I've just been helping to make the family Sunday Tea and I suddenly got thinking about all the delicious things there are to eat in the world...
A few of my personal favourites are:
Bacon (grilled and crispy and mmmm...) Blueberry Muffins with Strawberry Yoghurt The cheap curry flavoured noodles from Lidls (NO other noodles will do! I have done tests!) Black Olives - especially on pizza Macaroni Cheese Pies (Scottish speciality) Chocolate (in any form) Garlic Bread Scones with Strawberry Jam Sugar Snap Peas
There's plenty more too. I'm just curious as to what other people like to eat...

This made me so hungry I had to run away & eat! biggrin Hadn't eaten all day anyway. How about a good slaw dog? Do they do that anywhere but in NC? Folks in NC seem to treat slaw as a condiment! smile Which reminds me of another delicious thing --NC Barbecue!! heart

What IS an American biscuit? (I take it you aren't pouring gravy over custard creams... though that sounds like something that might appeal to my brother...)
Talk of banana pudding reminded me of something else - banoffee pie! Mmmm I love that so much. Though the cafe makes it better than I do.

http://www.joyofbaking.com/Biscuits.htmlMind you it has to be WHITE gravy made with flour, milk, and pepper. I don't see why ANYONE would want to eat brown gravy with maybe some cheese for breakfast. But then again I also live in Missouri. sweatdrop I'm getting really hungery for biscuts and gravy and maybe some eggs... sweatdrop

American biscuits are a nice, versatile bread, fluffy & great to use with sweet or savory fillings alike--and, of course, to split in half (or crumble) on your plate & cover with nice breakfast gravy--white gravy, as seffy_chan says, made with flour & milk & sausage grease & pepper--and a little dash of salt, or it won't taste right! I make mine with Jimmy Dean Sage sausage. I used to like the Bob Evans Restaurant's biscuits & gravy, but something tastes different lately. I think they've done something to flavor the biscuits & it makes the gravy taste weird too. sad Cracker Barrel gravy is boring.

seffy_chan, you should come to the big Barbecue Festival in Lexington, NC at the end of October! It rocks!! whee In NC they are very serious about their BBQ. Lexington is where most all of the best-Western-Style BBQ cooks learned their stuff! So it's sorta like BBQ Mecca or something I guess. The Festival lasts just one day, from about 10am to 6pm--but they can get over 200,000 people crammed onto their main street in those 8 hours! biggrin All kinds of good food, music, arts & crafts, & of course lots of BBQ! Next best thing to the NC State Fair! heart

Besides I've got classes in the fall. I don't think my teacher would apriciate me going on a trip that long just to eat BBQ. Especialy when I'd have to take the train or a bus or something. A two or three day trip up and then a two or three day trip back. Yeah.. they would kill me.

Diet?!? ARRGH!
I tried that once. The lack of chocolate made me so grouchy my friends stuffed sweets down my throat until I gave in and promised to eat normally again. Happy I am now.
Not that I recommend eating lots of sweets. But I maintain that you need a minimum amount of chocolate in your diet to survive.
Unless you don't like chocolate. In which case you should leave it for the rest of us.
I forgot my favourite thing in the world: MANGO!
