First off, I really shouldn't have to say this, but this is obviously for those who have played these games. If you haven't played both of these games and you're trying to avoid spoilers, please turn back now.

Anyway, those who have played both games would know that Axel has two completely different personalities. In Chain of Memories, we bore witness to the cold, ruthless Axel. He had seemingly been plotting against the Organization with Marluxia and Larxene, but had actually been spying on them from the beginning. In doing so, he gladly murdered Vexen with no hesitation. He then intended to dispose of Marluxia (as well as Namine in the process) "in the name of the Organization", indicating that he is fiercely obediant to them. Or to his Superior, at least, because he later allowed the Riku Replica to kill and absorb Zexion.

In Kingdom Hearts 2, we got to see a more compassionate side of Axel through his relationship with Roxas. While before he as well as his comrades had never shown any remorse whatsoever, Axel had demonstrated that he remembered what it was like to have a heart, and in fact enjoyed being able to. Other members such as the leader Xemnas only cared for anger and hate. In CoM, Axel wouldn't have hesitated to kill someone for Organization XIII, he was clearly hesitant when facing off with Roxas. Axel was at first trying to recruit him back to the Organization, but once Roxas had fused with Sora, Axel changed sides in hopes of seeing Roxas again in Sora, and even gives his own life so that Sora (and more importantly, the Roxas within him) could live.

This isn't to say that Axel wasn't still a bad-a** in KH2, because he was, this is merely asking if you preferred his pure dark side in CoM, or his somewhat lighter, more caring side in KH2.

I like Axel in KH2 more as well. I cried when he did that for Sora. And poof. T__T I find it really sad/sweet of his feelings for Roxas, since we know he's not capable of -real- emotions since he has no heart, but he still feels like he has one around him.

i like kh2s axel because he saved sora instead of fighting him like in COM
he also tried to be friends with roxas if he remembered who he was

Axel from KH2! I loved him in that one compared to the COM one.

His heart exists in the feelings of others. (Wow that was deep.)

axel in COM was kool but i loved him waay more in kh2! it was so sweet what he did. crying

I like Axel from KH2 cause, felt a connection to a heart through Roxas, and because of this he went against the Organization because they wanted Roxas Roxas eliminated.
