Ive heard many times that Square have rejected any rumours of remaking FFVII to ps3 because of the techdemo they released previous year.
Now I just read in the E3 annoucenment on this forum that they have confirmed to make one?
Is it true?
There are many people with high hopes but again; square have said many times there wont be any.
Is there an official link of the statement where they are saying they have changed their mind and going to make one?

I heard that they confirmed it at E3 that they're officially remaking FF7 for the PS3, and if they say it at E3, then maybe it has some credit towards it.
As for an official link, I'm not sure. Have you tried the Square Enix site or something?

I continue to hear that they aren't making a remake, but then again, I continue hearing that they are. I would like to know the truth as well.
If they truly took into consideration how much MONEY they would make, they would definitely remake the game. I hope they do. FF VII was my favorite in the entire series. So, I'm hoping it's a yes.

Yea... how can the NOT remake FFVII?
There is no doubt that they will win on remaking it.
Think about it, all the FF fans will buy it. They will receive lots of attention in the gaming society. Their stunning new graphic will attract more people and make thousands of new fans!

There is NO confirmation. Honestly, if they HAD confirmed it, don't you think we would have heard more the rabid fanboys/fangirls?

Honestly, I think that there will be a revamp of the game. Why wouldn't they? And if they said it infront of thousands of people at E3, then heck, they should redo the game.

I think it is true, because of the e3 announcements. I dont think they would lie, but they do tend to get ahead of themselves.in the past, games have been announced but never released,so its possible that they are working on it, but even if it gets finished, it isnt a sure thing.

With all the classic character's in it. That should be one of Sony's Top Releases.

I would really, really like to see a FF7 remake on PS3. Maybe they could fill in the gaps Advent Children did not with this remake.

Yeah its official FF7 is being remade for the PS3 this should be good...just hope they dont make their own little adjustments to the game...but it is coming out so thatll be awesome

I'll belive it since my friend showed me some pictures that look like the old ones CG interludes, but it was Cloud going down the traintracks in the beginning. Best evidence I've had.

Okay, I've already stated this once already in a different thread. Square Enix has NOT announced any remake, also those pictures whoever posted saying they saw from a friend came from the Tech demo for the PS3's graphics system. Square Enix will NOT be remaking FFVII any time soon. If they were I would know about it, I have more updated info thanks to a special info site I know of. There are only a few Final Fantasy related games that will come out for the Playstation 2 and PSP, and a Final Fantasy VII remake isn't one of them.
