Hakan stretched his strangely muscular body and took a few slow steps away from the tree he had been lying under. From here he could see the mouth of the den where his family resided and was quite able to see if anyone approached.

Ever since his third meeting with that pridelander Hakan had felt a strange uneasiness about him and had been awaiting Mrost's return so that training could continue.

His family however would not find out about this training because basically he was unsure how they'd react. His mother would probably try to put a stop to it despite the fact that he was doing it for her own good.

He was the eldest male here and it was his job to care for them!

With a small yawn Hakan sat up and began to idly clean the dirt from between his toes with a rasping tongue.

A silent figure pulled herself from the depths of the den, approaching her oldest sibling curiously. It seemed like Hakan was gone more often these days, and twice he'd returned smelling of that female that Kimya ran into. Once, so had Kamal too. She certainly hoped they weren't starting any trouble just on her account.

She purred, none of her thoughts showing in her body language or expression. She was simply glad for the chance to spend some time with one of her siblings, and showed such by brushing her head against his shoulder before settling down next to him, lying her head on her paws.

"You look bored, Hakan," She smiled.

The dark-pelted brother smiled affectionately at his sibling as she approached, his own throat quivering with a contented purr as she came to sit beside him. It was good to spend some time with his sister for a change, especially as he didn't need to be so up tight. In fact around his family Hakan was the vision of a perfect son, kind, loving and loyal.

"Bored? I guess you could say that." He replied, peering at her through the tuft of his growing mane. "Guess I'm not in the mood for exploring today. This place bores me." He complained, "I wish mother would take us away from these Pridelands." It was obvious he had no love of that pride.

What would he do if he ever found out that he was a pridelander half-blood? Well lets just hope that he never found out.

"Yah got plans for today?"

"Someplace new would be nice," Came a partially commited reply. Kimya had nothing against the Pridelands either, but had to agree that it was a little..... Well..... plain.

Shifting to roll onto her side the little female purred again and batted at her brother's shoulder playfully with a forepaw.

"No, no plans." She admitted quietly. "I'm a little bored too, there isn't much to do.... Maybe mother will teach us hunting soon?"

"Definately." He agreed, stretching out his dark body in the sun. "All the lions around 'ere are just...well I can't actually think of a word to describe them." He huffed and grinned at his sister who chose that time to bat at his shoulder.

He turned to face her and reached out with his own paw and pressed it against her belly in an attempt at tickling her. "I'm sure mother will teach us soon, I mean we're not exactly the little cubs we were before. We're basically all grown up...well sorta." He wrinkled his snout and waved his tail high in the air.

"We could always teach ourselves though until she 'as time. I saw a bird's nest in a tree somewhere over there." He waved a paw idly in the direction he spoke of. "Perhaps the babies are learning to fly, that'll make 'em good for practising on." Apparently picking on poor defenceless animals did not make Hakan feel the slightest bit guilty.

The short lived tickled caused Kimya to squeal a bit, covering her stomach with all four paws as a few giggles escaped. She calmed down again a few seconds after, easing onto her back. His suggestion left her a little distressed, though.

"Not baby birds, Hakan, they're little and defenseless... What if we found some field mice or something instead?"

If it had been anyone else he probably would have insisted, however this was his sister and he'd pretty much do anything to make sure she was happy.

"Fair enuff." He slurred, shaking his head and gazing around him. "Where do yah think we should look, sis?" Perhaps the longer grass would have been better, though he had sometimes seen them near the cluster of berry bushes that didn't grow too far.

So far as he was concerned mice were simple playthings but he supposed one could practise things like 'pouncing' on the silly little creatures. "And mice aren't defenceless." He chuckled, "they have vicious little teeth if they get the chance to use 'em, so all's fair, right?"

He stretched his body and glanced up suddenly, "Yah can lead the way. I'll follow."

He earned a happy smile at that, from his sister. She nodded and rose to her paws, snow dipped tail flickering, head brushing briefly against his neck with gratitude before her tipped paws brought her forward. She was going to lead them in the direction of a small cluster of bushes.

"I think there was a burrough over here."

He purred and followed after, dark body visible against the earthy browns around him. It was a pleasant enough day and the young juvenile felt strangely at peace today, though that was probably due to being with his family. There was no reason to be tough and angry around them, no reason at all!

"Let see if we can find it!" He replied, his voice quieter now as they drew closer to the place where it could be found. Mice were skittish things and it wouldn't take much to scare them away to their homes and since lions were to big to follow it would quickly end their hunting practise.

He raised his head and sniffed, the scent of berries, grass and something else reaching his sensitive nose. Mice perhaps? He hopes so.
