Hajari strode with even steps down a sidewalk alongside the road, the pastel wolf Tensui in step beside him. Hajari never was one to take off without asking, but chasing after the hyperactive wolf seemed fun at the time. Tensui sniffed at the air, trying to find the building where they had come from. She was never one to pay attention to detail, and this fault showed up bright and clear in such a case.

The harpy boy stopped suddenly, glancing around at all the tall buildings that lined either side of the road. He exhaled, lowering his gaze to the concrete-plated floor. "We're lost, aren't we?" he asked Tensui worriedly.

"Lost?" she asked, perking her ears up. She turned her eyes back on the road ahead, not recognizing any of it. She gave him a nervous laugh and replied, "Naw, we're not lost! I remember this!"

Hajari shook his head, recognizing her bluffing right away. "Are we even going the right way?" he asked, growing more worried by the minute. "Maybe we should ask someone how to get back to the apartment building..."

Tensui sighed, knowing the truth in his words. "Maybe you're right. But let me ask, okay? I'll never hear the end of it if you get abducted," she said, giving the harpy boy a stern glance.

Hajari blinked a few times, wondering why Ten would say that. "That's what I was thinking!" he answered, giving her a weak smile.

A few seconds later, the air in the center of the street seemed to implode with a massive, spiraling column of dark red mist, edges sparkling with silvery black as a large shape galloped through it. "Whoaaaa!"

Pulling to a slightly-stumbling stop, the hulking figure came into focus as - a horse? Not quite the same, although it appeared to be roughly the size of a Shetland pony. This gray-furred beast had frying-pan-sized paws with three toes, a shorter muzzle, and sail-like ears topped by curved back horns. It also had two young passangers on its back.

"Dude - I think we went a bit too far." Spoke the bigger of the two, a young boy with bright red hair. Black horns on his head matched the demonic tail that whipped behind him as he looked around. "At least this is Gaia. If I ended up in the middle of a party again, I think Aunt Sheena would shoot me."

In the boy's arms, an infant with pale blue hair sticking up in spikes babbled gleefully, clapping his hands. Seeing Hajari and Tensui, he giggled, pointing. "Olf! Olf, birdie!"

Hajari jumped as the mist appeared out of nowhere, hiding quickly behind Tensui's large body. Tensui cocked her head in confusion as a figure appeared out of the red mist, the thought that this may be an enemy seeming not to click in her mind. Hajari peeked out from Tensui's back, worried about who it may be. "You were talking about being abducted?" he asked shakily, worried that it may come true.

But as the figure -- actually, figures! -- stepped out into full view, Tensui smiled in her canine way and replied, "No need to worry, it's just another kinder on a... horse... thing." Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, trying to figure out what it was they were riding on.

Hajari rose slowly, studying the view in front of him in wild fear. How did he do that? Was it their mount? Maybe it was the demon riding on the mount, just like he was able to call a breeze. He pulled himself out from behind the pastel wolf, eyes fixated on Tex and his horse-like mount. Just then he realized the demon was holding a young child, of which the child pointed and tried to speak. This simple act warmed Hajari up slightly to their presence, and he lifted a hand to wave to them weakly.

Tensui barked a laugh, wagging her tail in a dog-like fashion and stepping forward. "Hello! My name is Tensui and this here is Hajari. Who might you two be?" she asked, giving the child a wink. She always seemed to love the children, and loved making them laugh.

"A wolf - " The redheaded boy looked up as Tensui spoke, a broad grin crossing his face. "Oh, hi! I'm Tex. This is my little brother Horo Horo, and this is Steel." He patted the furry shoulder of his mount, who snorted slightly and stamped one paw. "He's an Ixthia. We were playing tag, but we kinda overshot where we were goin'. Are you another Kinder?"

Horo Horo giggled. His brother's babbling was nothing new - Tex usually spoke rapid-fire when he wasn't being serious, which was rare. Pointing to himself, the infant grinned. "Oro." He pointed to Hajari. "Jari! Jari pitty."

"Oh, is that what it is? An Ixthia? I was wondering," Tensui said, her nose scrunched for a bit. Her eyes rose to Tex and Horo Horo, and she gave a sheepish grin. "It's nice to meet you two!" she barked happily, bouncing in place and startling Hajari.

Hajari stepped back in order not to get hit by Tensui's eager tail, and looked up to Horo Horo as he spoke. He blushed slightly at the compliment, and giggled. He wiggled his fingers in a small wave to the blue-haired infant, and said, "Hello, Horo! Thank you!"

Tensui smiled as Hajari spoke, glad that he was getting over his initial shyness so quickly. When he first came to live in the Seishin household, it always took him a while to warm up to others. But now, he warmed up in a matter of moments! It was a large step for the growing harpy.

Hajari walked over to the Ixthia's side and glanced up at Tex. "Yeah, I am another kinder. Do you need help getting down? It looks like your hands are pretty full!" he asked with a laugh, offering his hand to help.

"Tag, huh? Where were you playing? Is it very far? Maybe we can help you get back," Tensui offered. Being as far away from home as they were, it wouldn't hurt to take a small detour, would it? After all, they didn't even know the way back, and it was possible they would be able to phone home as well.

Tex laughed. "Different dimensions." He held up a round amulet hanging from his neck on a silken cord. "Technic'lly, I shouldn't'a brought Horo, but he was bored. See, you use the Space amulets to teleport, and you gotta stay ahead of whoever's it. They're programmed to stay where the Ixthias can walk, so ya don't end up in water or anything scary." He shrugged, still grinning. "Usually I'm kinda good at staying in the right places, but I think I went too far with the last jump."

Pausing, he glanced around. "Are ya lost?"

Horo Horo, meanwhile, was giggling happily at Hajari. This boy was fun! He was fluffy, like Aeris, but he was a boy, like Tex and Cody. That made him double-cool. "Jari pway tag?"

(( Heh, sorry. I didn't realize you'd posted. ^^; ))

Tensui raised her eyebrows, interested in this talk that others could travel dimensions. But the idea worried her, seeing as MoogerMint's trips to the other side were always a terrible experience with her possessor. "Are you okay? Nothing happened between dimensions, did it?" she asked, intrigued that there may be more dimensions than the two she was used to hearing about. She always suspected it, but never heard about it!

Hajari looked sheepishly back up at Tex and grinned shyly. "Yeah, we're lost. How'd you know? We were out playing in the back yard of the apartment building, in the park, and Tensui ran off. We were playing tag, because I had just learned how to, and I was trying to tag Ten. We got lost along the way," Haj explained, scratching the back of his head and smiling.

Wow, he can really talk! Making friends must have really helped him out socially! the wolf thought with excitement, hoping Tex would be an addition to his friends. But at the talk of being lost, Tensui snorted and said sarcastically, "Lost? Nawww. We're just... directionally impaired."

Hajari smiled as Horo Horo giggled. Making the younger child smile like that really brightened his day, which took some doing since it had gone horribly wrong. "Sure we can, but can you wait a little? We need to find a good place to play!" he told the young child. Looking up to Tex, he asked, "Would you mind playing for a bit?"

(*laughs* That's okay, bouncing between RPs and quest posts. xDD)

"Nah, we do it all the time." Tex grinned, rather pleased. "And hey, sure, you guys can come with us! We can get ya home, right, Horo?"

"Ummm!" The little boy nodded vigorously, grinning from ear to ear. Just then, a calm female voice came from behind them. "Directionally impaired? Sounds like a match for Tex."

A blue-haired young Banir stepped casually into view, holding the reins of a second, deep green Ixthia. Her horns were white, a fuzzy two-pronged tail flicking calmly from side to side. She grinned cheerfully at Hajari and Tensui as Tex stuck out his tongue. "Awww, you're no fun, Raven."

"I'm lots of fun. You just get lost easy." The girl retorted, amused. "I'm Ravenbrooke, Raven. Tex and Horo are my brothers."

(( And I just came back from droping off my little sister. But I'm back for good! X3 ))

Hajari grinned, happy that he would be going home. "Really? Do you know the way to the apartment building? Maybe you could come in with us and visit, if you have time," Hajari offered, liking it when friends came over to visit, even if he had barely met these two.

"That's great! Then I lead the... umm, leading... to you two!" Tensui yipped, wagging her tail. And playing along the way wasn't such a bad idea, either!"

Hajari looked to Horo Horo with a surprised glance, then turned to Tex. "Horo seems to understand you pretty good! He's going to grow up to be really smart at this rate!" Hajari commented, reaching up to tickle the toddler in the ribs and smiling. Though this was short-lived, as he jumped back when an unrecognized voice came from behind Tex's mount.

Hajari reached his head around to see past the Ixthia to find a second one, on top of which was a female demon. If he could become even more relaxed than before, he had become just that. It always perplexed Tensui at first about why Hajari relaxed more around females, until she remembered that he had grown up with them. It also helped that he looked pretty much like a girl, despite his protests. "Hello, Raven. My name's Hajari, or Haj for short," he introduced with a wide smile.

"And this gal over here is Tensui, ma'am!" the wolf said, introducing herself in her own awkward manner. "So, Tex here is a match for me, eh? And waddaya talkin' about? I find it fun to find someone like me!" she snickered, tail still waving about almost like a hummingbird's wings.

Raven snickered. "Eh, he's not so bad." She glanced over at her brother, who made a face and grinned. "Our game can wait - you mean the Banir apartments? I know where they are. Most of my friends have their own houses, but Mom was talking about letting me get an apartment when I grow up."

Horo Horo giggled. "Up!"

"Yes, up." Raven rolled her eyes and offered a hand down to Hajari. "Wanna ride? It's easier than walking. You can get behind me, Pine has room."

Hajari cocked his head slightly, not remembering the name of the apartment building but thinking that probably was it. "Yep, the Banir apartments. So you know where it is?" he asked excitedly, smiling broadly. "When you get your own apartment, you should come live near us!" he stated, jumping slightly on his taloned feet. "That way, I can have a friend live nearby!"

"Up?" Tensui asked before Ravenbrooke offered her hand. She smirked, though she still didn't want to admit that she was lost. "Well, I could have led us back home, but it's better to go home in a group, neh?"

Hajari snickered and turned his head back to the wolf, "No you couldn't, you're the one that got us lost!" Turning back to Ravenbrooke, he flashed her a grateful, yet sheepish, grin. "Thanks, Raven. And Tex and Horo, too!" he laughed, grabbing the demon's hand and heaving himself up on the Ixthia's broad back. "Ten, follow close behind and don't get lost again, okay?"

Tensui snorted, but flashed the boy a humoring smile, nodding.

Raven grinned. She liked this little guy. "You have enough juice left to teleport?" She asked over her shoulder, raising an eyebrow at Tex. Her brother shrugged, grinning blithely as he shifted Horo Horo to a better position on his lap. "Dunno - how far are we from home?"

"Forget it - we'll take the Ixthias back to the Center, then go from there." Raven rolled her eyes.

"Which Center?"

"Ours, dork."

"So home?" Tex smirked as his sister made like she would throw something at him. "The Kinder Center!"

The redhead laughed. "I know that." He confided to Hajari, leading his mount up beside the other two children. "I just like seeing if I can make that little vein in her head twitch."

Hajari laughed, catching himself before he toppled over off of the Ixthia. He leaned forward, grabbing Ravenbrooke around the waist as he started sliding off. "I've never... ridden anything besides a wolf before. Never anything this tall!" he gaped, snickering in his excitement. Although he didn't say it aloud, he had never been between dimensions before, or even teleported! The mystery excited him.

Tensui snorted, amused by the playful bickering between the two siblings. "Speaking of veins, Hajari's mother has this vein stick out of her neck when she gets angry. But... don't all... humanoid people have that happen? I just find it odd that they have that happen and we wolves don't. So, they stick out on your head, too?" she asked, giving them a toothy grin.

"Ten!" Hajari laughed, shaking his head. "Don't mind her, she's just curious about everything. She's fun to be around, though!" he explained to the two of them, telling of both her advantages and her faults in one breath. "So, we're off to the Center, then!" he chirped, happy again.

(( Argh, I'll be right back. I gotta go to bring something back to a store. See you in a bit! ))
