She twitched an ear, and slowly got up, away from the warmth of Miakoda and her father. It was time to explore her world, again. Her world, the night. She considered it very special to her, as she had met a very special stallion who was close to her heart, though he knew it not. Dread of Night would probably never know unless he picked up the signs, but tonight, she was going to re-enter her world with fresh eyes anew, and she was by herself, too.
Not that it was much of a bonus (she did prefer the company of at least one other Soquili), but she loved her alone time when she could get it. As she sneaked away under the moonlit sky, littered with stars, she paused a minute, and turned to stare at her home. A teepee, made by a human. How it housed both her and her father, along with their bonded, was a mystery. Shrugging off her thoughts, she cleared her mind, and took off at a canter, enjoying the gentle exercise. It was about time she had a little bit of her quiet time.

Rahu was off for a walk under the moon light sky, which caused his dark black coat to glow a dark red. giving a small snort he had been having too much on his mind lately and it was all that Aruna's fault. after there last meeting it left him questioning this and second guessing. shaking his head, he was not about to let his emontions run wild like he accedently had happen when he saw Firefly that one night. it would only be too soon if he saw Aruna again, and he sure hoped if he did she her that he could control himself.

As Aruna wandered around, Rahu suddenly came into her thoughts. She frowned. That last meeting they had had left her questioning her hormones. She felt attracted to Dread of Night, and she had denied it at first, but Rahu was a whole other story. Not only did he annoy her and get under her skin, but he'd intrigue her as a mystery beyond solving.
She was fairly sure, that, as she continued her walk, she was very unattracted to Rahu. Under the moon, she suddenly spotted a dark red colored stallion. He seemed familiar to her, but she brushed that aside, and approached the stallion. She said nothing, but watched him. He seemed to be restless, deep in thought. As she scented the air, her eyes widened. No, she couldn't be right.
...But it was.
...It was him.
Rahu.

Rahu was so deep in his thoughts when suddenly he caught sight of the one soquili he wished not to see....... but she was right there. shaking his head he thought it might be a trick his mind was playing but know she was still there standign right infront of him. a deep frown was on his face and was going to let her talk first so he could hide his emotions and not let them over rule him.

Aruna blinked. Rahu always spoke after she did. A staring contest? No, she decided. She'd speak first, then. "...Hello, Rahu," she whispered, golden eyes nearly glowing under the stars' light. "...It's... been a long time." It truly had been. The last time Aruna had seen Rahu had been near a stream.
It was during the day, a time when she was most guarded, and uncomfortable. Under the blanket of the night, she felt her emotions coil around her and control her actions. She still held them in tight reign, however, because Rahu was here. She didn't need him to see her confusion and frustration.

Rahu stared at her for a moment. he was caught a little off guard with he acting so different then normal. " yeah and what of it. it seems to me it was not long enough. " he gave a snort and a flick of his tail. it had been a long time, though he had rather to not see her again after there last meeting. keeping his graud up he wondered why it seemed she was being so different. there was nothing different from there other meetings ecept it was night. he wondered if she was les on guard at night. " and why are you out so late at night, i never known you to be out late." flicking his ears about, he was still on edge and need to try to calm down.

Aruna didn't flinch. She just let his words wash over her, and then she turned to stare at the moon. "I actually appear more at night, than during the day," she said quietly. "The night is... my world, so to speak." She wondered, by Rahu's tight tone, if she'd caught him off guard with her personality. This was her true personality; it came out only at night. She wasn't a biting, insulting mare as he was used to. "You seem troubled. Care to share?" She looked back at him. "If you don't want to, it's fine. But know that it's better to release your problems then to keep them locked up."

Rahu eyed her for a few moments. was this her true personality? he thought to himself or was she doing this just to annoye him. " i surpised to hear that one, since im usualy out and about mostly at nite and rarly walk around during the day. " he gave a snort and gave a glare at her. " who would i share anthing with the likes of you. i would think by now you would know i dont tell anything to anyone." this different personality of her's was agravating him to know end. he much prefured when she agrued with him cause then he had a way of leting this fustration out but now with her actign this way, how could he? shaking his head he was even more on edge.

Aruna's expression didn't change, but the way Rahu was acting nearly made her snap. "Well, I'm sorry you like to keep to yourself," she answered softly, but angrily. "If anything, you should probably just go off somewhere completely alone, where no one will find you, or... or..." she was at a loss of words. She suddenly felt guilty for saying that to him, but he just got so frustrating, and in the end, her usual calm personality just vanished. "...I don't know you at all, Rahu," she said, sighing. "Not even enough to know that you don't tell anything to anyone. I don't know you at all," she repeated, quietly, sadly.

Rahu just stood there for a moment a shook his head. "i have actualy been thinking of doing that. i regret the day i ever came to this place." he then eyed her for a moment and snorted. "theres a reason for that. if i let anyone close then........" stoping his sentance right there, he shook his head again. almost having said something from his past, he cursed himself in his mind. he was not about to slip up and tell her a darn thing. " nevermind, its none of your concern. its not like you care anyways. " flicking his tail, he pondered just walking off and not ever come back.

"You don't want anyone close to you..." Aruna whispered, and stepped away slightly. "Do you really like being alone? Do you hate having a companion, a friend, or company in general?" She closed her eyes, and snorted angrily. "I don't believe it. If it has something to do with your past, get over it. I can't say anything much, because I know I proabably had a better life than you, but I still grew. I'm sure I'm wiser than you, however, because you still act like a colt who doesn't ever get his way."
She opened her eyes and glared at him coldly. "I never once asked to know you or become your friend. And yet, you are still considered a friend to me." She gasped softly, and her eyes flickered with an unknown emotion. She paused a long moment, and then said, "I don't regret what I said. Even though you hate the thought, even though you will most likely hate me forever--which I'd prefer, actually--I still consider you a friend... An unusual one, yes, and yes, I know, I am a strange one. I've always been... strange." Her expression remained neutral as she turned to look at the moon once more.

Rahu's eyes glowed red in angre. " yes i actualy do. adn im not going to explain my past to you, you whould never understand." he snorted and flicked his tail. " why would you of all, conceder me a friend! i never asked for that. yes you are strange, and yet again you make me question myself ... my believes that i have had since i was a colt! " shaking his head, he was really geting annoyed. " i truely regret the day i ever met you. if it had not been for you i would be fine now" he mumbled to himself and looked away from her.

"What did I do?!" She cried angrily. Her quiet time had been complete disrupted. "If you like... If you like your alone time... then... then..." she glowered at him, golden eyes the burning heat of the sun. "Why I consider you a friend, I don't know myself! I just do! You weren't even supposed to know I considered you one!" She stomped her one of her front hooves, frustrated. "You're one of very few horses to see my true self!"
She whirled away from staring at the moon, and turned her glower on him. "You're very lucky I'm not one to fight physically. I'm sure you could use an outlet somewhere, to let that tight seal on your mind break and just let your stress flow away. But of course, you're so stubborn, so secretive, and so cold to even care about yourself! You're so selfish that you're hurting yourself!" She walked until they were nearly nose to nose. "What is wrong with you? I just asked if you were okay, and all I wanted was a 'yes' or a 'no'!"

Rahu's eyes grew bright red with rage adn his nose flared. staring her strat in her eyes for a few moments. " what makes you care so much about me, why do you even bother even doing such a thing. we both hate eacher other why do you care if im hurting myself, by keeping to myself." still staring right into her eye's, he was almost trembling in rage. " and questions only lead to more, i will no discuess my problems with the likes of you or anyone else for that matter. " intruth his problem was that he had, had her on his mind since the last he saw her and had been questioning his ownself and everything he believed in. giving a snort he turned away from her.

"So, I was right!" She said, slightly in triumph as he turned away. "You don't have to discuss matters! And it's not my you keep galloping into my mind when I don't expect it!" Aruna didn't know it, but she had the same problems as Rahu. At random times, the dark stallion would come unbidden into her mind. She didn't know why. Yes, he was a mystery, and yes, she had contemplated him before, but never for so long. Ever since they had last met, he was always on her thoughts. She had tried to think of the others she'd met, but still, Rahu still popped into her mind.
