I, for one, am ready to literally strangle the members of the CBC team who show Doctor Who. Not only do they fill up the airwaves with endless hockey (no offense for hockey fans), but I heard they won't be showing the new season of Doctor Who until the Fall! No fair! I wanna see the new season!
We could always flood the site with e-mails or stage a protest in Ottawa...although it wouldn't do much...Comments, anyone?

I'm a Canadian fan too and yes it is a bit frustrating, but I just keep telling myself that it's good that CBC is at least showing it at all. I'm just downloading the episodes as they come now and then when they air in the Fall I'll show my support for CBC deciding to air the episodes and watch them all again on TV! whee
I mean, hey, it's not as bad as in the States where they're only getting to see Nine now.

For the world cup if there's a match on during Dr Who (which I highly doubt) They'd move the game to ITV so no worries!

[Sorry for bumping up such an old topic]
It has come to my attention that the show is now on CBC, as I taped The Long Game last Wednesday, and this upcoming Tuesday at 12, CBC will be showing Father's Day. I presume they are then going in order, and I missed the first few episodes (Luckily, I've seen them, or I would've been upset!) >.< .
So yes, the Doctor is now in Canada for all to enjoy =D

Yep, I know. I was watching them up until I got the boxset, but I may tune in and see 'The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances" because Jack first appears in them ( biggrin ) and they are my favorite two epiosdes. CBC will be showing Doctor Who in the fall, but no airing date is confirmed. You can see a couple clips of the new series in the new commercial that shows bits of new series starting in the fall.
Hopefully it will be on at a reasonable time, becuase I have school. Midnight for me (11:00 PM EST) is not a good time...

Oh yeah, I want the box set so badly x3 Father's Day is my favorite episode so far, so it being on next week makes me happy, although I've only seen up to The Doctor Dances, I have yet to see Boom Town D= . Heh, 12 is a little late for just about anyone on a weekday, thus I set up the VCR and tape the episodes so I can watch them the next day... and then I also have every episode on tape in the end =)
I'll have to watch out for the new season and Torchwood <3

Our VCR doesn't have the ability to tape stuff at a certain time, so that option was out. I got the boxset as a birthday gift, so I was really happy. Boom Town is awesome! Creepy, but awesome.
I really hope Torchwood is coming to CBC; if not I'm getting someone to order in the boxset for me. I'm a huge Jack Harkness fan, so I'm really excited that he is getting his own spin-off. Although I still say his best haircut is the 1940's style he had in Boom Town and The Doctor Dances...
Edit: Series Two of Doctor Who premieres Monday, Oct 9 (Thanksgiving Monday) at 8:00pm EST.
YAY!
