress's husband.
The dragon fought valiantly, slaying several and wounding many more, but in the end he was destroyed as well, leaving the establishment to the humans.
For three human-generations to come, Tigonochi was owned by the dragon-slayer's family until the fateful day that Scytheress reappeared. Expecting to find her friends and loved ones she was devestated by the sight of the bar with a new name and patronship. Fueled by rage, the demon slew the weaker generations of men and women inside. Finally only the dragon-slayer's descendant was left and it was from his mouth that the fox learned of Baikou's death. Unable to cope with the sudden sadness, Scytheress's tormented energy burst from her body all at once, engulfing the building in black flames.
A few days later Scytheress found a vast expanse of charred earth, blackened completely without a sign of life on it. It was where Baikou had made his last stand and taken his last breath. As the fox's tears seeped into the soil she began molding the earth, pulling stone together and melding it into a sculpture of a great dragon. The beast's features mirrored the pain Scytheress felt at her loss but it was flawless; a black dragon crying out to the sky as it stood braced on a pedestal with its large wings fanned out.
There was a recess in the ground in front of the stone that led to a heavy-door below the ground. Through the entrance was a straight twenty-foot drop into absolute darkness. If lit one would see the large lobby-room and the halls opening from eight different directions. Scytheress had created each hall and room as she walked aimlessly underground and, before she realized it, had made a vast catacombs worthy of scripture. No one, save herself, would ever be able to get out as the walls were laced with her energy and her runes on every surface.
In the darkest part, farthest from the entrance, Scytheress left a scroll. On the parchment was an incantation to free her souls from her body and send her on to the after-life as should have happened over 100 years previous. The scroll was placed in a glass box, rolled up and sealed with a talisman that Scytheress had received with the scroll from a mage. The only thing that had stopped her from using the scroll was that it had to be invoked by someone else. Then, after inserting the box in a cavity in the back wall she left and upon reaching the entrance once more the entire labyrinth shook. She had triggered every trap and offset the structure of the maze so that too much activity would collapse the whole thing and anyone who attempted to figure out the maze would be brutally murdered by some mechanism of defense.
Now, almost 1000 years later, Baikou's Tomb has been rediscovered by treasure hunters who are searching for the priceless jewels and wealth Baikou and Scytheress had had together, unknowing of the only spell capable of killing the fox demon was within as well.
This thread is for treasure hunters and adventure seekers or individuals that under take Rian Quests involving the thread. Feel free to try and recover valuables from the depths but take into account the complexity of the maze and the dangers it holds. There is -no magic- here. You have to get by using only your own strength and wits. Best of luck!

Whatever portal had formed promptly shut and disappeared. No magicks worked in this sacred place...
From deep within the bowls of the tomb a dark energy began to stir. Someone had entered the hollow grounds where laid the valiant dragon in his eternal rest and disturbed his single guardian. Runes lining every wall and ceiling began to glow and flare in rhythm as the creature in the depths moved and slowly the form of a woman was revealed. She was lean and dirty but elegant and powerful, covered in dust and grime from her years of sitting stationary. A top the figures head were two red ears and from her hind side swayed a like-colored tail; a fox demon of sorts. Anyone paying attention to the inscriptions along the walls would have known about Scytheress, her grim story and the darker fate that awaited any who stepped foot within this burial place. The woman's lips barely moved but down every corridor rushed her lush voice.
"Those who have foolishly entered my world, will never see the light of day in this realm again. Any last words? Do you want to plea for your life?"
Slowly, Scytheress began to stretch and crack her limbs and joints, preparing to seek out the sorry saps that had dared enter without her permission.

Fujima stepped out of the portal."Whoa.... it is a labyrinth... I hope I don't get lost... I sensed danger....." Fujima took one step. "Oh darn, I wish I could have went to the bathroom first."*** Before Fujima could even take another step, he felt like something was coming his way. Something big and feisty. He saw something in the shadows, but it was too hard to see. It looked like some kind of big creature. Then it reached out its arms and grabbed Fujima. Before Fujima could even say anything, the creature devoured him whole. Leaving nothing but blood.

*the portal closes* no no NO! No wonder my ancestors said this was a one shot chance, guess we have to sue the OTHER one. Autumn, follow me *runs up some steps leading to the center of the Labyrinth* mumbles to Autumn* Do EXACTLY as I do if you want to live *keeps 10 feet away from the dragon and places all my weapons on the ground.Speaks* Scytheress, dragon of the labyrinth, we have dissabled all our weapons and we would like to leave with our lives. Our reason for being here was to acquire infromation form the ancestors of old, being now that we can't seek it, we wish for you to show us the way out. Please be merciful *bends on one knee* And show us the way out, and we will not return without the permission of you. However, I wish to be allies, and help you in your quest, as I am seaching for my own.

"What ever mercy that once was apart of the memories that dwell within these walls have long since faded love... I wouldn't count on any of them being your allies... I wouldn't even count on your allies as allies much longer"
The voice was drenched in a sadistic almost french accent that wrapped each word around the markers of sarcastic and condescending, The owner of the voice was a relic, something as old as anyone could remember that had ever survived an encounter with it.
"No.. If you really want to survive down here... you need to run.. from everyone and everything"
From the shadows of the room a pair of half moons slid into existence.. two small glowing orbs of radiant blue light that cut through the darkness to be seen as far as they needed but revealed nothing of there owner as if the lights themselves were embedded in the eyes of a human body... what was once a human body anyways.
All at once the mood in the air changed as the tinge of the man's voice changed and his accent completely vanished to make his point clear as day... "but most of all you need to run from me" his voice no longer came from one place but resonated in the air itself running across the walls like some vile acid to the ears of two intruders of this sacred place...
A single hand emerged from the shadows.. its fingers were nothing more then bone with shards of decaying flesh and dried blood.. Puddles of blood dark as the midnight sky pooled in the open light as the bone fingers cracked and snarled crushing the nameless bugs that had settled in the joints and cracks... His former words were shattered by a screaming laughter pouring into the room.

Scytheress had begun moving down the halls when an old essence within the walls stirred. Well good morning. The fox-elf smiled and began brushing the stray hairs from her face. A few more turns in seemingly arbitrary directions led the woman to the trio. She'd heard the young one's pleas for life and smirked. It wasn't often that humanoid life retreated into her lair so she felt some pity for the travelers but first she needed to strike up a bargain with her resident. "Dear shadow, you know I've always been courteous to my guests on these grounds, well, the above grounds. I should try to show some mercy if I'm going to rejoin the land of the living. After all, I can't stay wallowing over his death forever... Do you fight me on this?"
The demon's eyes fell on the pair as she spoke, wondering if they'd try to flee or do the smart thing of remaining still. "Oh, sorry to disappoint. There's no dragon here. Only us." Her smile was fanged and near maniacal. Her basic instincts told her to tear them limb from limb but she needed to learn to restrain herself again. Should be fun...

"It has been some time since I last tasted the air of a frozen night, I would dearly like to see the moon again... We have missed it so."
The bony hand dropped to the ground with a heavy literally lifeless thump for a moment it only lay against the floor which although should have been draped end to end with dust as thick as the walls but remained unnaturally clean much the way its owners original establishment had always been maintained before rising to its pointed skeleton tips to scurry off into the darkness out of sight although the tatter of its "nails" remained for several more seconds.
The dual ice blue moons of his own faded before blinking out as if someone had turned off the switch behind them leaving the corner dark and vacant as much as it ever was when in this haunted tomb...
"I don't wanna fight, not with you... not again..."
For the first time in more years then he had any clue Riack shuffled forth from the darkness beside the fox-elf his young child like eyes cast towards the ground and hands shoved deep in jeans that seemed oddly out of place in this ancient world a capital C and K were the only things left distinguishable on the tag at the back of the waist, His shirt was nothing more then tattered remains that showed the skin of the boys chest, a mess of scars that ran deep across all the skin was broken by what seemed like a endless stream of tattoo's each one a form of bind that sealed away the boys true body and with it the darkness that had corrupted his heart and soul.
His short snow blond hair swayed from side to side with a wind that was to light to feel on the skin but came some deeper location in the tomb that he himself had never found, Never once did he actually look up to the any of the people in the area which he would have had to standing at only about five five... it would unfortunately never change as the binds made the child ageless and unageing.
"Are you ready to go back" He whispered in a voice almost silent but still held its own distinctive weight about it
