I HATE renting books. What if I need to make a reference or am recommending a book to a friend? I need to be able to go to the bookcase and see it. It really bothers me to read a book I don't own. So usually, if I have to borrow a book for whatever reason, I will then go out and buy it.

The only reason I don't like renting books is that a lot of pages are ripped out.

ripped out? really? I think that the libraryans check... and if a book is no longer in good condition they trash it and get another.

I usuallly buy books because it takes me a while to actually finish the book because I don't have a lot of free time.

I mostly buy them, usually first hand, second hand if I can 'cause it's cheaper.

Eddboy My school has no books. stare death to the people who run your school!!! how can you live without books? i'd go CRAZY if i didn't have any books to read in school!

if i had more money i would buy them, i have read soo many books the number is wel over a thousand i think, but i don't have enouph money to buy all the books i want to read so i get them from the library

I usually get it from the library first and buy it later if it's good. But, sometimes I just go and buy it first off, if I'm pretty sure it's going to be worth it.
