If a true to the book movie of POTO was made who would you want to be casted in it (yes I do know that the Lon Chaney version is pretty true to the book)
Erik- Johnny Depp (no, I'm not just some Johnny Depp junkie. I can actually see him as a great Erik)
Raoul- Jude Law or Billy Crudup
the Persian- Hank Azaria
Christine- Christina Ricci
Meg- Kristen Chenowith
Madame Giry- Cate Blanchet (sp?)
Carlotta- Claire Danes
M. Richard (aka Firmin)- Trey Parker
M. Moncharmin (aka Andre)- Matt Stone
Phillippe- Sam Rockwell, Pierce Brossnan, or Gerard Butler

Yes, eek is right. I was kind of going for creative (well other than Johnny Depp) rather than casting Anne Hathaway as Christine, Jennifer Love Hewitt as Carlotta and so on ^^
Honestly, I can see Gerard Butler as Phillippe ^^

actaully for the 'new' movie... John Travolta and Antonio Bandaraz were both considered for the role of the Phantom... but Gerard got the role O_o; *shrugs*
I personally love Travolta, he's awesome lol... I think he's more age-realistic to the phantom then Gerard... sweatdrop
(I think gerard looks like a young john travolta from greese ninja )

Deadly Lullaby actaully for the 'new' movie... John Travolta and Antonio Bandaraz were both considered for the role of the Phantom... but Gerard got the role O_o; *shrugs*

(I think gerard looks like a young john travolta from greese ninja ) I heard about that ^^ I also heard that JT is being considered for the role of Edna in a movie version of the Hairspray musical.

His voice is captivating.... mmm simply divine.... although theres a few notes in the soundtrack of where he sings that make me cringe 0.<
the fact that he's a bass singing a tender part doesn't help lmao....
I would have just liked to of seen John Travolta as the Phantom too... I think he would have done an excellent job... JT does amazing evil characters... and he was a smexy boy in Greese (even though I don't like that movie... just JT!)......
