Cloverina, Faeri Dancer and myself have taken it upon ourselves to expand the United Modist Territories to the next logical place for us: The Charity forum. But we cannot do this alone. We need your help.
We intend to start a charity, which will be titled Modist Amounts of Love. Said charity will cater to newbies who need a hand up and a way to avoid those flame clothes that only Sotek (and occasionally Whom) makes sexy.
Please send all donations of gold or common items (but not peasant or flame clothes, please) to LoveOfMod - all donations are Gaian-tax deductable, and will go directly to those who need them the most.

I just have to say I think this is a wonderful idea. In fact, I got a pink link just yesterday that I don't really need myself. *sends trade*
Make sure to tell me when you get the thread in Charity up and running---there's nothing more boring than pages full of "bump", and I like to do my part to keep things lively. whee

Im cutting into my sharp pointy object fund, but I have sympathy newbies since I used to be one and no one would give me a hand. Let us know about the forum. Instead of posting bump I can post "pie" or something.

I wholeheartedly approve. SpiritofMod will continue to be used for internal material, (some surprises are coming up now that the saints are settled), but I'll be more than happy to make a donation to this group.

What are these surprises you speak of? Surprises are fun........ As soon as I finish my wishlist (only 1000g to go!) I will donate! When I was a newbie, a friend of mine helped me out with my first outfit, and I would like to do the same for others.

At Guild Home, where it says "Donate" where does that money go to? 'Cuase I donated a little awhile back......
EDIT: I just found a pinklink!!!! Now my wishlist is completed, so I can begin donating!!!
Unfortunately, I'm broke at the moment, but I got an extra grass skirt....

I won the Modist pot, and once I get everyone to pay up I will donate 30 percent to LoM, mind you its only 300g or so.

It was in the Guild FAQ: The guild donation system and account logging is a feature that is reserved for future use. You can donate at any time, and if you have an entry fee that gold will also go into the guild account. At this time THERE IS NO WAY TO ACCESS GUILD GOLD. Do not ask moderators to use this gold. This will be used in the future for guild only features. If you donate gold to your guild, you will not have access to it at this time!
