Personally i agree with you and don't like that relationship one bit...but i suppose a part of him is actually true to his word and will keep clark's secret a secret...if the writers permit it so...

I think that it should not get into anything intimate. If they remain friends i think it is better.

really? I think their relationship is intrueging. I think that there are only a few people out there that actually understand the meaning of and in their relationship.

I like how it's like playing a game of chess with there relationship... biggrin
But it will never work... I think the only way they'd get together is if Martha got with Lionel to help Clark out for whatever reason. But I doubt it'll ever happen.

Martha and Lionel do not in anyway hav ean intimat relationship right now. and i think that it is too soon for Martha and Clark both for Martha to get into that kind of relationship. Martha was too much in love with Jonathon to move on that fast. Lionel is tryng but the wall that Martha has set around her heart is unbreakable and the moment.... and Clark is helping to hold that wall up...

Martha doesn't trust Lionel as much now that she knows that he knows Clark's secret. She would never be able to do anything with Lionel knowing that Clark disapproves of it.

That's true. And you know, I never feel sorry for Lionel when he misses outon great relationships (his son, martha, his dead wife...) because he's getting exactly hwat he deserves for all the killing and life-ruining that he's done.

But Lionel does what he thinks is right. He lives for himself. What he does may not make sense to us. But to him it makes perfect sense. He knowswhy he does things and he feels he doesn't need to explain it ot other people. Lionel knows how to take care of himself. He is not sure how to take care of other people. So he takes care of People how he takes care of himself. Which is not what people expect. and they find him to be an "evil" or "careless" person when really he is actually trying

Relationship intimacy wise: not likeable in the near future. maybe not even in the far future. It just doesn't seem possible you know? a replacement for Jon.

i do think it's really ironic that lionel's body was the vessel for clark's biological dad tho. it makes for a weird twist. it's kind of like clark's biological dad is moving in on clark's adoptive mom. i know it's not entirely like that since lionel has only shown to hold jor-el's presence during one period of time (but hey, he's still got kryptonian info floating around inside his head somewhere).
