"We go where?" Sourire asked for the 5th time. Her hand was held my Atticus', much to her dismay, she wanted to skip!
Chukling Atticus responded, "The park, you've never been there before. It's got lots of flowers and play structures and there will be other kids to meet!" he knew getting Sourire excited would be no problem, the girl seemed to be able to make anything the time of her life and this would certainly be no exception.
"Kids!" She squealed as she tried to twist her hand out of her father's. "'Dere yet?" She asked not knowing she was staring the park entrance in the face.
"You bet'cha" Atticus said releasing her hand upon arriving under the gate. He watched as Sourire shot off into the park, stopping at the nearest flower patch and admiring the pretty petals. Picking a pink one she stood up and hollered to Atticus, "What dis? I like dis one!"

"Slow down R!" Linneas calls out to the little girl running ahead of him. She had been begging to go outside since breakfast and Linneas couldn't deny her this request. Not to mention Huni dropping hints that it was best he take her to the park, or else even Paestri will start demanding things too.
The Passenger looked back briefly over her shoulders just long enough for her itay to catch up. She didn't call him dad, or pop, or pa or any of the other words the other children used to refer to their dad.
"But 'tay, I wanna ruuuuun!!" she pouts. Once she sees he was close enough, the little girl grins and scrambled on ahead. She was having too much fun that she didn't watch where she was going and ended up colliding with someone. She tumbled into a patch of flowers, spitting out the random petals that caught in her mouth.
"Arya! Are you alright?" Linneas gasps, rushing to his 'daughter'.

Having her back turned Sourire didn't even know what was coming. One instant she was showing her daddy the pink thing and the next she was on the ground. Her face also full of flowers she spluttered out a mouthful and looked around.
"Sourire!" Atticus came running to his daughter's aid. The collision hadn't been so bad, but little kids are known for their fragile nature. Helping the girl to a sitting position he examinged her for bumps and bruises and, finally looking to her smiling face decided, "You're a big girl! Not hurt at all. There's a smile for daddy." He pinched her cheeks and turned to the other victim of this incident. "She all right? Looked like quite the runner!"
Sourire too took interest in this newcomer- who was conveniently her side and squatted next to her. "'Ello?" she said, poking at the girl's shoulder.

Linneas on the other hand was a little more paranoid about his 'daughter'. Despite indications that Arya was tough for a child, he still couldn't help associate her with his sister Paestri. You know the sort: delicate and gentle.
Of course by now Arya had brushed off her little fall and was seated upright, pushing away the concerned hands of her itay.
"I fine!" she snapped, annoyed that Linneas was so worried. She was tough as nails!
Hearing the Passenger speak, Linneas nodded to Atticus "She's fine, I can't find any cuts or anything of that sort. I'm Linneas, by the way and this is Arya."
Arya waved to both Atticus and Sourire. "Hi hi!" She grinned, "Wanna play?"

Though Sourire didn't speak much she definitely knew that word, "Play play!" she squealed, clapping her hands in agreement.
"I'm Atticus and this is Sourire," replied Atticus getting up from his kneeling position. "Quite the robust little girl you've got there," Atticus chuckled noticing Arya's isistence upon being fine. Noticing Sourire getting riled up Atticus chimed, "Now Sourire, don't play too far," and turned back to Linnaes.
"So this your kid?" he asked out of pure curiousity. After all, the boy looked in about his higher half of teenaged years and, unless the generations had changed more dramatically than he expected, Linnaes seemed quite young for fatherhood.

Linneas sighed at the question, few people asked him if he was Arya's father. They usually mistook him for her older brother or cousin. But either way he always ended up having to explain what the circumstances were.
"We're not really father and daughter, not biologically. I... uh... you see I found her in a train." he winced, expecting Atticus to now give him a weird look as if he was crazy. Unless he was speaking an an Author, Linneas never expected anyone else to understand what it was like to just find children in Gaia.
"Yay! We play!" Arya declared, she didn't even bother to ask for Sourire's name or offer her own. Even if her itay hadn't told them their names, she wouldn't have bothered to ask anyway. "Wanna run?" she asked, hoping the other girl wasn't adverse to racing. She learned some girls didn't quite like to run around much and she didn't like those kinds of girls. They usually played with dolls and house, which was boring to Arya.

Instead of wincing, a slight smile flickered across Atticus' face. Train? Appeared? Sounded exactly like Sourire! And, seeing as what Hikari had mentioned earlier, there were other other passengers scurrying about gaia so... "The train wouldn't have, by any chance, been named the Intervalac Underpass Junction, would it?"
But alas, Sourire was that type of girl and shoook her head. "No run," she said shaking her head, "we pick the flowas!" She picked a flower, twirled it between her fingers, and offered it to her new companion, an ear-to-ear smile accompanying her face. The sight could've made any host smile!
"My dad teached me ta make crown!" She said, her face brightening even more. That was it! She would make matching crowns for her and her new friend!

"I think so, I wasn't able to catch its name. But did you see a little boy there by any chance?" The teen asked. "Because when I got there, there was also this pantsless man at the basement..."
Arya just stared at Sourire in disbelief, "You wanna pick flowers and make crown? Whatsa crown?" she asks, she wasn't sure whether she liked Sourire. Especially since the other girl didn't want to race, did that mean she wouldn't like to play tag either?

"I saw a little boy and a pantless man," Atticus grinned. Oh yes, another passenger! "The pantless man was a little irritable, wasn't he? And I still can't believe he hasn't put any pants on yet."
Sticking out her tongue in concentration and carefully knotting flower stem's to flower stem's Sourire, after a coupld minutes or so, handed a completed crown to Arya. "Crown!" She exclaimed while bending down to make another crown.
After finishing her crown she looked to Arya, "You put on!". She plopped the crown on her head and beamed.

"He hasn't been wearing pants all this time?" Linneas blinked in surprise, "It's a wonder he hasn't caught a cold or something. If you don't mind my asking, how long have you been Sourire's father?"
Arya stared at the crown in Sourire's hands. Okay, she was expected to wear that? She was joking, right? Before she could say anything, she saw her put the ring of flowers on her head. Oh! That made much more sense!
Looking doubtful, Arya slipped the crown on and found it was a little snug. "What next?" she asked, completely unsure of what else to do with it.
