What do you play and how many years have you been Drum Captain?

I'm a drum captain cool this year and I play snare. I was in pit freshman year,I marched cymbals sophmore year, and I marched bass 3 last year. I love drumline and I can't wait to see what college will be like I 'm a little nervous but I'm sure it'll be cool. What do you play?

This was my first year as drum captain, although i was pit section leader for two years. i'm all sad, i'll be leaving all my drummers behind when i graduate. what makes it worse is that i'm the only senior on the line.

I am the only senior in battery and there is only one senior in pit

I've played snare for two years in Marching Band (4 yrs. altogether). I was made captain this year, but only because our teacher was an hour late last year and I had an appointment to go to. stressed

hmmm this is my first year as drum captain and ive played for 2 yrs i played multi tenors cause they are cool....*i can still beat ouyt the snare section leader too on snare*

I don't know about 'drum captain', but I'm next in line for Pit Leader at my school! Which is pretty flippin' awesome, because I'll be the first Jr. Pit Leader EVER at our school. It's gonna be rockin'!

I'm not the overall drum captain, but I'm the snare leader for next year. I've been on snare since freshman yr (2 yrs- going on 3), and I'm going to be the lead drummer in the orchestra pit for next yrs musical, and the lead drummer in jazz band next year.

Ho' snap! It's pretty cool to find out that we have several different types of drum captains here on Gaia. I'm a Senior now, but for my Sophomore and Junior year I was Bass Captain and asst. sectionleader. I actually made snare my Junior year, but I moved back to bass because our band director told me that I was the most qualified person to be bass captain and he needed someone to be in charge. I am now marching snare and am one of the 3 drum captains in my section. This fall, after we get back form our band trip to N.Y., I am going to try out for the Spirit Drum and Bugle Corp. My boyfriend, trumpet section leader in our marching band, has been touring with Spirit this summer and marches Mellophone!
