Chane made his way though the forest, carrying the egg basket on his back as he had seen Azure do on previous occasions. He paused for a moment and looked around, Azure was supposed to be meeting him somewhere around here....

Azure adjusted Gideon's quiver, she wondered if she'd ever consider it completely hers. She hoped Chane wouldn't mind that she would only be using his bow.
As she came around a bend she spotted Chane. "Hello!"

Chane spotted Azure and smiled. He took the large bundle off his back and gently set it on the ground saying, "We've been sleeping right next to this thing every night, I've been so scared we where gonna kill it if we let it get too cold. How have you been?"

Azure knelt to touch the egg, feeling its warmth, and then smied. "I'm sure you two did a wonderful job. Thanks for taking it this long..." She hadn't intended to be gone so long, but once she'd left she'd gone on another of her wandering ways. "I've been good, how about you two?"

"We where a little worried about you when you didn't come back for this little guy right away, but other then that we've been doing wonderfully. Cyn continues to disagree with my choice of a housemate, nothing new. I'm happy you managed to get me out here tonight though."

Azure lifted the basket, "I'm sorry about that..." She gave a quick smirk, "At leat it wasn't another moth to feed. Not yet at least." She started arranging the basket to go back in its place upon her back and anchored to her... other back. "I'm glad you've come," she said.

"I donno... Poet wouldn't tell me more that "Cliffside next nest," so I'm assuming an avian. Maybe some sort of bird of prey... don't know why she wants me taking it though." Probably best... she abandons those she's supposed to watch over...
One hoof dug a bit at the earth and Azure asked, "So do you have to get back soon?"

"No, I told Little Deer I'd be out for a while. He won't be worried about me untill later," He glanced at the basket again curiously. "What if it's a naga?"

"Then... um... I don't know." Azure gave a nervous laugh and checked over her shoulder. Now she was nervous for when the egg would hatch. She kept it behind her most of the time... "Though wouldn't they have softer eggs?" She was mostly trying to calm herself about the idea, she actually didn't know much about eggs.

Chane nodiced Azure squirm a little at the thought of it being a naga, and placed a reasuring hand on her shoulder. "Sorry, yeah I think that eggs from water creatures are softer... still.. it's going to be one big bird..."

"Thanks," a blush rose to Azure's cheaks and she glanced back at the egg again to hide it. "Ah!?"
The egg had moved, Azure's eyes were glued to the sunset-hued ova as it twitched again and cracked.

Chane followed Azure's gaze down to the basket, "Hey! It's hatching! Looks like I get to find out what sort of bird it is after all!"

Azure snatched the basket up and knelt down, setting it on the ground. "Don't want it to fall after all..." she said, covering the fact that really... she just didn't want it attacking her... if it wanted to.
"But um... I suppose it'll want to eat..." She glanced around, she knew of a few fruit bearing trees nearby but not much else.

Chane reached into his side bag and pulled out some fresh fruit, "If it helps any Cyn just gave me these the other day. I was going to give them to you, since fruit is harder to come buy this early... "
