Here's something i've been too lazy to research:
Why did Boingo call "So-Lo" a Danny Elfman solo when it's just not...?
(I wonder this all the time and have finally decided to try and understand...)

I heard one time that it was because there was no horn section, but once I actually got the album, I found that logic to be completely wrong because, duh, there are horns. I never really tried to find another explaination after that... confused

I think it was called "So-Lo" to fulfill some kind of contract agreement or somehting...that's what I heard...

I've never heard this but after listening to the songs, I thought it was a play on words, like so low..becasue of gratitude and stuff like that....but ya'll's ideas sound a lot closer to the truth than my bright idea..... sweatdrop

StitchedHeart, you're right, and that was intentional. You can tell, also, because in one video interview, I forget which one. It at least used to be on youtube... The interviewer says "Now, about so-lo" and he puts the emphasis on "so" and then Danny says "Ah, yes. so-lo-."
And what Miffles said is right. I don't remember the exact truth, but it had to do with something involving a contract, or something like that. It wasn't that Danny suddenly felt like he needed to have more publicity than the band. I think it was something about the company requesting him to do a solo album, for some reason or another.

The record contract thingy - it must've been something w/ MCA like..."okay you guys, you gotta put out a solo album this year, or else your burn. have a nice day blaugh " *shrug* sweatdrop

I swore I heard the rest of the guys, on every song...
