But seriously. A thread in the GD made me feel really depressed, because it was about meeting other Gaians.. and how far you'd go to meet someone you truly felt you had a connection with. Some of the people I want to meet are in other countries.. and I'd give anything to be able to meet them, but I feel like they wouldn't want me there.
So anyways. I became very emo and I wanted to listen to Linkin Park and cut myself.
I whined in my LJ.
Twenty minutes later, a friend of mine who lives in Scotland IM'd me.
Long story short, I'm going to Scotland in August. Provided I can save up the cash. Which I'm going to work my ass off for. :D
Visiting another country; have you done it? who'd you visit, if anyone? have fun?
I've only been outside of my own state a handful of times, so this is going to be a huge leap for me. D:

Sounds neat.
You'd better watch it with the emo stuff, tho'. Never know who's gonna slap you back into shape. ninja
HA. Just kidding. I think.
Anyway. I've never been outside this damn country.

You're braver than me, I think I'd be too scared to go meet someone in a whole other country but then, I'm an anti-social b***h! blaugh But yay, come to Scotland, I'm from there, its a great place, you can't beat Scottish hospitality! Which part of bonnie Scotland are you heading to?

If I could afford to, I'd love to meet quite a few people from Gaia, inside SnS and the other people I've met.
But alas, I lack the cash, so unless some of you are going to the Anime North gathering in May, I will have to accept the fact that online is the only place I'll be able to spend time with you, but that's definitely better than nothing 3nodding
I've been to Hungary, Holland and Quebec and Wisconsin, Pensilvania *spelling is wrong, I know*, Newberry, Marinette & Gaylord Michigan so far, but I'd love to do some more traveling smile

You're going to another coountry to visit someone you met online? Well, have fun and take plenty of pictures, but be careful- you don't know if this person is being honest. I'm sorry, but I am worried about your safety.

I'm a little nervous to go, but not really scared - yeah, meeting people online is creepy business, but I've known him for ... 2 years now. And I'll be attempting to drag my cousin along. :)
Squirrel - I don't know where, exactly, but he's by Edinburgh?
Dwarf - Who are you going to see? x3 I've just started saving up now, and I'm hoping to go in August... so for the next few months, I get no books, games, or anime. It'll be horrible. D: ... but worth it. (:

Oooh, and it has nice shops, I actually managed to find nice flared trousers that fit me there so I'm going to sing its' praises! Oh, and even though, if you're going in August, it'll technically be summer, take plenty warm and waterproof clothes with you, the Scottish weather tends to be a wee bit unpredictable!

I'm horrible at remembering these things) and he told me to stay with him for a few days, then get a room at an inn in Edinburgh and stay longer. x3
Warm, waterproof clothes. Got it. ;D
