There is a lot of lessons in Smallville. A new lesson comes with every episode. Every episode each character seems to grown in their own way. Personality wise or character wise. It all depends on the episode.

Chloe is right, there are a lot of lessons. And different people can come away from the same show with different lessons/"moral of the story".
However, the over all one that I really enjoy/appreciate is "Stick with it" "don't give up".
Very important. 3nodding

I love Smallville for it's way it gives out parables. One of my favorite themes that prevails in Smallville is that beauty isn't skin deep and that you should appreciate yourself for who you are, which is so hard to do. One of my favorite episodes of Smallville is episode 7 of season one, where a girl named Jody only desires to be thin and developes an eating disorder. In the end, it's all okay though, which I just love. heart

I agree. I think that Craving was an episode with good morals as was many others. I think the biggest theme might be "Excepting that you are different" and "Only real friends can hold your biggest secrets"

Thank you Cloe Sullivan. I just love that episode, and it cuts pretty close to home. You're right; some of the best themes on Smallville are that you need to accept yourself and that life is worth having a few good friends to put your trust into. I just love Smallville for that.

Even though Craving wasn't very you know superman related persay, i think that it was an inspiration to a lot of people, and in our society it relates to us a lot.

BUT I STRONGLY DISAGREE. sorry for the caps. But do you even realize how important Lex;s character is and why it is important and vital fo lex to be and "a**"? I mean its part of the wwhoe good verse evi esson inthe show. There is no good without evil. I mean you coudn;t expect ex to be good forever.

Not really. You have to understand where the character is coming from when he makes the decisions that he does
