Caroline steps out of Mountain Air, circled up with Varekai, and bids Rojiza to follow. "Let's us wait a minute for Lesh and Ani--they should be out soon. We've got some things for ye lassies to do."
This bodes not well.

"What're we doin' today again, Mum?...All you said is we're spending time with Rojiza and Miss Caroline." Anezka looked up at Leshya'e, who was gathering up some things in a basket. The little rabbit girl was anxious to know what she was going to be doing that day with her friend. "You'll find out soon...Have patience, Ani..." Leshya'e laughed and then gestured for Anezka to leave the wagon, following behind her and waving to Caroline.

Caroline waves at her friends and they meet. "Ready for the day, lassies?" she inquires, vague as to whether she's talking solely to the girls or to the group as a whole. "If ye fine wee lassies are to become good gypsies, ye must learn to care for yer animals." She gives Cornelius a stout pat on the neck. He knickers. "So today Lesh and I'll be teachin' ye how to feed, water, and groom the mules an' horses."
This shouldn't be so bad. She likes Lesh and Ani, and she likes the animals, especially her dear mule Cornelius. Maybe she'll enjoy learning how to take care of him.

"Indeed..." Leshya'e nodded and reached into her basket, pulling out the brush that she uses to groom Alexander, handing it to Anezka. "Horses and Mules do hard work for us and inturn need to care for them. They are our friends and also our family. Dare I say, they are the corner stone to any caravan." Leshya'e smiled to Caroline, then handed her the basket, which held other grooming items. She then went over to Alexander to unharness him, leading him closer to the group.

Rojiza peeks into the basket and takes out another brush. She examines it, thinking it's much larger than the brush she uses to tame her own unruly locks.
"Come, Ro," says Caroline. "I'll show ye how to unharness our wee tempest of a mule.
|We'll just assume that now she's showing her, because Mene doesna actually know how. xp |

"Ani, can you go grab your little wooden stool please? Bring it and put it here by Alex's side." With a nod, Anezka went and grabbed her stool and brought it back, "Mum...uumm...what's the difference between a horse and a mule? Is there really a difference at all, or is it just a name thing, like between a rabbit and a bunny?" Leshya'e bit her lip and then looked over to Carline, shrugging, "Uumm...i...don't know..."

"Och, aye, there's a difference between a horse and a mule. Yer bonnie Alexander is majestic and strong, whereas Cornelius over here is stubborn and headstrong, the wee besom." She grins. "No, a mule is what results when a horse and a donkey have a bairn. Cornelius, the poor lad, canna have any children of his own, though. Come, Ro, let's get 'im some water, then. Grab that pail there, that's a good lass."

Leshya'e picked up a water pail and wrapped her arm around Anezka's shoulder. Following behind Caro and Ro, they headed to fill the pail with water. "Water is very important...always make sure that the animals, and yourself, have plenty of water."

Rojiza nods, taking this information in. She holds another pail in front of her, using both hands.
"Now, just dip the pail into the water and get a nice bucketful," says Caroline, motioning to the cool mountain stream. She puts her hands on her hips, watching and smiling as Rojiza does as she's told.

Handing the pail to Anezka, Leshya'e gestured for her to do as Rojiza was. Anezka nodded and did as Caroline instructed, glancing up at Caroline and her mother for a second, "Aren't there rules though...about what parts of the stream are used for what? I heard someone mention something about that." Leshya'e nodded, "Oh...yes...I'll talk about that later. That deals with lots of things though, not just watering the animals."

Rojiza, holding the now-full bucket of water, sets it on the stream bank. She tips her head like, 'what now, Mama?'.
"Now we wait for Ani and Lesh to finish their own task and go back to yon wee wagon circle," replies Caroline to her daughter's unspoken question.

With the bucket filled, Anezka lifted it and grunted, "Ugh...So heavy...Didn't think water could be so heavvy!" Leshya'e laughed and reached a hand down to help her out with the weight, then glanced at Caroline. "Feed, Water...then Groom...Should that be enough to teach them for today?

"Aye, I think that's enough for the wee lassies," agrees Caroline. "Come on then, lasses, let's go."
Rojiza follows Caroline back to the wagon circle, hauling the bucket of water with her. It's heavy, but she stands strong and doesn't complain.

Anezka wobbles a little bit, looking over at Rojiza and smiling, "My skirts wet, hehe" Once they reached the two wagons, Leshya'e pulled the stool from Alexander's side and placed it in front of him. Anezka lifted the bucket up onto it and the horse gleefully drank. "Alright...umm...the feed...I store mine inside the wagon. In the case of bad weather." She nodded and went into Varekai.

"As do I. It's in the big oak trunk near the door, Ro. I'll go get it while ye give wee Cornelius his water. She climbs the two stairs to Mountain Air and gets the feed sack.
Finding no stool in sight to do as Ani had done with the water pail, she just holds it up at a reasonable height for Cornelius to drink from. She doesn't really tire of holding it--it isn't all that heavy after all.
