I was suprised to have searched both the fantasy and the Series subforum and not find a thread dedicated to the lord of satire. So I, well, I created it, didn't I?
Come one come all and let us discuss all things disc world. Pull up a crate, fetch yourself a meat pie from Dibbler (If you're brave enough) and be sure to keep to the shadows (We don't want Vetnari finding us here, now do we?)

Hehe, that's what I'm reading at the moment, Night Watch my b/f bought it for me last year, it nearly completes my collection! The only reason I haven't completed it yet is because I refuse to buy books first hand.
About the artwork: Are you annoyed that it's changed to stupid black covers.. what happened to the humorous cartoons that covered every spare centimetre??
Pratchett is the greatest! I love Sam Vimes and Nobby Nobbs!

I've read two or three of them, and I really enjoyed them. I must get around to buying more.

I'm pretty sure i've read almost all the books by him. I'm an ABSOLUTE addict. The strange part is, i have trouble finding anyone who finds his work as hilarious as i do. I will be reading, and suddenly burst out laughing hysterically, on the metro, and people will just stare at me as though i'm the craziest person there. Even crazier then buddy who keeps talking to himself and arguing with air.
But one day, i saw another woman on the metro, and we were both reading "hogfather" and i'm pretty sure we shared this look that was like "A-ha! You too are part of the Pratchett Club."

I've only read Thief of Time, but it was so hilarious that I'd gladly pick up another.

Ah, prattchet. One of the few authors who seems to actually be able to write 30+ books, each one better then the last.
On a side note - anyone actually know how many discworld books there are out there? I'v lost count loooooong ago.

I adore the Discworld series, though I've only actually read one book (the newest one, Thud) in its entirety. I've been hunting around for more, and now that I have approximately sixty-five dollars in Barnes & Noble gift cards, I can buy some. Terry Pratchett is a god among authors.
