Everyone compares the Nintendo DS and the Playstation Portal. I think that u really can't compare them because they are almost the same. For example the PSP has really nice graphix and really cool games. The DS is more for younger children than it is for older children and teens. The DS also has a touch screen and chat room. Also company wise... Nintendo is mostly for games so the things that they doo might not be as good because of the money involed. Sony on the other had has more money than Nintendo mainly because they make computers, TV, and phones. So you really can't compare them because of the major and some of the minor difference in the companies and the game console themselves.

Very true but also don't forget that nintendo also has had more experince in the hand held department then Sony but each are trying to appeal to their own audience as well. They can be compared but by the individual for their own needs.

the ds is way better!!! the psp is way heavier then a ds!! and ds has way better games!!!!!!

i object! the psp doesnt hold a candle to the ds multi play capabilitys

I agree, the DS has better games, wi-fi and more exsperience in the hand held department!

The DS is for every gamer who wants to get away from the ordinary. The DS has some really nifty games, too, like the traditional Nintendo games and some that break away from tradition, like Trauma Center. The DS is also more affordable than the PSP.

yeah 300$ so you can buy movies that only work for it
and a memory capacity that forces people to buy a large number of memory cards

I'm more fond of the DS myself. I'm a huge fan of Nintendo's basic policy, which is to make games for everyone and break from the ordinary, not (as Tycho Brahe says) cater to the petulant whims of 18-to-24-year-old males. However, the PSP does have lovely graphics, and the Daxter game is PSP exclusive. However, I'm still a DS Fangirl all the way.

Haven't seen many guys around... neutral DS all the way. Nintendo just has more experince in the handheld department. Plus the touch screen and Wi-Fi and all that good stuff.  Yeah, Nintendo owns.

I dunno. It's hard to choose between them. On one hand the PSP has videos the Japanese naruto game, and other stuff (My friend owns one. not me) But, it also has games for much older people. On the other hand the DS has Jump Superstars, great multiplayer, and is for younger ppl. Honestly. I like them both. Console Fanpeople disgust me.

I have to admit I'm a bit afraid of the DS...I wouldn't be able to handle looking at two screens at once. It's weird though...the PSP has good extras, internet access, the ability to play movies, etc. And the DS has the good games and graphics to boot....why can't they just morph the PSP and the DS into one handheld? Then you would basically get the perfect handheld system known to man!
