Well I found on Wikipedia... a pretty reliable source if you ask me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Faroush_Falenaswiki Faroush is not his canonical name in the games, but the name given to him in Konami's bonus savegame data. It is generally used in fanon in order to disambiguate the character from the other nameless protagonists in the series. "not canonical" meaning an unoficial name by an official source. (I think)... so we'll just have to wait I guess.

I personally like it. Sounds unique just like the other 2 heroes (not Lazlo, that was just bad). And sure it does sound a bit feminine, but what do you expect from a matriarchal society?
And speaking of names, is there an unofficial official name for the Flame Champion in III?

I like it. And I don't think that it sounds feminine. I can't imagine a girl having that name. But the I could imagine the prince with it. smile Faroush. Heehee ninja

Auugggg I hope that's not his name, it just sounds unrealistic...
Funny though, it does remind me of Freddie Mercury's real name, Farookh o_O Can't be all that bad then. xd heart

If it sounds the way I'm pronouncing it, then I'm for it being his name.
