Kadaj sighed softly to himself as he tried to figure out how to keep the cookie supply from drying out. Granted, the silver haired cat boy wassn't used to bribery in order to keep a minion loyal, but until Demyx learned the joy of doing things for Mother's sake (or just because Kadaj said so), he was going to have to figure out a way to keep running out of cookies from being a problem.

Demyx looked around a moment, ears twitching, before looking back to Kadaj. The silver haired one seemed deep in thought, and Demyx couldn't keep himself from wondering why.
Which, of course, made him incapable of keeping his thoughts quiet.
"What's wrong boss?"
Well, at least he had picked the boss thing up pretty quick.

Kadaj glanced up and shook his head.
"Hrm? Oh, nothing's wrong. Just making sure I have plans to keep the cookies coming in, that's all."
As he spoke, he rummaged in another pocket on his long coat and withdrew another cookie. Tossing it to Demyx, he studied his minion carefully.
"Demyx," he began, "do you have any kind of weapons training? If we're going to conquer this workd, everyone involved needs to know how to handle a weapon."

Demyx caught the cookie, nibbling on it while Kadaj spoke.
"mmm cookies..............weapons training?"
Finishing off the cookie, the blonde tilted his head at Kadaj, thinking it over for a minute.
"I can do this!"
He extended one hand, palm up, and slowly a water bubble formed, floating in the air right above the outstretched hand.
"Is that good?..."

In spite of himself, Kadaj was impressed by the bubble trick. Of course, they couldn't really bubble their enemies to death... And, to be frank, bubbles were not very intimidating. Still. The minion was trying at least.
"Not too bad. How big can you make those bubbles?"
Even if the biggest they could be made was enough to fit over the average head, there was still a decent chance of death by suffocating bubble... Pity there wasn't any materia about... Then we could just summon monsters, he thought.

"Err..I can make em pretty big..."
He nodded, letting the bubble float a bit more.
"I can also form shapes...but err...they don't stay together too well..."
The bubble shifted into the vaque form of a small person, which danced around above Demyx's paw a moment before busting, and thus drenching the blonde cat boy.
"Annnd then that happens..."
He sighed, shaking the water from his paw. The water trick was somewhat impressive, and no doubt over time he'd learn to control it better. He just had to hope the boss was patient enough to let him learn.

Kadaj perked up and pushed his silver hair behind his ears. Different sizes and shapes? Well, well, well.... This was startign to look and sound quite promising. And it wasn't as if Mother had imprinted a deadline on his brain or anything.
"So it burst," he began, barely able to keep the manic glee from his voice. "Not to worry. We're still kids, yes? Yes. You got time to learn control. And more time means I can think of some good plans so we don't fail when it comes time to conquer. Have another cookie, minion!"
It was the last of his fudge dipped Oreo stash, but hey, Demyx had earned it.

Demyx fidgeted around a moment, nervous that the 'failure' would make Kadaj angry with him. He perked back up as Kadaj spoke however. He wasn't mad! Horray! He even seemed...gleeful.
"Thanks boss!!"
The blonde happily took the cookie, nibbling on an edge of it. As he nibbled, he kept his eyes on Kadaj.
"I'm sure you'll think of good plans...uh huh..."
Demyx nodded eagerly, tail twitching behind him as he finished off the cookie.

"Oh, I'm sure I will too. Now, any other tricks up your sleeve that I should know about? Can't have too many contingency plans!"
It was all Kadaj could do to keep from slipping into the typical villian routine of rubbing his hands together and cackling. Mother was sure to like him best after this! Queitly, he vowed that if this all worked and things were conquered, he'd enslave the damn Keebler elves and give them to Demyx. What a useful fiollower he was turnign into.

"Con...cont....conting---huhwhatnow?"
Demyx blinked at him a few times, trying to figure out just what his boss was saying.
"Hrm...other tricks...other tricks...I've got this thing..."
Again the water bubble formed, this time forming the shape of a sitar before solidying into the object itself.
"I can uhh...play...a bit?"
He played a few notes, offering the boss a nervous grin. Oddly enough as he played a few bubbles formed and seemed to dance a moment...though the second he stopped playing those bubbles poofed.

Kadaj sat up quickly and watched as the music seemed to control the water bubbles.
"Do that again, but play a bit longer this time," he ordered quietly. "And..uh... try playing different types of music, if you can. Like angry music, happy, that sort of thing."
A seedling of a plan was beginning to form in the back of his brain. It would take time ot develop properly, but he had time.

Demyx started playing again, playing as much of a happy song as he could remember. As the upbeat music played, the bubbles reappeared and seemed to float harmlessly around.
That done, Demyx took a quick break to try and recall the other music he could play. As he stopped, the bubbles poofed, but they'd be back shortly.
Grinning to himself as he remembered, the blonde once more started playing. This time the music was a lot more dramatic sounding, and the bubbles that appeared seemed to buzz dangerously around their master.
But, being just a child, Demyx couldn't recall much of the song, and had to stop a short ways into it. Again, the bubbles poofed, and the blonde turned his green eyes on Kadaj, searching him for a reaction.
"How was that boss?..."

A smile that would have made Sephiroth proud twisted Kadaj's face. If the bubbles could move like that when the music sounded angry... Oh, the possibilities were endless! Forcing his grin into somethign a little less insane, he nodded to his minion.
"That was good. In fact, it was so good, I am going to go out right now and ste... errr... buy, yes buy! the biggest pack of cookies for you I can find. I might even throw in some Pixie Stix!"
Kadaj rose to his feet. He needed a little time to consider all the possibilities that Demyx's unusual talent had opened up.

Demyx grinned. The boss was proud of him! The joy of being worthy...and useful...such a great feeling.
Besides! It brought more cookies!
"Really? Thank you sir!!"
The blonde moved excitedly on his paws, barely able to contain his own energy. Cookies! AND maybe even pixie stix! Could the day get any better?

Kadaj slipped back into the house with a small grocery bag containing a family size pack of cookies and an equally big package of Pixie Stix. Acquiring them through slightly less than honorable means had been so easy! And squashign the uppity clerk who'd tried to give him lip had been even more fun. He'd forgotten how much fun summoning up a Shadow Creeper could be.
Part of his mind wondered if Demyx would enjoy having a Shadow Creeper as a pet. In spite of the fangs and talons, they could be surprisingly cuddly... Gah, he thought, shaking his head violently. What am I thinking of, turning a tool into a pet or even caring about what someone might like. Bad form for one of Jenova's sons... Still. You couldn't help but like Demyx somehow. Hyperactivity and all.
"Oy! Minion! I got cookies and Stix for you!"
