I know it's hard. Especially when you see how innocent animals are being harmed just in the name of profit. And even then, the cruelty can never be justified. I've seen the clip and to be frank, it's one of the most horrible thing I've seen.

Basically, what I believe is that what you're feeling is a reflex or a gut reaction to the clip. Instead of just being angry in your room, I'd think there are more ways where you can spend that drive, like volunteering for PETA and such... The anger you're feeling will cloud your judgement, and spend your mental energy in unfavourble ways. that's why you may feel drained mentally after having a fit over some thing.

Well, I just think maybe you should meditate on the emotions you're feeling right now... Instead of trying to clear your mind of thoughts, try to understand where the anger comes from. When you've identified the source of the anger, try understanding the nature of the suffering the animals are going through. When you've gathered your thoughts, you can utilise the anger in a more compassionate manner. 3nodding For more relevant advice on this try looking up "taming the monkey mind"

Hope it helps...

Oh my god. I feel like im going to be sick. I couldent watch it all.. I stoped watching once they pulled the second animal out of the cage. I had no idea they skinned animals that way. Why wouldent they put it out of its misery first? Thats so sick crying
Im not buddhist .. or a vegitarian (please nobody yell at me) but I dont understand why anything should have to be put through that amount of pain. I always thought that they did it quickly. Does anyone know what country that clip was from? Do they do it the same way in america and canada?
Even though I feel really sick now im kind of glad I know now..

I want to be a good buddist too... >_< And it's not good to hate...but I'm not afraid to say
"I HATE fur farms and anyone who is willing to work at one deserves to..." and I have to stop my quote there. How can they do that!? The things that work at those places...they aren't people...no person could work at a place as that and sleep at night if they are actually human.
I'm so young. I really have to learn more.

"In a past life an that innocent animal could have once been your mother"

Very good advice given by snow_lotus. It's not worth anything to waste all your energy getting angry... It would be better spent toward positive action.
It's hard not to be disturbed by the cruelty human beings are capable of. PETA, although sometimes a bit extreme, definitely has the right idea in their attempts to give the helpless creatures a voice. Lots of the videos are real eye openers, but some are tough to watch.. "Meet Your Meat" for example. Better to know than to be in the dark, though.

My only problem here is that this comes from a terrifically biased source - PETA - who are well known for skewing things to suit their needs. My main question here is do we have any non-activist sites that will corroborate this video? I'd like to see more evidence of this being normal - or even legally allowed, given how terrifically cruel it is - in "fur farms". After all, did not the Buddha himself ask us to question everything rather than take it all at face value and believe it for what it was immediately?

googling around, I found this website which has quite a few links that send you to certain websites that work with communities regarding the ethical treatment of animals... Maybe this could help...
Animal Concerns Community

but I can't agree more with Byaggha... PETA's tactics just don't sit well with me as sometimes their actions can seem a little too extreme... For me, moderation is the key 3nodding You can always start with vegetarianism and stop using animal-based products or those tested on animals...
