Anubis wandered around, his legs impatiently roaming. He whinnied very restly skittering across the floor. He threw back his mane out of pheer (sp) fustration. 'Why was life so boring?' He asked himself, his eyes scanning the horizon. He was standing near the edge of a rock overlooking the forest, his blue making him stand out so very much. He loved being this high where the birds flew. He sometimes wished he could fly with them but he was a horse. Not like those winged ones however.

"Because life is full of too many wonders to let your life linger on one subject to much. Unfortantly, boredom is one that life just likes to keep returning to." Said a deep voice from the forest. His form was unseen, but just by the eerie sixth sense, you knew /someone/ was there. Moments later, that silence return, the form no longer speaking, but just watching, hidden in the treetops.
Just as the voice quit his talking, Rikka emerged. "Hello!" She chirped, giggling quietly at the stallion. Comparing the voices together, you knew the first one did not belong to the wind. So who's was it? Only Rikka could tell at the moment, but would she? Who knew.

"Ehhh?" Anubis turned around at the voice and narrowed his eyes at Rikka. That was most surely not that female soquili, was it..? Anubis was bewildered. "What a smart speech. My sentiments exactly." He drawled out to the voice, he stared directly into the treetops having a inkling of an idea of what it was.
Diverting his gaze to Rikka, he nodded most curiously. "Hello there. I dont suppose you know whos up there? Like a bird perhaps?" Anubis said with a faint smile of amusement.

"Know...who's up there?" Rikka turned her cyan gaze towards the treetops, catching a flash of white from the stomach of her familiar. "Nope, haven't a clue." She grinned, walking closer to the bluejay soquili. "He'd attack you if I told you his whereabouts. It's Iason the hawk." She whispered, shuffling her wings before backing away from Anubis. "He doesn't like stallions." She said quietly, nodding slightly. "I'm Rikka~" She grinned. "And..you are?"

"Ah ha!" Anubis said shooting a little glare at the "so called" eagle before facing Rikka. "Anubis at your service" he said giving a little bow. "If I was in his position, I wouldnt dislike all males. Just those who pose a threat." Anubis nodded his head. "Wise speech about boredeom." Anubis said to the bird begrudgingly. Even if he disliked the bird, still had to tell the truth ne?

"In his eyes, ALL males pose as a threat." She murmured quietly, looking down at the ground.
This action caused the red striped hawk to fly from his perch, screeching as he landed on the ground, glaring angrilly at Anubis. "Say something to upset her smart guy? Huh, did you!?" The hawk squawked (hehe rhymes 8D ) golden gaze glaring at the bluejay.
The hawk blinked, tilting his head. "My speech was nothing more but a sheer comment as you talked to the nothingness this land also has to offer." Iason said, puffing out his chest as he continued to eye the stallion.
"Hush, Iason." Rikka snorted, rolling her eyes. "Annoying little bird won't leave me alone, but he's great company. Anubis you say? That's a nice name. Like...desert-y?" The snowbird soquili grinned. "Are you from the desert? You don't look it. You look...like a bird~!" Like she was! Though, he looked more of a bird then she did.

"Desert-y?" Anubis blinked. " I am bird. or a blue-jay specifically." He stamped his hooves giving a wary glance o the hawk. "Overreactive, arent you?" Giving a grin to Rikka, he told her "Keep a leash on him. Otherwise he'll claw every guy that comes near you. " He gave the hawk a nudge.
"Annnyways, not like Im gonna do anything to Rikka." He whispered to the hawk. "Dont worry, I have no romantic intention. Well, not now anyways. Did you forget that I am not the intruder here? That you talked to me first?" He gave a lazy smile to the hawk.

"You have...bird blood in you then?" Oh Rikka was confused. "But you don't have wings...I have wings?" The snowbird looked towards the extra limbs. "Does that mean I have bird blood in me?" Her voice was high pitched as her eyes showed a look of sheer confusement. "I don't think he'd like a leash too much...maybe if it was white!" Oh she wasn't thinking about it, was she?
As Anubis nudged him, Iason screeched, pecking at the stallion's leg. His keen sense of hearing didn't need to adjust to the sound of the whisper, seeing as it came out quite loud and clear. "If you ever, you'll be missing a few vital organs, if you catch my drift," the hawk said lowly, his voice almost coming out in a growl. So he was wise in some parts, but a real pain in the a** in others. Peachy, wasn't it?

"Hmmm. I never thought of that. I have no idea." Anubis said with a thoughful look. "I dont think it really matters though. We're both horses and thats it. Even if you are winged." Anubis said wisely. "Whatever flots your boat." Anubis said shrugging his shouders hiding a grin. This "rikka" was certainly amusing. He thought with a cheeky smile.
"OH really. I wonder whos more powerful? A horse or a hawk?" He said raising his eyebrows. "YOu have nothing to worry about. for now. Although I doubt I'll be taking a mate anytime soon." Anubis gave a loose shrug as if he didnt care about those things.
"A different subject, anyways. What do you have buisness here? I dont see another kind like myself and a hawk on a cliff to often." He asked inquisitively.

"Depends on who's more wiser? And who has the ability of flight." Iason gave a beaky smirk, chirping quiet innocently as Rikka glared at him.
Rikka nodded. "As long as there is no..huge characteristics that differ us completely. Like...say you had a beak! That..would be weeeird" Rikka was just a kid at heart, you could tell by her actions and words. "I thought all boats floated...?" OH back to the weird questions again.
"When you have wings, you can go anywhere." The snowbird shrugged. "I like exploring, and being in one place to long just drains me." The blue mare told Anubis. "What are you doing up here? It's not everyday you see a 'groundy' in the air somewhat.

Anubis's confidence wasnt waivered by the eagles word. Nevertheless, he could see that Rikka wasnt going to be familiary with phrases as that and would take them literally.
"Groundy? You mean those without wings?" Anubis said confused. "For us groundies, as you call us, some of us do wish to fly but this is the closest we can get!" he chuckled but underneath, he felt very wistful of the birds flying that he saw out of the corner of his eye. "Anyways, exploring is a good thing. Just be careful not to get lost." Anubis gave a small grin, his mood changing as aruptly as it came.
"Hey eagle, I suppose your up here because you followed her correct?" Anubis directed. "As they say, the fools will follow." He tossed his mane.

Rikka nodded. "The normal soquilis. The ones I wish to be like." The mare gonked. "You wish to fly, I wish to stay on the ground." It was like Hok'ee said, those who had stuff, wanted what they couldn't get, and vice versa. "It's fun when you get lost though!" She chirped. "It makes the exploration an adventure!"
"I resent that." Iason squawked, raising himself to stand as tall as a eagle hawk could stand. "Someone has to watch her to make sure no lusty stallion get's their way with her." He whispered as he flew to say the words into Anubis's ears. "It's happened before, and I am NOT going to let it happen again." He grunted, nestling himself in between Rikka's wings.

"Always the same. Whatever suits your taste!" anubis said to Rikka cheerfully. Listening to the hawk with only half an ear, his brain suddenly registered the information. "What? You mean like rape?!" He hissed at the hawk surprised.
Glancing at rikka, he didnt want her to find out what he and the hawk was talking about, he said "So any family? My tee-pee is right over there!" He pointed his nose to the direction of the forest close to the Kawani village and the river. "My human lives there also. You?" He asked.

Before the hawk flew towards Rikka, he made an odd gurgling sound. "It should be called that, seeing as the b*****d left her with the burdens of two children." He scoffed, his voice ever quiet so Rikka couldn't hear them.
"You have yourself a two legger as well?" Rikka asked, oblivious to the fact that Iason and Anubis were talking about her. "I have a son...and a daughter. Though..I don't see them much anymore," She sighed, ears drooping. "And..I live in the mountains! Where it snows all the time! I miss it, but I can't live there forever, knowing the ones I care for reside down here." She said quietly. "Is your twolegger nice?"

"Yes I have a two-legeger. You said as well so I suspect you have one too. and yes, shes nice but too busy for my tastes" Anubis offered. "A son.. daughter? Have you tried.. visiting them?" Anubis said quietly wishing that Rikka could be happy again like she had been a while ago. He gave her friendly nudge on the cheeck. "Cheer up Rikka! You look so sad now. This isnt the Rikka that I saw before." Anubis said confidently hoping that the hawk wouldnt take that the wrong way or something and peck him >_> <_<
(Rikka should get together with someone again that'll make her happy :< Wanna volunteer Anubis? 8D ))
