Teleka returned to his mate and son after a unsuccessful hunt. He trotted over to them and nuzzled them both, a sleeping white cub on his back. "She is oging to be somewhat of a trouble maker, reminds me of my sister!" He chuckled and licked at his paw, not sitting down like he would have wanted to so the little girl wouldn't fall off.

He lowered his head to his son and licked at the makings of his mane. "How is my lovely son today?" He chuckled happily, it was nice to be able to be around both his children and mate, but his son seemed eager to go off somewhere, where ever somewhere was.

His brown eyes looked into the golden ones of his mate and he smiled, "Our daughter has already met one of her cousins, it seems like she likes to go wandering without telling anyone!" He chuckled and turned to look at the desert, "May I come with you on your wanders? I am sure Ny wouldn't be to happy is she was told she had to stay here!" He chuckled looking lovingly at his family.

Ripuka had yet to introduce herself to anyone and ever since she had entered these lands she had the sneaking feeling that perhaps not everything was as happy as it seemed on the outside.

She had watched and observed the actions of others and already noticed that some seemed more tense than others. She had already formed a list of those she would avoid - which was basicaly the whole pride accept from the odd couple here and there.

Either way she was moving slowly across the sand, her white-tipped paws coloured gold and scarred face watching each grain pass beneath her. Never had she felt so happy to be home! The day was glorious, the sun hot on her back and breeze ruffling through her fur. She felt truly alive and yet despite that she was strangely submissive.

She had kept herself to herself and done nothing to annoy or please anyone, in fact she doubted any other member - other than Kimeti - knew of her presence there.

So here she was finally - emerging from the den and travelling across the sand to get a very much needed drink. It was only when she was drawing closer that she heard the sound of voices and as she raised her good eye she noticed a small family collected at the place she had wanted to go.

A stiff growl rumbled in her throat reminding her further of her discomfort, and with a little annoyance she swept forwards, saying nothing to them as she ducked her head to drink. Hopefully they wouldn't see her.

The small white cub woke while her father was talking to her mother but she didn't move, she liked them thinking she was asleep. She had been watching the water when the strange adult appeared and her golden eyes watched the figure for a while before she leapt off her fathers back and trotted over, not before turning and saying hello to her mother though.

As she reached the lioness, she sat down, curled her tail around her small body and looked up at the femme, "Who are you?" She asked in a soft tone. She tilted her head a little more till she looked as if she would fall over. She thought it gave her a different view on things to try and look at others upside down!

Teleka let out a snarl as his daughter leaped off him, "NY!" He said in a rather stern voice and he then bowed his head, "I apologize, my daughter is young and somewhat of a trouble maker." He then looked down at his son and licked the top of his head, after all he was being the good boy!

The adult lion moved closer to his mate and the disobediant and rude cub. He took her from Kijinga and sat her down, his paw on her tail so she couldn't wander off again, he could sense her annoyance though she didn't say anything. He just watched the strange female, he hadn't seen her before but yet she looked like the rest of them and as a mere hunter he respected all but one.

The youngster squirmed and moaned as her mother picked her up. "I just wanted to play and talk to her!! MUUUUUUUUUUUUM!" She moaned as she was taken away. Oh how parents could be annoying! As her father took her she let out a small hiss as she found his paw on her tail, her precious tail!! She just sat sulking, not saying anything.

The red lioness said nothing as the cub approached and instead felt the strange twinge of nervousness. Not much of her life had been spent around cubs and she was slightly unsure of how to behave around them. To put it simply Ripuka was not 'mother' material and so she tried her best to ignore the cub, continuing to lap thirstily.

The last time Ripuka had been here in the Firekin lands everything had been quite different and now as she gazed around at the little family from the corner of her good eye she knew it was doubtful any familiar faces were left.

She had no idea of who the female was or the fact that she was indeed royalty, to Ripuka she was merely another firekin lioness. A firekin. She came to a small jolt at this thought remembering how respectful she had been of them in her early years. What had changed? She gave a sharp intake of breath which only aided in getting water up her nose and after sneezing she reclined onto the ground, turning her ears towards the male who seemed to be apologising.

"One cannot tame the mind of a child." Was Ripuka's curt response, turning towards the adult lioness who had asked a question of her. "Is it not polite to give one's own name before asking that question of another?" Ripuka didn't care much for names, most of her life had been spent hiding it beneath false ones, sometimes she even got caught up in the lies and forgot her true name - the name given to her by her father. Being a rogue and being a member of a pride were quite different and Ripuka had yet to learn the ways. For so logn she had been alone, looking out for only herself that this change was hard for her.

She hadn't realised how hard until she had set foot upon this place again.

Atleast for this little family it seemed that Ripuka was a litlte more 'sane' than usual.

"I am Teleka, this little girl is Ny and then our son is called Tamu'meka but I am far too lzy to call him that, same reason I never say Ny's whole name, far to long!" He was rambling but then it was something he was good at, seeming to be one of the most stupid lions to exist!

He licked at his daughters head and looked back at the femme. "It would be nice if it were possible to tame this girl!" He smiled and bowed his head to her in respect, something he had been taught by his mother.

The little girl was still trying to get away from her father. Her brother, sitting there the little good boy who everyone loved. She let out a small snarl and bit her fathers foot to get him to let go of her. She then trotted off back to the new femme and sat infront of her. "My parents silly!" She smiled happily looking up at the strange femme, pleading eyes asking her to not let her parents take her again!

Ripuka drew her head up from the water and moved to sit back elegantly, turning her face curiously towards the female. She was young - younger than herself - which probably explained why she didn't remember her or recognise the name. Ripuka suddenly felt old and with a slow blink of her eyes shifted her gaze to the cubs. They still looked small themselves and she wandered how long they had been in existance. A week or so perhaps?

"And I am Ripuka." She replied curtly, dipping her head in the slightest of bows. Yes it was going to be strange being around her own kind again but already she was falling into the little habits. The way she had bowed to her father returned to her memories and she remembered the great lion as one she had always respected...and feared.

Unlike a few of the more 'modern' pride members however, Ripuka was stuck with tradition, chained by its teachings and values that had been drummed into her by her parents. She adored Finar-si, respected er pride and upheld the reputation of being ruthless and strong.

Teleka seemed like a strange one and definately not the typical firekin that she had grown up around. He seemed friendly and warm not like her father who had been as cold as stone. Her tail flicked idly as she turned her good eye downwards to the approaching cub.

White.

"What a strange colour for a Firekin." Ripuka spoke, though it was not meant rudely. It was simply a statement that made her wonder. If two lions of The Blood could create such a spectacle than would anyone know if a lioness became pregnant by a rogue? She snorted and shook the thoughts from her mind. Of course they would know!

"She has spirit." Ripuka actually smiled faintly, gazing down at the little snarling cub. It seemed what she lacked in a red pelt she gained in the attitude and really that's all that mattered.

Perhaps she wasn't as closed minded as she had originally thought herself to be.

Kimeti has heard of the birthing of his nephews and nieces but had not bothered his sister as of yet. He knew how protective new mothers could be. Kimeti was brave, but he wasn't brave enough to come between a mother and her cubs, expecially if that mother was his sister. Oh no, Kimeti kept his distance, but now the squealing and yelling of cubs could not go unnoticed. Quite curious to meet the new mmbers of the pride the King stepped out into the sunlight and onto the hot sand which burnt at pads well calloused.
Following the sounds of the cubs laughter and yelling Kimeti soon found his sister, brother-in-law, and Ripuka. With a smile the King stepped up to the three adults as his eyes flitted over the cubs with a warm expression before he walked up to Kijinga and enveloped her in a hug. "I am glad to see you and the cubs are well." He let the lioness go before turning his attention to Teleka. "It seems you have been taking good care of them all."
He turned to the cubs and lowered his body so his face was more on his level. He figured he might as well get use to the idea of little ones roaming around. Karama was well into her pregnancy now and it wouldn't be too much longer until he had his own litter to care for. "Now, who might you be?" He questioned the little ones with a smile.

Teleka smiled and stepped back a little when Kimeti arrived bowing his head with a smile. "I try my best with them all." He spoke softly but surely back to the king and watched the two cubs, Ny being herself was being annoying. He didn't do anything though, he didn't raelly want another n** on his paw. He liked his paws they were somewhat useful when it came to things such as hunting and walking.

He laid his large body down in the sand and looked at Ripuka again, "May I ask when you returned to the pride Ripuka?" He was somewhat curious but didn't like to butt in so he bowed his head and smiled polietly if she wished not to say anything, after all it was upto her.

Little Ny was pawing at the red lionesses legs and smiled, "White is like the best colour to be! So pure and precious!" She smiled and sat down in front of Ripuka, her nose high in the air and her eyes closed. She would have stayed like that as well but her uncle came along. Her ears followed his sound but she didn't answer his question. Instead a little hiss came from her and she pounced at his tail playfully.

The young King Kimeti had approached and with his entrance the little white cub scampered to play with the new lion. Breathing a small sigh of relief the red lioness moved to lay down and turned her head so that she could see the group clearly in her good eye.

"A few weeks back." She replied to Teleka, "and being greeted by the ocean of gold was the greatest pleasure I have ever experienced." The last was said mainly to herself but if the others had wanted to they could have overheard.

She paused as the two siblings made their greetings and spoke only when she was sure it had finished. Her fire tipped tail flicked idly as she spoke, her words smooth as silk. "Greetings Lord Kimeti." He was king and she was not related to him, it was her obligation to treat him with respect. "The pride is alive with the sound of cubs, seems things are doing well here."

The rumours of hardship that had dragged her back to the desert after all this time were nothing but that. Gossip spoken by idiotic rogues. She was embarrased by the fact that she had believed them in the first place, for never could a pride as strong as the Firekin fall so easily.

Kimeti smiled at his sister as his attention was pulled from the little rascals playing about. "Ah, I have been well. Very well. The pride seems to be settling down now and I can't help but feel relieved that many have returned. The Blood will be able to thrive again." He glanced back down to the cubs. "Especially with a new generation getting ready to take the lead." Looking to Teleka he nodded. "That's all I can ask."
He chuckled softly before looking to the young male who so boldly stepped forward with his name. "Well Tamu'meka I am Kimeti, but you can call me Uncle." He winked with a playful smile on his maw only for them to widen in mild shock as two tiny paws, including two set os claws dug into his tail. Turning his body so that he could get a better look at the offender he gave the young lioness a mock glare. "Now, who said that was for playing with?" The King removed his tail from the white cubs grasp before turning his large frame around to get a better look at her. To say he was surprised to see such a color on a Firekin hide would be an understatement. Kimeti had never heard of a Firekin possessing such a pelt color and would he have not know that Teleka was a pureblood Firekin he may have had to toss around some questions. But, the only thing Kimeti could come to was that somehow or another the oddball color of white had revealed itself on this young lioness. He just hoped it wouldn't cause her too much trouble in the future. Then again, a little trouble may help build character.
"Now, who might you be?" He asked her, still with a serious look on his face as he attempted to see what kind of personality the little one had.
