Indeed, in this world where age-old monsters roam free, there is no room for you to try to slay a great wyvern. You must either slay it or not, and if the latter you must either return dead, or alive. Hopefully you'll come back alive for this world is in need of monster hunters - good or bad ones; someone has to keep even the weakest of monsters stable in their numbers.
>Setting
It is mainly based around a thick and dense jungle, almost of tropical temperatures - it varies from the season. Once there was even snow. Inside this dense jungle lays a maze of animal trails and streams, and one wide river and its waterfall.
On the eastern edge of this jungle is a village in which monster hunters are trained. It is a relatively safe haven for budding young adventurers and a good place to stock up on supplies.
To the west is a large stretch of land void of many landmarks, rock formations, merely long grass - looking rather brown in the winter months and, rather yellow anytime else. Storms are likely in this area, lightning and thunder frequent.
To the far south is the rocky terrain of the mountains, rising up from the dense jungle. There is one or two open plateaus within the range of mountains, as well as one too many nests of the flying type of beast.
>Plot
Fairly loose at the moment - meaning I haven't quite decided. I'm open to suggestions on what to do, although I'm reluctant to do another "open-plot" roleplay in which it is only the players that keep the story going.
At the moment it is being built around the good vs evil factor of plot lines, but as I said it is very loosely based.

Okay.. So I only updated the introduction a bit.. xD But... Now I want to play Monster Hunter.
o_o;;
But yes.. Views would be nice. >_o The idea good or bad? Need revising or not? Needs a plot or not? o_o

Some sort of loose plot...idea would be nice though. Doesn't even have to be a real plot, just a vagueish idea thing to get it going.

I like a good vs evil war plot.
Other than a plot it seems like a real good idea. I will join it you make it.

I didn't really want it to develop into an all out war on a huge scale. I have Isyl for that. Oh darn, did I just give away the plot for that? Ah well. Didn't give away much.
This'll be a much more local scale, set only in this jungle and village. Once characters leave it, they move outside the roleplay zone.
I guess the plot would be based on the 'monster' populations and something being out of balance, hence the hiring of monster hunters to cope with this problem.
Any more ideas building on this vague idea of a plot?

yea just open it. It can have a somewhat free plot. Just not a free as the Gaian Role Play.

Hmmm.
I hadn't read this one yet actually :0 Interesting.
It reminds me of this book where there was a special plant on this island (I think it was an island at least) that could restore youth. Kind of typical, but anyways, from time to time they hired harvesters to go across on these big ships to try and get some of the plant. Of course, the island was also where dragons were. This one girl went across just to see the dragons. And she ended up something or other in love, etc, I don't remember.
Anyways.. maybe something happened on the human side. A prophecy or something to make them fear the monsters more. Like a bad thing happened, its solution gets pinned to something the monsters supposedly have in the jungle or something they supposedly caused.. and this happens to coincide with change in population for the monsters. I dunno xD
Or maybe the monsters know of something that's happening or going to happen ninja They've started increased curiousity in humans and what's going on, or more monsters from elsewhere are arriving because of this thing- some other evil at work that most humans aren't aware of. (This is assuming the monsters are to be thought of as having their own kind of society and, for some of them, heightened intelligence. Just thinking of how I usually read dragons, gryphons, etc) Humans of course see this after some prophetic event or catastrophe and think the worst of it.
That's just me brainstorming some stuff xP Dunno if it helps.

Hmm.. I like those ideas and might just borrow them from you. Lol.
I'm going to start hopping to opening it when I can think of a good description and stuff. I'm currently designing a map, or in the process of. Although I want it to look spiffy and my hand drawn ones tend to come out all mangled.
