Hello. I made this topic for people that are yet to come out about their sexuality. I am yet to come out to my family. People that need coming out help are welcome, I've attempted and just said that I was just confused because I didn't like the reaction, so I have some experience. Blerg, I dislike my mom's christian prudeyness (I'm a christian, I have nothing against it)

well, My friends were the easy part, but my dad would never accept me, he almost put me through counseling when I got caught, then he ended up blaming it on himself and went back to denying it.

my mom whipped out the self help book as soon as i told her. she read the section about gay kidss aloud to me. it suked so much. she said i was just going through a stage, so i humored her because it suked. she asked awkward questions like, "when you see a boy in the hall, do you think about having sex with him?" it was weird. i said no because that isn't what life is about, scoping out sex. It bugged me so much...gah...I don't know how I will do it. I doubt she will take me seriously this time...

that's never good but no parent really wants to hear that their child is of the sexual orientaion that society looks down upon.

Montigo Dominic well, My friends were the easy part, but my dad would never accept me, he almost put me through counseling when I got caught, then he ended up blaming it on himself and went back to denying it. my parents didn't believe at first. they thought it was something i was saying to get under their skin. my friends were really supportive though. xd

society sux. meh. i also asked god last night if it was so wrong and if it was i would hold bak my feelings. i said, "God, I am starting to think the person that wrote in the Bible about how homosexuality is bad is just a homophibe and decided to throw that in with the batch. If being gay really isn't that bad then please make the next song on the radio station I am listening to be from Evanescence, if it isn't ok, make it something else" and guess what...It was Broken, with Amy lee. I freaked out. So i am definatley not changing unless some dramatic thing happens to make some odd change in my mind. By the way, don't you hate it when people call things that are annoying, ignorant, ect. "gay" i hate it. i almost had half the nerve to punch a guy in the face for being such a jerk to me about being gay and calling things gay as if it was bad.

Derek_Keebler i know it from seether...its just...its god damn close...maybe being gay is ok in certain sircumstances(i know thats not how you spell it) Well here, let me releave you. The bible you probably have in your house isn't the real bible, it's some great fictional book rewritten centuries after Christ's death (forgot the name of the guy who had rewrote it). And the bible is a bit too contradicting for me to even read. Much less believe anything said in it. Obviouly I'm an angry litttle atheist. Just believe in what you want, and don't let other people push their crappy views on you. Especially parents.

My point exactly! a homophobe edited the bible to say it was bad, there is a refrence that says jesus could care less what one man did with another.

Well, if hed been Evanescence, that would be a miracle or a sign. The divine doesn't work that way. The ambiguity is what leaves enough room for faith without proof. There's an episode of Futurama... Bender becomes like a god to a colony of tiny beings that inhabit him while he's drifting through space. Then he meets a being that may be God, who tells him, yes it's a tough job... but "when you do things right, people won't be certain you've done anything at all."

If I remember correctly, that is...
