i am making this topic because it almost pisses me off that people don't know how to pronounce "vasquez"
most people say "vas-kwez"
it's really "va-kay"
i just thought that i would make this topic, since i have a friend wit the same last name and it makes me mad when people pronounce that wrong too. xd
does it make anyone mad that people don't pronounce it right?...
did you learn something today?... i'm just wondering... hehe.

I know for sure that its "joe-nen" and I'm fairly certain is "vas-kez."
Where did you see it as "va-kay"? I've seen tons of people with the last name Vasquez and it's always been "vas-kez."
Just wondering. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just want to know where you found this out. Becuase I've always been sure it was "vas-kez." eek

It SHOULD be "Vah-skeys". Jhonen... I dunno, that´s a good question.. either Joe-nen or Hoe-nen.. possibly the "h" makes the "J" sound like the American "J", I dunno. I knew someone who tried to pronounce Jhonen "Johann", I threw a fit.
