For now, every individual has been numbered and archived by the government, down to fingerprints, retinal patterns, DNA samples, and so forth. In addition to this, satillites roam the skies and keep watch over the citizens of the United States, and criminals are now implanted with GPS tracking chips that cannot be removed.
However, the government is not just doing its job of protecting the people. It is controlling them as well.
Or, more accurately, the church is controlling people.
It started in 2008, when the rights of homosexuals were legally revoked. This fueled the fires of religion and closed the ever-narrow gap between church and state. In 2011, Christianity was the only religion legally allowed in the United States of America. This led to a near repitition of the Holocaust, causing all Jewish and Islamic people to be deported back to Israel and the Middle East. In 2020, awhile after the resignation of George W. Bush Jr., all destinguishing features between the church and the state were gone. There was no longer a President, only a High Priest, and the government slowly shifted from democracy to totalitarianism.
God has been used to justify it all.
The tool of the elite, God's word, has always been bent to suit the purposes of the elite, in this case, the High Priest and his followers. God has justified every step of the actions the High Priests have taken ever since 2020.
However, there are a group of individuals that have resisted. They call themselves 'The Unseen,' simply because they are individuals with no GPS chips, and more importantly, no data in the databases of the church archives. Their parents had been homeless people, indigents, and had been skipped over in the rush to document all persons.
Could it prove to be the downfall of the church?
With what meager weapons they have, the Unseen organization, slightly below a thousand in number, are poised for their first major step; the seizure of a small military base in the middle of Texas.
