"So great... now I'm a mom." Winter grumbled, leading the small boy by the hand. He was a cute little bug though... already had a good build on him but a child? This wasn't going to be easy to manage. On the flip side the companionship would be nice... She also was given a place to live here. The movers should be finished by the time she and her new... son arrived. "...well ..." she looked down to the small child who seemed a bit too ditracted by the size of the world outside to pay her too much mind, "I suppose I gotta name you and all that."
The bull boy looked up to her, giving a soft smile. He already seemed quite perky. Winter was sure he could speak but was just choosing not to for the moment, he looked about old enough to have a small vocabulary at least. "...How's Cody sound?"
The child chuckled, nodding his head. Truth be told he really didn't care what his name was, to have a name at all was good enough for him.
"Look like a little cowboy, might as well give you a cowboy name... kinda... better than 'Rex' or 'Red' or some cra-..." She stopped herself, "S..tuff like that."

"Come on, come on, come on!" Came a voice as Ligeia ran along his wings flapping rapidly as he tried to take off, still unable to really get the hang of it yet. And ambling along alongside of the owl child was Vorel. The dragon was mimicing his partners flapping of wings but wasn't really so much trying to fly himself as he was trying to encourage Ligeia.
His interest continued up until the point when they ran passed Winter and Cody, then he did a one-eighty as he turn to rush towards the woman crooning away at her as he approached.
It took him a moment to realize that he'd been abandon but when he realized it Ligeia came to a sliding halt spinning around on heel, "Vorel? Oh... no..." He started back to the other way hoping that the Frosty one wouldn't tackle the woman... not again... not again...

Winter stopped dead in her tracks as another one of the critter children ran by, suprised slightly to see a small dragon waddling contently after him. For a moment she only watched with mild amusement, but the look soon faded into one of suprise and quiet pleading- oh lord it was like a big dog... if it jumped on her...
Cody on the other hand seemed more than happy to see it rushing at them. He frowned a bit and balled up his fists, giving a playful snort. Maybe it wanted to wrestle! Oh he hoped so!

Vorel gave a happy crooning sound... and pounced at Winter, tail wagging rapidly as he did so. And all poor Ligeia could do then was just come to a bit of a halt, close his eyes, and hope for the best out come to the situation of dragons pouncing on unknown individuals... and adult ones at all... Oh no... he and Vorel were going to get into far to much trouble for this one....
(( Whether Vorel lands on Winter or she dodges is up to you. ^_^; ))

Winter had just a second to push Cody away from her before she was pounced to the ground by the hyperactive dragon. "URNG! Get offa me you overgrown newt!" She grumbled, throwing her hands up in front of her face to avoid any licking or some other such nonesense. Funny...she'd always related dragons to cats in her mind, not dogs.
Cody grinned, he liked this game already! It must mean it was his turn to jump on the boy who was running at him. He turned to the stranger, scuffing a hoof along the ground before flat-out jumping at him. A good tackle if he landed a hit but not at all intended to cause harm. "GOTCHA!"

Vorel gave a happy crooning sound, he'd done it! He'd finally at long last caught a prettypretty... now what did one do with them? He tilted his head to the side as he gazed down at her. His gaze was likened to that of a small child that had gotten the attention of a person only to forget why they'd wanted their attention in the first place.
Ligeia, having not in the least expected retaliation, went down in a heap with the bull child on top of him then a few feather fluttered down after him. He blinked a couple times then laughed, "I... think that I deserved that." He was a light weight, lightly build due to his bird genes, and easy to tip over it seems, "Ahh... you win..." He looked around then reached up to catch a feather, "This." He said holding it out to the little one.

Cody threw his hands up in victory, his grin spreading nearly from ear to ear. The feather caught his attention and he slowly put his arms down, looking over it. "...for...me?" He slowly took it, running his fingers along it. It was soft... and so pretty. He tested it out a bit, bending it just a bit to see how sturdy it was. Fragile- that meant be careful to it. "..Thank you." He smiled, reaching up to tuck it into his hat. "I gotcha'. You now!" He backed off of the boy, standing upright at his side with a hand down to help him up, "You now!"
"HEY BIRDBRAIN!" Winter yelled out, peeking out from under her arms, "How about you get rover offa me before playin' with the kid?! Cody how many times do I have to tell you not to tackle."
"Sowie." He smirked a bit.

Ligeia gave a squeak having forgotten all about Vorel and his tackling of the ladies when he'd gotten blindsided by the little cowboy, "Ah! Erm... I am sorry!" He said pushing up to his feet then gave a flutter of his wings, "Vorel!"
His voice seemed to get the dragon's attention as the frosty one turned his gaze over to his partner, "Come over here, come meet..." What was it she'd said? Cody? "Come meet Cody."
Vorel looked at the kid, swished his tail upon seeing that he was a boy and not a prettypretty but grudgingly went over to sit at Ligeia's feet and looked over at him, snorting out a little cloud of cold fog that quickly dispersed in the warm air.

Cody smiled, reaching a hand out to the dragon. He'd seen Winter do it for the cats, the little creatures would come over and sniff at them first. She said that was a way for you to be polite to the cats. If they smelled you they'd see if it was okay to let you touch them. If they nuzzled the hand after a good sniff then it was okay to pet them. "Howdy!" Cody grinned wide, he liked the dragon. It looked like a fun playmate. Cats were too small to really play with. They liked to lay there, flop over, or stretch out in the sun.
"Of all the...", Winter rolled to her belly then up to her feet, dusting off the grass that had collected on her shirt. "You should get a leash or somethin'... I don't think people will warm up to a dragon jumping on them- especially when it gets big as they get."

Vorel sniffed at Cody's hand, looked it over, then tilted his head to the side, there was nothing there... He looked over at Ligeia who reached into his pocket to pull out a back of frozen bits of meat. He laid one of them on Cody's outstretched hand, "There you go. You can get him to be your bestest friend if you offer that to him."
Vorel's tail was already lashing when he saw the treat that the little one was now holding.
The owl child then turned to look over at Winter, "I appoligize for him, hes still a baby and doesn't quite know his own strength. That and he has the oddest attraction to girls. He loves to chase after them. Your actually the first he's ever caught." No wonder Vorel had no idea what to do with her once he'd caught her...

Winter finished dusting herself off and adjusted her shirt a bit, "Well no harm done... just something to keep in mind. If he'd gotten Cody he mighta bruised him up a bit."
Cody snorted at the very notion. He wasnt at all weak. Even for a toddler he was brawny in build, thick in muscle where most toddlers would be a bit pudgey and soft. His chest was already broad and often puffed out with his proud shoulders held back. A bruising was unlikely but he was short still.
"Anyway... I suppose there had to be a first. Just my luck that I got pounced on by a dragon before an actual boyfriend." She chuckled at her own expense, buttoning up the black overshirt. The sleeves were rolled up, it was warm enough to really not need it but since it was warmer, carrying her ever-present backpack for extended periods of time would leave an absolutely -attractive- circle of sweat on her back. It was disgusting in her opinion but she wasn't willing to give up her 'tumor'. Inside she carried her artpad, a box of pencils, and whatever book she was currently in the middle of. The overshirt prevented that- not to mention made her look a bit more shadey.
Cody looked to the treat that had been put into his hand and extended it out in front of him, bending his knees a bit. It probibly wasn't needed, but he felt silly just standing, "'ere ya'are, critter!"

"Mmm... yeah. Maybe though... He's yet to try that." Ligeia mused, in fact Vorel had very little interest in guys, he dealt with them yes but he didn't actively seek them out like he did with girls. He just... preferred pretty things Ligeia figured. He reached a hand over to pat Vorel.
The dragon's attention was on Cody though, eyes locked on the bit of food that was given over to him and when it was held out Vorel crooned excitedly. He opened his mouth, tongue coming forth to wrap around the treat, and he gulped it down.
Ligeia's wings fluffed up and flapped happily, "That was very good." He said, both to Cody who'd fed Vorel and to Vorel himself who had taken it carefully enough so as not to catch Cody's hand with his teeth.

"Very good." Cody repeated with a friendly pat to the dragon's head and a wide grin. He'd not been outside of the facility before so seeing other children and creatures was new and horribly exciting to him. The fact that he actually got to feed and touch one was almost empowering to the little cow boy. Maybe all critters were like this one. "I like 'em." He said after the dragon had finished his mouthful.
Winter sighed, brushing her hair out of her face, "Do you know your way around here, kid? They said that us parents get to have houses for taking a kid under our wing but I've never been to this part of gaia so I'm kind of turned around." She didn't like admitting any kind of weakness but she was, quite frankly, stumped.

Ligeia gave his wings a little flutter as Cody's excitement over Vorel seemed to be catchy, "His name is Vorel." He told Cody then turned back to the child's mother, "Housing. Hmm." He tilted his head to the side thinking on it. He knew vaguely, they didn't live in the classes. They had a couple rooms in the building as his father wanted to be nearer to his classroom.
He gave a mental curse, though it was a vivid one as even in his own mind he watched his language, what a pain. If he could fly he could go up and see where he housing was...
"Not exactly sure." He finally admitted, laughing, "My father may know but hes inside dealing with an angry Cobra."

"Not even a good direction to point me in?" She chuckled, folding her arms accross her chest, "Well that's gonna do me a lot of good... Suppose there's no real hurry, I got the week off to settle into our home." She glanced to Cody. He surely didn't seem to mind being outside- of course what did he know? They could be getting everything set up and ready for that night. At this rate by the time they -did- find the house they'd get the pleasure of sleeping on an unfolded matress or a couch, too tired to deal with unpacking and arranging the furnature into a livable state. "Well this is wonderful, just great. I shoulda grabbed a map..."
Cody watched Vorel, his grin growing a bit more, "Vorel." He chuckled, darting back behind his new 'mother' to show her the feather, "Lookit- I got it from da winger critter." "Yes, it's very nice, hon." She smiled a bit, having a bit of a soft spot for collecting feathers as well.
