This room is painted pale gold with an abstract repeating pattern on the trim, and carpeted in a soft purplish gray. The beds are built of light pine and covered in soft tan bedspreads with numerous pillows. There is a desk with a computer in one corner, and two overstuffed chairs by the window, which faces west. This room is private. Please do not enter unless you are Kamu or her parent.

Who is Kamu?

Kamu is a Halfbreed. She is half Ky'thri and half human. Her skin is light and her fur is light brown. It grows on her head and in tufts on her ankles and on the backs of her hands. Her tail is short, like a lynx's and her teeth are sharp enough to draw blood. Trust me. I should know.

Likes: Sitting in her chair, gnawing on anything in reach, her cloth mouse
Dislikes: Silence, baths

Favorites
Color: She has a liking of the color Red.
Food: my arm... and fish.
Music: Nightwish, and she enjoys heavy metal a lot, strange for a baby. Also loud, crashing cymbals and...oddly enough, "My Shiny Teeth and Me" from the Fairly Oddparents TV show.
Games: wrestling seems to do well. Also I was bad and let her take a whack at Onimusha...I think she's addicted.
Activity: Chewing on me! Make it stop!
Friend: Well, she hasn't made too many friends, but she seems to have a tentative truce with Iole.

mahii:a strange, happy-go-lucky girl who looks human, but for her red, cat-like eyes. She has the ability to walk through the shadows, but neither remembers where she learned it, nor likes to use it too often. She feels that relying on that will get her in trouble one day. She was surprised when the House entrusted Kamu to her, and even more surprised that Kamu wasn't a thing like the other charges she's had to care for in the past. Kamu was a nit-picky little thing and mahii wasn't sure she knew how to deal with that. mahii's solution to Kamu's chewing problem was to buy leather hawk gloves, but she's thinking a muzzle might be more effective. stare

When provoked, mahii can get very angry and call upon a scythe made out of water. Don't ask how that works. mahii doesn't know that either. She's trying to do her best to make Kamu comfortable and make sure that the little one doesn't hurt herself or anyone else..

mahii was dreaming of pancakes. blueberry, lingonberry, crepes. All were piled high on her plate. Then, all of a sudden, the belgian waffles started attacking her and she awoke with a start. The room was blurry and she remembered that her glasses were on the nightstand beside her. She felt a weight on her chest and realized why her dream had taken the path it had gone down. Kamu was on her chest, sinking her teeth into mahii's unprotected arm.

"Kamu! that hurts! Please stop!" mahii pleaded with the baby. Kamu gave her a look that said, "Why should I stop?" and kept gnawing away. Something about chewing on things made her feel that much better. mahii grabbed the child around the waist and sat her up, careful to keep extraneous limbs away from the mouth, "what am I going to do with you?" mahii asked. "Besides let you chew me to death?" Kamu seemed to really enjoy that idea, so mahii changed the subject, "so...Kamu. Do you like doing things that normal babies like doing? I dunno, like playing roll the ball? What am I saying. You can't talk yet, can you? All you can do is chew on me."
For once, Kamu didn't try to eat her caretaker, but merely sat on mahii's stomach and purred. mahii grinned at the little girl and went to skritch her head, wherein the ploy was unveiled and Kamu clawed viciously at mahiis outstretched arm,
"OW! MOTHERFU...OW! Ok! that's it! we're getting you a muzzle! or maybe a massive amount of chew toys..I don't know what...but I'm starting to loose flesh here!" Kamu's eyes light up and a small purring sound comes from her throat as mahii says that. "you're a sick little child...you know that? But...so..cute.."

Kamu hisses in outrage. CUTE! NEVER! the tailless one would pay one day for that. But until then...where was that song about the hills and far away? the tailless one played it before...

mahii set kamu down on the other bed and went over to the computer and sat down. It was already booted up and mahii went searching for heavy-duty chew toys. She hit play on the nightwish playlist again and looked wistfully at her stinging arm. She'd have to get some bandages later as well. She turned to look at kamu who was busy ripping seams out of her bedspread with her teeth. mahii sighs and keeps clacking away at the keyboard.

mahii yawned and rolled over, slowly coming out of her slumber. She had, oddly enough, experienced a full night's sleep and she turned, puzzled to her usual alarm clock. Kamu was still asleep, thank the lords of whoever kept the little biter from killing herself. mahii smiled to herself and sat up, rubbing sleep from her eyes.

Kamu, hypersensitive hearing picking up mahii's movement, slitted her eyes open and watched her quarry swing her legs under the blanket, over the edge of the bed. The little lynx-baby crawled her way slowly over the covers, waiting to pounce on unsuspecting legs. She yowled in annoyance when mahii looked over at her and made her now redundant morning greeting to her charge. Kamu sat there, on the bed sullenly as mahii strapped on her leather shin and arm guards.
