IMO FFVIII. The setting was interesting yes, but Rinoa just sucked the fun out of the characters with her constant annoying cries for help. The aweful magic system didn't help either...

I'm gonna have to say FFX-2. It wasn't as bad as people say it is, but.. it's definitely my least favorite out of all the ones I've played. sweatdrop

Eugh... I don't want to be attacked for this, but I'd say II. I do realize, thankyouverymuch, that graphics don't count, and it's old, but that's no excuse for such horrible, terrible character development. Well, at least to the point I got to; I didn't get all that far...
As for the later games only... Yeah, X-2. Pretty much the only redeeming quality about it is the battle system (which was awesome, admittedly).

Actually, We wouldn't be able to fully say which Final Fantasy has been the worst as the Series hasn't stopped yet, There could be worse Final Fantasies' in the Future, So really....we can't say.
Well I know that I won't as a fan ALL Final Fantasies are good to me.

FF Tactics ADVANCED was the worst ever.
The ORIGIONAL Tactics was one of my Favorites biggrin
I didnt like Tactics Advanced because of:
1. In the beginning, you couldn't skip the intro. I restarted the game a few times and I HATED having to watch it over and over again. Thats just the most stupid thing ive ever heard of, not being able to skip the intro....
2. The animation, I didnt like the way the bad guys lookd round and cuttley, and nice.... GAY
3. The battle system... omg... worst battle system EVER. I hated the 'rules' and 'laws' and the Judges that put ur peeps in jail and all that stuff.
4. Ability Learning, I hated the way we larned skills, we had to equip items to us for a certian ammount of time to learn it. GAY
5. Characters, the little boy who became prince was a puney kid with no life. The main character DIDNT want to stay in the fantasy world, he wanted to go back! And the girl with the Pink hair, she was cool, I wish I could have been her.
6. Species, FF made some bad choices with the species. I didnt like the aligators or the small, short, fat magic guys, whatever they were.
7. Jobs, negative.
8. Hmm what else... OH the side quests. There were basically TOO many for my tastes, but thats just me.

They should make a FF Tactics 2, taking place after Ramza and his sister Alma dissapear, and maybe Olan could be the main character? mrgreen

What the heck is up with FFIX? I mean...why are the characters heads almost bigger than their bodies? Why does Zidane have that dern tail!!!??? And is Kuja a boy or a girl? I mean...gawd. xd

I mean...gawd. xd Arrgh, IX is my favorite! The art style, that's just preference, the tail does have a story, and Kuja looks no girlier than Kefka. Ah, well, that's just my 'I love IX'-ness. The tail is kind of silly.

FFIX. That is by far the worst Final Fantasy. I love the Final Fantasy series, but IX kinda ruined it for me. The CG cut scenes were awful and the story was too childish.

i have to say x-2 just because i was mad that there were no guys(not to be sexist)
And it was like girl power all the way
And the fact that they could hav came out with 11 alot sooner without it
