OMG! I can 't believe I did that!
Okay our Choir every year does a Meledy from some musical, and a Senior farewell song. This year our Meledy is Rent and our Senior farewell song is "For Good" From Wicked.
Two thing's going on here. There are solos in these pieces, and they are majorly popular...
What's wrong you ask? I volunteered to audition for some of these solos. Thinking "hey I'm one of the better people in my class, why the heck not audtion"....without thinking compared to the rest of the people in the rest of choirs I don't have an ice cubes chance in the Sahara Desert of getting any of them...ugh!
Have anyone ever done that? Auditioned for something without thinking first?

Don't be so hard on yourself. If you don't audition, then you wouldn't have a chance, but because you did, then you might!
I overthink everything, so I've never really auditioned for something without thinking. sweatdrop

I audition even if I don't think I have a chance. If the teacher thinks i'm good then I might get the solo, but if I don't, oh well.

Thnx but I really tend to get nervous when I sing alone, so my voice doesn't sound half as good

Audition as much as you can! It's good practice, if nothing else. The more you do it, the more comfortable you get with the process. If you wanted the solo enough to audition, then think of it as a valuable experience.
