'smatter of fact, my first PC ever was a Teifling Rogue, an especially unlucky one. Nearly killed by the first trap he ever encountered. xd

I don't usually play monsters as PCs, but I did play an interesting character in a Scarred Lands campaign. It was a Spider-eyed Goblin Egoist (Psion). With all the arms and eyes it made a very useful addition to the party, though having to make a nest and hide in a tree outside town whenever the party when into civilized lands wasn't so much fun. I'd just send a shopping list and gold with the cleric xp

I've played a Lamia Noble... It was fun, but kinda hard to do since the creature doesn't exist past the original AD&D fiends Folio.... I had a lienent GM. ... I sold most of my party into slavery.

Right now I am playing an Incubus name Verios Don Megura, saddly his Charisma is 1 point away from max...lol his CHarisma is 23, and he's really more chaotic then evil. I think after I take all of the Incubus class levels I'll become either a bard or a sorcerer. I say bard because of the bardic knowledge ability, and singing! But I say Sorcerer because they get damagin spells, however my character was not meant to be a HUGE damage dealer. So i think I may end up with bard.....

In all available instances, no matter what game I'm in, I play the most monstrous race available. I also have a predisposition towards 'greenskin' races such as orcs and trolls. In a standard 3e game (*retch*), this is usually a half-orc. In games that allow it, I go for something more monstrous, like a fullblooded orc or other creature. I also have a soft spot for gnolls and lizardman or aquatic-type races.
I also like to break the mold with monster races (usually this involves raising whatever ability score is ruthlessly slaughtered by their racial mods). Well, I don't consider it breaking the mold so much as allowing monster races free will. I have a tendency to play intelligent, well-spoken (in their own tongue, at least), and often honorable or noble characters, regardless of what alignment the book might "define" for me.
I have the 1994 release of WarCraft: Orcs & Humans to blame for this stance. 3nodding
