I have been gone for 4-5 months from Gaia, and before that, I was really active in AoH. But ever since Paladin left, things have gotten less spiritual and more worldly. I left, and hoped to come back to a better place. But I found this instead.
I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but this place is a mess. I understand, maybe we should have an LDS place to talk and hang out. But what about us that need spirtual support, or have something really good to say? I had put up a few threads of those, and somebody would say something slightly off subject and we would be gone from there.
I also tried to get all of the LDS guilds together, but nobody seemed interested in participating. I really see no reason to come here, because all that I get out of here I could get out of the chatterbox. Does anybody else feel this way, or is Alex just a strange little kid? sad

No, I understand completely, and as a moderator I am responsible. But, I am afraid I'm not too sure how to make it like Paladin had it. I can't make people post, or comment or help others. I can manage the threads and keep them ontopic but that's about it in that regard. What do you suggest be done?

To tell you the truth, I don't find the guild to be heading down a wrong path. I always felt that the guild was a place where we could meet others with our same beliefs, socialize, and discuss about spiritual and worldy things in an enviroment with high standards.

Maybe a more spiritually-oriented subforum would address the issue? That would mean there would be a place for regular chatting (and I can't tell you how nice it is to have place to do that free of offensive posts and sigs) and another place for spiritual discussions/help.

i dont come to this guild for spiritual stuff and stuff like that....if i wanted that i'd read my scriptures....i come here because i enjoy talking to other youth and stuff of the church because the only people like that i talk to in real life are my best friend and my cousin...and my cousin gets real annoying quickly....so that sorta leaves me with just my best friend(not that i'm saying she's boring...i loves her more than anything) but yeah i just enjoy talking to people in here....if you want to talk about something spiritual, make a topic and see what happens...

Look, I know its not like Paladin had it. You think that its easy to keep up with how he had things? As for how things are now, it wasn't to be strictly spiritual, its a place that we can hang out and know that things aren't at all like the chatterbox. Its safe, its clean and its fun. True, some topics get off the subject but what can we do. As for those needing help, we have a life issues guild for LDS specifically.

If you have suggestions on making things better instead of just complaints please pm me or CA and we will talk on how to make things better. The LDS life issues is not a busy guild but is there for those of us with certain issues. IF they need to be talked about they can be made here but people don't always know how to respond.
By the way CA is the life issues account still working?

I really don't think this place is all thet much like the chatterbox. Sure we have alot of random people in here that talk a lot *looks to side* me for one, but we're also trying to keep the guild alive. Every topic doesn't have to be spiritual. I come here because it far cleaner than any of the other forums and I know the people here. I avoid the R&M place now and even rarely go to the HP and Anime forums, the places that origonally had me going on Gaia alot. I'm glad I can talk to people who I don't have to fight over morals now. It urked me to no end before. Now I'm just glad I'm able to talk freemy without wanting to correct someone's poor use of english every five seconds. I think there's another guild specifically for spiritual topics, isn't there? This one's more of a get-to-know-people one, same with maddhatter's LDS guild. There's one to discuss personal problems too, and two other off shoots so this isn't strictly a hang out one. One for anime/manga/japanese gamers and another for specific Rping. had we kept that discussion in here, we would have had alot more chatter and alot less seriousness.

Well, I don't think this place is a dump. If it was, you'd see fifty-gazillion asterisks and and bunch of people wanting online immorality.
AoH is still a safe-haven! It's my online Stake Center! (Not saying temple for fearing that would be a bit sacreligious....)

Well, here are the threads I don't think belong. Please understand, I'M not trying to be a problem. It's just that....I dunno, I think I'm just dumb. Anyways:
Advice request for Anime. Whats your Zodiac sign? Nintendo, Wii, Xbox 360, or PS3?? Kingdom Hearts II Nintendo Wii (ugh) Ahoy al you hockey fans. Get ready for the playoffs eh?
There are a few others, but these just seem to be chatterbox stuff...

Possibly/probably. Thing is, we already have a zillion LDS guilds and I do believe I am a member in all of them. It's hard for me to keep track of it all. I vote we just make a sub-forum. As for the "chatting" threads maybe a different subforum for them as well?
