The lack of dedication from the only real artists on gaia, makes me cry.
There has been less then 1 post per day, on average.
What happened to moral around here?

Happens to all places. I was quite happily surprised to see that this place has been going on for so long.
Saying that there is a problem, doesn't solve a problem. You're better off trying to start conversations with people about their art. When others see something interesting, they'll join it. Slow, but usually it helps the guild to be more active again. And I don't know about you, but I see few people doing something about the idleness (Myself not included, of course).

I don't think it's the depth of the posts that is the problem. I think people just don't bother to leave comments, because... they smell like boiled cabbage because it's hard.
And 'interesting' doesn't make people post. Seeing as there are quite a few interesting topics around, and you chose to post in only this one, I am going to assume it's how simple a thread is that makes people post.
I guess asking for critique is a little complex.

THIS NAME IS NOT SMART I don't think it's the depth of the posts that is the problem. I think people just don't bother to leave comments, because... they smell like boiled cabbage because it's hard. And 'interesting' doesn't make people post. Seeing as there are quite a few interesting topics around, and you chose to post in only this one, I am going to assume it's how simple a thread is that makes people post. I guess asking for critique is a little complex. I lack all social skills and I'm not good in english, so why bother to even try critique someone? I'm not exactly too thrilled to spent half hour to write something just to hear someone bitching at me. I went back to lurking, because that's what I'm good at. Okay. People just don't bother to leave comments. Blaming them about it makes them post. 3nodding

Artists as we are, we don't post our crap here because we all think of this as a place for awesome-only and we just don't consider most of our work awesome. I am trying to combat this by posting my bad art, and I hope people wityh better bad art follow my lead.

I don't really like any of my art. Therefore i dont post much. I dont really have much free time to do art outside of really structured classes. I dont deem those art-f** worthy.

I wouldn't put anything up here which I didn't put alot of work into or I thought was good. Things like that don't come up often for me.
I post on people's work but there isn't very much of it to post on and sometimes I feel like my opinion isn't worth much because I'm not a member.

Yah, it's good that people are saying these things, because you need to be told that you are wrong razz
Doodles, and crap is what this guild needs! And people shouldn't be reluctant to post posts that they want to post. Even hearing "I like that" means somthing... but only beacause you know that a REAL artist is saying so. And thats what seperates this place of the artarena, and Picpost.
Anyhow, thats my 2 cents. Dollars. MONEYS.

Actually I'd like to see more sketches and things like that too. surprised I think it's really interesting to them, because they tell sometimes more than finished work. Kind of where the artist starts the drawing, what kind of lines he makes before inking it and things like that. Sketches are part of learning - and I think this is a guild to learn art. ^^
