Which style of Metallic awould you say sounds better.
Pre-Newstead?
Newstead?
or
Post-Newstead?
Personally I choose both before and during Newstead's reign...

The problem with the poll is that I like ...And Justice For All, however I did not enjoy the albums post AJFA as much. So I would say pre Black Album is my favorite era. Sorry for follwing the poll, but I put a vote in it.

In my opinion, And Justice For All was Metallica's last good album. So, for that reason, I chose before Newstead. Cliff was a better bass palyer and had a better attitude. I think Jason's attitude is what changed Metallica

no life till leather- master of puppets and even a small portion of and justice all had the very thrasy sence that i think cliff really brought to the band after he died they kind of lost that extreme thrashy-ness about their music. however i do love all of metallica to this day. the first 3+demo are my favorites to play and to listen

All three have their high points, but I like pre-Newstead. Cliff Burton just kicked so much a**! His bass solo on (Anesthesia) - Pulling Teeth was enchanting to say the least.

I can't decide either... I picked before Newsted's reign just for the coin-age. I'm too hardcore of a Metallithrasher to choose for real though... Thats like asking for my fave song... I just can't choose!!!!

I picked both before and during cos they made the Black Album with him, also we got KING NOTHING one of my favorite songs
