Expanding the Family
One of the main goals is to expand the family, of course. There always an updated list of what the family wants located in my journal, here. However, this page serves to house a more detailed explanation of who, how, and why. If you poked your nose into my journal, then you already know that all the questing for cats are cosplays.
Our current goal (most upated in my quest thread) is listed below. This isn't all of the gold I have on-hand, as I have other things I'm also questing for, but is all the gold I have dedicated to these ruffians. The total could be a little off, depending on if I want extras added. The total also doesn't include any gold presently being used to get another cat, or the cats under the considering section.
Goal: 0k/90k
Gojun from Saiyuki Gaiden Homura from Saiyuki Kami-sama from Saiyuki Reload Dokugakuji from Saiyuki Aoyagi Ritsuka from Loveless Agastuma Soubi from Loveless Natsuo from Loveless Youji from Loveless Kaido Kio from Loveless
Boys Being Considered Ukoku from Saiyuki OR Ken'yuu from Saiyuki Nataku from Saiyuki Kenren from Saiyuki Gaiden Seiten-Taishi from Saiyuki Demon Hakkai from Saiyuki Aoyagi Seimei from Loveless Ritsu-sensei from Loveless Nisei from Loveless
We really appreciate it if you don't steal our quest from us. ^.^;

Members of the Gang
Name: Sha Gojyo Gender: Male Type: Cosplay Character Base: Sha Gojyo from Saiyuki by Kazuya Minekura Personality: He certainly considers himself the playboy of the bunch, and is the most apt to strike up a joke - or crack one at someone else's expense. Despite this, he's really a nice guy. Or at least that's what we think. Relationships Within the Gang: Kougaiji seems to be the one that laughs with his jokes the most often and is most often the butt of them, and Hakkai certainly tolerates him at the very least. Sanzo, however, has obvious issues with Gojyo's attitude that he sometimes expresses with physical aggression. On the brighter side, Gojyo can usually weasle his way out of any trouble he gets into. Goku and he tend to play around a fair amount with each other, and he's very companion-like towards the odd-ball Mikhail. Relationships Outside of the Gang: None

Name: Kougaiji Gender: Male Type: Cosplay Character Base: Lord Kougaiji from Saiyuki by Kazuya Minekura Personality: He tends to be laid-back, but can get rather stand-offish if someone touches off a nerve. He's also teh most possessive of his friendships out of everyone. Relationships Within the Gang: Kou consideres Gojyo his closest friend, despite being the brunt of jokes at times. Sanzo downright doesn't like him, and although Hakkai tolerates him it's a very stressed relationship. Goku seems to look up to Kougaiji at times, but Kou sees the younger-acting fluffy cat as a bit of a nuisance. He's a little wary of Mikhail under the best of circumstances. Relationships Outside of the Gang: None

Name: Genjo Sanzo Gender: Male Type: Cosplay Character Base: Genjo Sanzo from Saiyuki by Kazuya Minekura Personality: Stand-offish doesn't even begin to describe Sanzo. He can be rude, to-the-point, and easily annoyed. And at the same time these boys still find the need to stick to their friend, as he does have the habit of coming through in the end for them. Relationships Within the Gang: Outwardly, he barely tolerates Gojyo and Hakkai, and despises Kou. But he looks after the boys as if they were, well, brothers. He didn't object to Mikhail coming to live with them, afterall, and seems to have his on and off days with Nii. Relationships Outside of the Gang: None

Name: Cho Hakkai Gender: Male Type: Cosplay Character Base: Cho Hakkai from Saiyuki by Kazuya Minekura Personality: Ever-smiling Hakkai appears to be easiest to get along with, but he has his boundaries and makes it very clear if someone steps over them. He's a bit of a mother-hen at times, and that does include washing people's mouths out with soap. Relationships Within the Gang: Amiable Hakkai is perhaps the closest one to Sanzo, and is good friends with Gojyo. He tries to be as king as possible towards Kougaiji, but the other's uneasiness seems to make him a little nervous at times. He looks after Goku like he was his own son at times, and extended a warm welcome to Mikhail with his odd arrival. Relationships Outside of the Gang: None

Name: Nii Jienyi Gender: Male Type: Cosplay Character Base: Nii Jienyi from Saiyuki by Kazuya Minekua Personality: Twisted, perverted, and downright demented are some of the words that the others describe Jienyi with, but despite these things he's a highly intelligent cat and does have a strong sense of... erm... self? Relationships Within the Gang: He's stand-offish with Kougaiji, and enjoys picking on Sanzo all the time. He gets along best with Hakkai, and the two of them enjoy some of the more complex exchanges about the meaning of life. He seems to just ignore Goku most of the time, but there are occasions when he's been particularly annoying towards the younger one. Around Mikhail, he treats him as one of the family and nothing more. Relationships Outside of the Gang: None

Name: Son Goku Gender: Male Type: Cosplay Character Base: Son Goku from Saiyuki by Kazuya Minekura Personality: Happy-go-lucky, energetic, and friendly. Goku also tends to be very loyal to his friends, to the extent of sometimes acting like a lost puppy and getting on people's nerves. His biggest love in life, beyond life itself, would have to be food. He could be considered pretty boyish because of this characteristic, but it doesn't seem to bother him very much at all. Relationships Within the Gang: He really respects Hakkai and adores Sanzo, and him and Gojyo get along as if they were two quarreling brothers. Nii tends to creep him out most of the time, but he does respect the other cat. He tries to be very nice towards Kougaiji, but the other doesn't seem to exactly enjoy his companionship. Goku sees Mikhail as just another brother in the family, even if he's a little bit odd. Relationships Outside of the Gang: None

Name: Mikhail Gender: Male Type: Regular Flatsale Base: Gothic Aristocrat (who wants to be female XP ) Personality: Outgoing, friendly, charming, and, well, completely flaming at times. Mikhail is considered the oddball even in this group becuase of his unique quirkiness. He even comes off as being rather flirtacious at times, in, well, both directions. Relationships Within the Gang: Gojyo seems unfazed by Mikhail's rather quirky personality, and enjoys his company at times. His flirtacious side seems to get on Sanzo and Kougaiji's nerves, but Hakkai is decently tolerant of him. He looks at Goku as a younger brother to protect and look after, and he enjoys conversations with Jieni. Relationships Outside of the Gang: Mikhail met Ixchlivn in the forest near a stream one day. He views the other as being a little comical and clumsy, but doesn't know more about him beyond that.

Journal - The Arrival of Mikhail ((Due to the length of this and it being an internal role-play/journal, the individual colors of the boys will not be used.))
The morning had started off crisp and bright, but by the time it was midday, dark clouds had begun to form in the sky overhead. Noting the weather, the boys had more or less unanimously decided that it was in their best interest to stay put in their tree house home. Gojyo and Goku were lounging on a weaved grass mat in the middle of the floor, absently playing checkers with colored stones. Hakkai had a book open in front of him, but his attention was more on the game of checkers than the words on the pages. Sanzo was curled up under the window with his tail over his nose, napping lightly. Kougaiji, like Sanzo, was fast asleep in a bed of blankets and pillows. Jienyi was laying beside the bookshelf, his ears pricked forward with interest to his own reading as his tail flicked from side to side on occasion.
It wasn't long before the clouds had thickened enough to cause lapses of thunder in the distance. Every time the sky grumbled, the fur along Goku's ruff rose anxiously. With each passing moment, it was more and more clear that the young adult was not comfortable with thunderstorms. Apparent enough that Gojyo had to start picking on him.
"What'cher problem, squirt? You're startin' to look like a porcupine." Gojyo grinned around his snicker, batting a paw at the disgruntled cat in front of him. Goku bristled further at the comment, scowling. "I'm not a squirt! And I'm not a porcupine either!"
Nii glanced up from his book, blinking at the pair blankly. From his bed, Kougaiji kicked his hind feet out a bit as if he was trying to throw something off of him. Hakkai quirked an eyebrow, sighing. "If you two are going to fight, take it outside. You'll wake up Sanzo and Kou."
Goku's ears flickered back and down in embarassment, and he did his best to sink into the mat he was seated on. The last thing he wanted to do was to wake those two up from their naps - there could be no doubt they'd be angry. The red-haired fluffy cat, on the other hand, merely snickered all the harder. He'd greatly enjoy waking those two up.
Gojyo's opportunity to do so, however, quickly faded as lightning crackled nearby. Kougaiji bolted awake, his tail fur standing out on end and his eyes wide as if he'd been struck by the strike and not some spot of ground outside. Sanzo grumpily opened one eye, glaring at nothing and everything for having disturbed his sleep. Even as Gojyo burst into sporadic laughter from the look of sheer horror on Kou's face, a downpour started up outside that quickly made leaving the house something that not even the red-faced-with-embarassment Kou wanted to do.
"Shuddup!" Kougaiji hissed, clamboring a bit stiff-leggedly out of his bed as the fur on his back rose. Goku took one look at the enraged cat, ducked his ears down and back, and skittered away to a safer place beside Hakkai and his book. Gojyo pulled himself off the floor from where he had been laughing and into a sitting position with his tail curled over his front paws, a grin on his face. "And I suppose yer gonna make me?"
"Children, please," Hakkai laughed around as he spoke, but his eyes were serious despite his smile. The last thing they needed was to turn the house inside out in a childish display of their inability to compromise. One of Gojyo's ears flicked back and down, but the smile was gone from his face. Kougaiji still glared at the red-haired fluffy cat with spite, but he settled into a sitting position regardless of that, huffing slightly with indignation before raising a paw to start grooming. Through the whole little exchange, Jienyi had not even glanced up more than once. The very tip of his tail flicked a bit beside him now and again - the only thing suggesting he wasn't asleep.
Goku settled into a more comfortable position beside Hakkai, peering over his shoulder on occasion to try and follow along in the book. Kougaiji and Gojyo continued to pass each other looks, but neither dared to openly confront the other with Sanzo wide awake and already in a foul mood. Crossing him usually meant a rather bad smack to one's face, and that just wasn't something that they wanted to risk.
The storm had been going on for nearly half an hour when something odd could be heard from outside their home. It sounded as if something had just crash-landed on their suspended deck outside. Goku's ears pricked up, and he hunkered a bit closer to Hakkai. The older cat looked towards the window the house, wondering if it had perhaps been a tree branch that had come down. Gojyo, curiosity spiked, rose and moved to the window to peer out into the darkness.
"All I see is rain and more rain. Nuthin'." Taking his front paws off the windowsill, he flicked her ears and glanced over his shoulder at the others. Sanzo was glaring up at him from his place under the window, looking as if he was contemplating the best way to skin the other. "Ehehe..." The red-headed fluffy darted back towards the center of the room, tail edging on bottle-brushed.
"Are you sure it wasn't a branch that fell?" Hakkai insisted on asking the question, looking towards Gojyo and then the window curiously. "Yeah, there wasn't anything out there." Gojyo shrugged, yawning and bit out of his own boredom. Nothing ever happened when it rained, they were just stuck inside for a few hours until it all passed. Of course, this storm was going to bring them more than rain.
A few minutes passed by without any more odd interuptions from outside, during which time both Hakkai and Nii continued their reading. Gojyo had rolled over onto his back to stare at the ceiling, ignoring both Sanzo and Kougaiji as they glared at him, and Goku was curled up beside Hakkai beginning to doze off. There was another sound of something on the deck, and this time it didn't let up.
Goku's eyes snapped open and locked on the front door, Gojyo lazily rolled onto his side to stare in the same general direction; even Sanzo canted his ears back and turned his head. "Who in the world?" Hakkai's voice trailed off as he got to his four paws and headed for the door. Kougaiji got to his feet, his tail poofed slightly from the combination of the events previously and the insistant noise on their front door.
Hakkai opened the door awkwardly with his front paws, using his wings to keep him off the ground long enough to do so. They usually only closed the darn thing when it rained and to keep the cold out at night. And there, standing on their door step, was a very bedraggled-looking stranger. He was wearing a red coat and black pants, and his cat was clutched in his mouth. His white-grey fur was plastered to him and dripping with rain water. Hakkai didn't even ask who he was, merely stepped aside and motioned him to get in.
Gojyo sat up to blink at the stranger, an ear canting to the side with curiosity. Goku, too, had his ears p***k forward and sat upright with interest. Sanzo continued to glower; Hakkai's 'guest' was getting their living quarters soaked. Kougaiji looked on with a certain amount of hesitation, and Jienyi never did glance up from his book.
"I'm very sorry for the intrusion, but I got caught out in this storm and blown rather off-course." He wrung his hat as he spoke, dumping even more water onto the floor. Hakkai grimaced, and Gojyo chuckled.
"Oh, please, don't worry about it," Hakkai looked over towards Goku, dipping his head a bit as he spoke, "Can you fetch some towels for me, Goku?" The youngest got to his feet and headed off to find what he had been asked of.
"Uhm, well, I'm Hakkai, and that was Goku that just went off. Jienyi's by the bookshelf, Sanzo's under the window, Kougaiji's over there, and that would be Gojyo." He got through his own introductions, trying his best to be polite to the odd one that was now sitting in their home.
"Ah, yes, sorry - my name is Mikhail." He bowed as he said his name, inclining his head with good manners. "And I'm awfully sorry about your floor."
Goku bounded back into the room, a towel clutched in his mouth. He handed it off to Mikhail, tail waving a bit behind him. "It's nice to meet you, Mikhail! Are you gonna be stayin' with us?" The young cat offered a grin, looking from Mikhail to Sanzo briefly. From the corner, Sanzo huffed and laid his head back down with his tail over his nose. He wanted no part of this.
"Well I wouldn't want to impose..."
"Don't be silly. It's pouring outside, and we have plenty of room. You'll be staying for at least the night." Hakkai cut in on Mikhail, nodding self-assuredly. It was common sense and common courtesy, afterall.
"Heck yah, there's no reason to go tromping back out there." Gojyo grinned, strutting over and clapping the soggy stranger on the shoulder in a friendly gesture. Mikhail nearly stumbled a bit, but offered a small smile back to the red-haired cat.
In the morning, it was decided by a minority that as Mikhail had no place to go to, he would be staying. Or rather, it was a whiney cat-monkey that got his way with things for having the bad habit of taking in things that didn't have a home.
