I could make up a stroy like that in the time it takes to cook a hot pocket in a nuclear reactor.

There was an episode on Family Guy that mentioned it. Wasn't it the episode where they went to the Native American casino?
Anyway, I've heard of the story. There should be a subforum for urban legends.

Heyhey. Okay, for legends and things, I would watch Supernatural. (but not for the writing...ugh)

But they had a hookman episode, which concurred with everything I have ever seen or read or heard from either of my parents family, friends and books.

It was more ...I should just post up the plot summary, or if you want it PM me, but, it was pretty accurate about the legends, and it was kind of creepy. "Aren't youglad you didn't close the door?" ugh. that was gross. Anyways. Anyone who is interested in being able to read the plot summaries,

(they have wendigos (Flesh eaters) bloody mary, and some other stuff that were pretty big legends so, if youre interested PM me...)

Eh. I've heard plenty of stories like this, all with different names. If you want to make it more believable, give us a bit more detail, eh? =/

Bloody Mary episode was the first episode I saw....It really reminded me of a mini-version of The Ring. O_o;; Creeped the hell out of me though. x3;;

Me? Detail huh? OH, not me. lol.

Yeah, no, I'm even watching all the re-runs again. My life is freakishly like Dean's. Scary. Only, I have a sister and a brother. Older sister, she's gone... long gone, and younger brother.

But, yeah, the camera work was awesome for her in that one. I've never seen the ring.

But, I would definately look up Supernatural because the guys who write it actually do research the legends they use and stuff. So, its got about 5 or 6 different versions blended into one for each episode.

I've heard of that legend. The scratch marks on the door handle was really creepy. I don't know if it's true or not....

i love the hook men tales

There are countless hook-man stories, because there, at one time, were countless hook-men. Replacing limbs with hooks was common practice for quite some time. I wouldn't be surprised if there were over ah undred actual cases where some guy used a hook to slice up some poor sod.

I've crosschecked most of supernatural's references, and so far, they've been dead on with most everything. At this point, you could almost take things they say as advice.
