Jazz walked along the beach and found herself walking by the creek. She sang softly to herself as she walked. It was a nice day and she was enjoying herself. She wondered if she would meet the demon from the HQ again. He seemed nice.
Jazz then tossed a rock into the water to watch it ripple. She giggled to herself as she sat down. The elder took off her boots and placed her feet in the water.

eek "WHOAH! STOP!!!" On came Raken, clinging desperatly onto the back of what looked like a giant black form of a bear. "Oh no. LOOK OUT JAZZ!" The bear ran right at her. Then it dug in it's heels a foot away, jerking the pae off of it's back. He flew right into the elder. @____@ "bad...shadow...bear...." He made it dissapear.

Jazz heard someone and looked around. She then saw it. A shadow bear with Raken on it's back. This was shocking and interesting to Jazz. She flapped her wings to try and fly out of the way, but it was too late Raken already landed on her.
"Oh, hello. What was that?" She asked him with a nod. "You're okay?"

With a small grunt he rolled off and sat down, rubbing his head. "Shadow bear. That's my power. I can pull the shadows around me to make creatures for short periods of time. The only problem...they have a mind of their own and so I have to win their respect. I'm sorry. And I'm fine. You?" He let out a tiny sigh. It looked like he would have to start all over again.

Jazz put her boots back on. "I'm unharmed. Only a bit more wet then I was thinking about getting." Jazz giggled. "Really? That's an interesting power." She had met another shadow controler, but he was different and his shadows were different. "So, they are almost like real animals then, just made of shadow?"

"More like annoying." raken muttered under his breath, recalling all the other tasks he had preformed in the past. "They are. How I they seem to have a mind of their own is beyond me. They also understand every word you tell them. They just don't listen until I do their stupid task..." he dwindled off, a light blush seeping across his face. Well he was being talketive today! What ever happened to his cold nods and tiny responses? The demonic pae blamed the fall.

Jazz smiled and nodded. "If you create them you would think they would listen to you. Maybe that's just something you need to work on?" Jazz shurgged as she wasn't really sure. All powers worked differently in everyone. "I just have telekensis and astral projections."

He shrugged lightly, embarrassment creeping in at her implying that he needed work on his training. Raken thought that he wasn't doing THAT bad. "maybe. The only other logical thing I guess is that it's an animal trait. Sort of like who is the dominate race. So I have to win their task to earn their respect and knowlege that I'm the dominate one." sweatdrop Of course I may just be thinking that to cover up that I may possibly be a complete failure. "And telekensis and astral projections sound better then my shadow animals. At least they don't try to attack you.

"That sounds right to me. It just shows that they are real animals in shadow form, not just a shadow illusion." Jazz nodded.
"Thanks. Though, I get ver weak from astral projection and anyone or anything could do something to my body and I wouldn't know it." Jazz hadn't really thought abut that weakness before, but it was there.

He frowned slightly at that, not exactly liking the thought of her getting hurt. It was alright if he got hurt, Tartara had plenty of her herbal medicines, but not anyone else. It made no sense for others to be harmed. At least, that's what he thought. "Do you at least have a spotter around when you try to use your power?"

Jazz shook her head. "Nah, I don't do it often as I get so weak, but when I do I never thought to have someone around. Though, I am around Hula Bob and Jet often." She nodded her head. Why hadn't she thought about it before.

He shrugged lightly, a touch embarrased. "I don't really know what one can do. Normally I just read, train with my power or check to see if my siblings are unharmed..." Raken trailed off slightly, realizing that he just sounded like some sort of protective freak. sweatdrop This was PRECISLY why he stuck to books and training. Maybe I should just leave before things get even worse." He was already forming a ball of darkness within himself.

Jazz smiled. "That is always good. I know Jet is with Hula Bob or Wednesday, so I know he is safe. I try not to worry about him too much as he doesn't like it. Just with being blind it is hard for me not to worry."
Jazz shook the dirt from her clothes and clapped her hands. "Well, I don't normally go many places. I mainly stay at the beach as I work at Hula Bob's Bar and Grill. As a waitress and a singer in 'Jazz and the Beach Bums'. Are you sure you dont' want to go somewhere new? It'd be an adventure?" Jazz needed more of those.
