Mika'il was looking for Na'ilah. They've spent plenty of time together and his mate was always on his mind. Though, he was awed at the thought of being a father. He reached the den and peered in, "Na'ilah?"

Lying on the cool, hard floor of her den, Na'ilah was resting. The swell of her stomach was large with cubs. The green lioness had a smile donned on her features at the thought of starting her own family. As the time drew near, something deep down told her it was near that time. Just as she drew in a breath, a rich scent filled her sences. Mika'il. His voice flooded her mind as she called back softly, "I'm here, Mika'il," And then she added after a pause, "I think it's about that time."

Mika'il heard Na'ilah's voice and walked into the den. He stopped next to her as she was on the ground, resting. He smiled before lowering his head to nuzzle her cheek softly, "Time, already?" He was excited!

Just as Mika'il touched her cheek, a wave of pain shot through Na'ilah as she cringed. It was definitely time. Lime green eyes gazed at her mate lovingly, "It is time...it might be a bit hard to watch, you still want to be with me?" Most males left the females alone to birth cubs, and she wasn't sure if Mika'il could stand watching the birth.
The words were caught in her throat before she could speak anything else as a sharp pain erupted through her body. Sore all over, it was gone as suddenly as it appeared, and along with it their first cub. A female.

Mika'il was about to protest when he saw Na'ilah cringed. Contractions already? He rooted himself in place and waited it out. Once it was gone, a gorgeous, light cub was lying there, wet and helpless. He gazed at Na'ilah before he walked over to lick his daughter gently.

Head raised slightly to gaze at her minty daughter. The markings and coloration were from her, but the fluff of a tail was from Mika'il. Love was in her eyes as she smiled contently, "She's precious." How many cubs would they have, she wondered. And, no sooner had she thought that had the next contraction came. It was a bit smoother this time and with less difficulty. In a plop, the second cub was born. Another female as well.

Mika'il was gently cleaning off his first daughter as his second daughter appeared. Another green female, he smiled! Nuzzling the second, he gently cleaned her as well. Anything that would help ease Na'ilah in the birthing process he would do for her.

The pain had resided as Na'ilah lifted her body to gaze at her two daughters. They were both precious, both green and a mix between Mika'il and herself. As Mika'il was cleaning them both, she felt grateful for his help, "Thank you...Mika'il." She spoke his name tenderly, full of emotions before nuzzling her daughters. Cleaning them as well with her rough tongue over their bodies, the family was bonding.

Resting on the ground, eyes were tightly shut. The little girl cub lay on the soft ground as she felt something licking off the sack which she was in. A little yelp managed to escape her throat as the cub pawed at the air. Her minty coat catching the light giving her an even more childish look. Nuzzling back at whom she now knew was her mother and father, the little girl squeeled lightly and rubbed her head on her fathers paw. Sniffing the air, it was all new to her. She had never been in a world and was now open top its beautiful surroundings. Kicking up her paws, she felt another body by hers that was close in size. Another cub. A muffled squeel escaped her throat as she felt her family by her side. Her eyes were still blind to the surroundings after being just born.

Mika'il smiled at his two daughter before he flicked his tail. He sat down and watched them with the pride of a new father. "Na'ilah! What shall we name them?"
A little green cub, darker than the first, wiggled closer to the warmth. She was near her mother and older sister. A mew came from her as she was thirsty, hungry.

((*laughs* XD))As two lime green eyes were watching the scene, Na'ilah had thought all the pain was gone and she'd be the mother of two wonderful cubs. But she was wrong. A wave of pain shot through her as she rested herself back on the ground. Cringing slightly, this one was taking a little longer than the two girls. A flop on the ground introduced the first boy of her family. A little black and gold cub.
Raising her head to gaze at the boy, she cooed softly and turned to Mika'il, "He looks like both of us!"

Pawing slowly at the soft ground, her head lay near her fathers paw and her mothers belly. Hearing another sound, she thought to herself in the unknown mind of hers. Another cub. Mewing lightly she rested as hunger and thirst arose in her, temptations to drink were hard to resist but she waited with her emerald eyes tightly shut. SHe was blind from the world being only a cub.

Just as she thought it was all over, the last of her cubs was ready for the world. The birth was long and painful, more so than the rest. Na'ilah was exhausted and wanted it to just end. Lime green eyes were closed to the world as the last contraction came and a little male cub came out. The last and runt of the litter, he was sure to be a handful, as she knew from past experience of litters.Mewing softly, the small green male inched his way blindly over to his mother. Feeling the warmth from her and others, his mind was cloudy and fuzzy as he feast.Gazing at her family with an exhausted smile, she turned to Mika'il, "They'll all need names." Nuzzling each of them and ending on the last green male, she smiled, "I'd like to name this one Siltim. And this one," She touched the light green female softly, "Ma'isah. You can name the other two."

Grunting softly, the blackened cub slowly inched his way towards his mothers side, finding himself drawn to her warmth. Nuzzling against her, he mewed softly, as he blindly found himself an area to nurse hungrly, as if he'd just battled his way into the world.
Soft sounds of slurpings and gurgling could be heard, as his black paws were placed against his mothers brightly colored side, kneading as if that would cause her milk to flow more heavily.
